Even we not have to change the battery after 3 years
What about new batteries cost bro
u r prolly the 1st EV enthusiast who DID talk about battery change cost ...cheers!
thank you
Hey Pradeep,
You can add some more Cons for EV scooters: they will charge a huge amount for the Motor, and charger after 3 years around 40,000 to 45,000 as the warranty will expire but for petrol scooters, you can spend 10,000 and replace the engine.
I feel after 3 to 4 years Ev infrastructure will be good and battery price will decrease with advanced technology...
True but for that we have to buy EV'S now and we have done just that
@@rajatverma360 yes, most of the people postpone their purchase to reduce the price !!!!
yeah bro home charging is good but without tesla supercharger even tesla is worthless
battery price wont decrease it will increase

😍😍😍
Mast aagi ide bro nim content. Brutally honest and glad I’ve found an excellent Karnataka Vlogger who emphasises on the much needed topics rather than sucking up for EVs all the time.
I own a jupiter scooter and I have road 19,000 kms in last 3 years. The total cost including the services charges is still under 1.2 lakh so it makes no sense for me to buy a ev now.
Yes Its depend on u r daily ride
Bro met you at aadeshwar today. But could not recognize u then. This is my goto channel for electric vehicles. Kudos. 👍🏻
U are really awesome bro...keep up the good work and I completely agree with you 💯% ...
Really good video you understand people with examples and scenerios that i really appreciate.
We have Bajaj Chetak EV and Ather 450X now and yeah charging them daily everyday 2 days is a headache + the range is not making much sense for long rides .

One big factor to consider for EVs is choosing a new company. We don't know where most of these will be on the next decade. Will we we able to get spares and service? What happens to the battery degradation? Current crop of EV companies doesn't instill confidence and I feel they need to mature a lot especially in the after sales and service side. We should see good improvements as more adoption is coming.
awesome content 👍
For Ola S1 pro it consumes 4-5units of electricity for above 130km range and if you use optimally as city riding using regenerative braking can go above 130km.
Waited and booked ₹499 for Ola and Bounce infinity, then i thought about the ICE convenience so went and bought Honda Activa
Good buy bro... EV market is still new and not much reliable right now..
I was almost about to buy an ather before I saw this video. Thanks for the information.
Fact : battery in ev itself produces so much pollution while manufacturing that to cancel that out you should travel for 1,80,000 km or more them you will be somewhere equal to the petrol vehicles pollution levels.
Yup no reviewers covers this and speaks about this
And power you use to charge is highly polluting industry too
That's doesn't makes any sense indeed it's nothing but just as same ridiculous conspiracy ideology of some fossil fuel funded media mafia's myths. The entire world rapidly moving to adopt the EV and in parallely the energy sector also under it's transition from dirty fossil fuel to renewable one by end of this decade. In India case, Reliance and Adani's recent future new energy strategies is the best example for that.
@@Missingtailpipesby i think the research was done by some UN researcher and it said the extraction of raw material s like lithium cobalt and others produce huge amount of pollution. Plus there minerals arent unlimited so we need a good reliable energy source to depend on.
It might be that ev are cheaper on long run as compared to fuel but pollution free doesnt fit in the bracket

I believe if you have both ICE and EV bikes at home, you can switch up whenever you want. but say, for a working individual away from their home, might want to go on a long rides on a weekend and also ride in the city. which one would you buy? now that's a very tough decision to make. like you said, convenience over money.

"Minimum 5 years indians keep their 2 wheeler"
Me cleaning my 2009 CBF Stunner laughing 😂😂😂😂😂.But one thing is for sure that once you drive an EV bike, it's very very difficult to ride a petrol bike because you just don't want to pay to travel anymore at all. #facts.
I like the idea of ev but the fact of the high battery price and the ev are very delicate and require a lot of care and they prices are itself very high is a pain.
Bro pls TVs ntorq vs ola S1 Pro drag race
Sure bro 😎 ill do it
Comparison with bajaj Platina (or any good mileage bike) will be interesting
I think you made a mistake accounting avg milage of ice scooters to be 40kmpl . You accounted that EV run 100km in a single charge . But that is in its eco mode . If you ride ICE scooters in its eco mode(40,50) without drastic acceleration you will get a high milage figure .
I agree , see this calculation is to give a general overview . Everyone can do the calculation in the same format with the mileage and range they are getting .it's that simple
One video on rv 400 T mode
Ather ola promotor.
Why no videos on pure etrance neo.
Best in market in price, range is etrance neo.
Wat about battery cost ...
For petrol vehicle there is no need to invest like we do for ev (above 50k = cost of new petrol vehicle with best build quality)
Every video in UA-cam about ev 's will not say the battery cost to the viewers
For ather it's around 68000
For ola it's 85000
He mentioned it in the video dummy didn't watch the video properly and making stupid comments. Here 09:22
If petrol prices hike day by day service and spares also cost high to maintain. If already have petrol bike run it for 3-4 years once ev sorted out all issues and many charging station will arise in future. Or if some one need a bike go for seconds its cheaper and run for 3 more years. Next 3 years most of them switch it to ev. But most important point we are not able to run high cost bike later change to ev, what about bus and truck most of the needful things only shipping on trucks. If these products rise day by day we are hard to live beacuse of high cost of living. Govt should sort this issue. Most of them didnt get salary hike to manage todays cost of living. Future if many be double. This is a nightmare for everyone.
So running 1500 km in a month on ola which will cost me electricity bill 800 rs.
Hi pradeep pls do a complete test drive and comparison of bajaj chetak ev. We r waiting...
ua-cam.com/video/hU3WvPuOFqo/v-deo.html already made a video 🙌
EVs are good for short or intra-city rides. The technology has not yet been perfected. In my view, eventually EVs will be popular when the required infrastructure is in place.
Hai, your blog is good, comparison also best. But one thing I want to bring your attention that before putting calculations kindly check it. In this vlog a lot of calculation mistakes there. Otherwise it's good and informative
Sure thank you
7:02 same service cost for both electric and petrol scooter? And you are saying electric has less maintainance? Editing prob?
Noo , it's the same cost if you go with the subscription model which ather has , I agree that it has less moving parts but still it's almost the same cost 🥲🥲
ಪೆಟ್ರೋಲ್ ವೆಹಿಕಲ್ ಗುಡ್ ಬ್ರೋ, Electrical vehicle Current Situation Not good. After 1 Year Electrical vehicle battery Need to be change and Cost Also high...
Good Reviews on both Petrol and Electric.
I think it's better to tk Mileage bike to ride long distances instead of electric vehicles but my personal suggestion would be - Go4 Electric bicycle with pedal assist would be best to purchase and for daily commute plus long distances...
Thank you
U can pick pure ev epluto 7g with 120 km range and roadside assistance for repairs, the cost of vehicle is around 95k same as petrol scooter. And one more thing is dead battery cells are replaced with new one free of cost within the warrant period after that they charge for the replace cells only not for full battery in only in pure ev company.Plz check the info about ev and give review.
Blasted
@@arunp2885 but the service point of view pure ev is best and vehicles are blasting due to high demand and low supply, the testings are reduced. But now they realised the mistake and recalled the vehicles. No other company provide service probably like pure ev .You can compare with other company service review of customers.
I'm wondering why you didn't cover TVS iQube🤔
👏👏👌
Petrol Scooter (Jupiter) ki sabse sasti wali model ka paisa bataya Rs1,01,000 mumbai ki on road pricing hai Jupiter ki. Aur ather ki Rs.1,35,000.
Best choice is to buy mileage star bikes like CT100, Shine etc. EVs are not practical or economical right now. Period.
You TOTALLY missed the point Pradeep. If upfront cost plus running cost adds up to same for both after 3 years, why would I buy an EV ?? Lol
A major mistake you did in your calculations, is you didn't discount all values to its present value using the borrowing rate for 3 years. That way you will get a major reduction in price for the petrol vehicle
You get tax exemption in interest rate for ev vehicle loan , so in reality ev is more cheaper
@@RahulJha-mc6nz not really, section 80 EEB gives you a deduction of 150k only on the interest component, there is no way you can accrue 150k only on interest. At the end of the day you'll be saving 30% of 150k which is 45000 (assuming you are in the highest tax bracket). Additionally, you will still have to pay the loan with interest (which nullifies the savings in tax, if not adds to the expense)
I booked ather 450x on 5th feb 2022 and its ready for delivery by today i.e 18/2/22
Ather is giving deliveries faster
That's awesome
At 2:50 bhai hamare yaha udaipur (RAJASTHAN) me to ₹10 per unit hai electricity bro.
Ev is the future.
Good one @pradeeponwheels bro.. After 3yrs, the life of EV is a ??. You spoke abt it👍🏼 No one speaks about after 3-4yrs. Since I think that's the max. life for a EV bike/scooter.. its gonna cost more for the battery & charger.. around 15k-20k / kWh as of now.. It's minimum 45k - 60k.. If calculating with that, petrol vehicle is better than EV. In that case EV is not the future as of now.. It too has environmental effects of scrapping the useless batteries. We have to think of that too right.. My choice ll be ICE till EV has a good infrastructure in india.
If you calculate the replacement cost of battery it will be best to use petrol vehicle
not every battery has to be replaced in 5 years😂
it should last 7-8 years easily, he just told you about the chances
For going to nearby places like buying groceries and shopping petrol scooter is better, for daily commuting electric scooter is best specially if your college or office is distant place.
Hai Pradeep
I have also booked ola s1pro and now waiting for my delivery.
I am getting tired and frustrated by fuelling petrol in my Jupiter which gives me 45 km to 50 broccoli mileage in city Pune.
My daily commute is around 50 to 60 km so in an average I need 1 litre petrol daily which cost 110 for litter.
So my monthly expense for fuel is roughly 3500 rupees plus every 2500kms i have two service my scooter which will cost 6- 800 rupees.
You could have gone for platina then.
And you forgot about battery replacement cost after 3 to 5 yrs and battery depresiation which will also reduce range
I'm using my phone for 3 years, it had a warranty of 1 year but lasted 2 more year and still counting. So if someone providing warranty for 3 years it should last +2 years. Moreover Revolt is offering 5-6 years of warranty on their battery and you didn't mention that. Also Petrol Vehicles' maintenance cost increases with time it doesn't stays the same. I don't know what wrong with you. If you are comparing something, you should look at all directions. I haven't done the calculation but in the end owning cost of both vehicles might be the same. Please provide proper insight. It may misguide people. 🙏Peace.
Experts say ev batteries should last 10 to 20 years with normal use and around 400,000km. This is based on more than 10 years of actual testing. Ather offered a 3 year buy back for 75% of cost. They would not do that if battery was rubbish in 3 years. This is useless fear mongering.
@@barryobrien1890 Who are you ji? I see your comments in so many EV youtube channels. Just curious and moreover, I am learning from your comments.
But why we go for Ather or ola we can go for TVS iqube or beyond EV or Puer EV which is similar to jupitar cost... Ether and ola expensive because their features and range.
Why battery replacement cost not considered after 1 use? I am using my Honda bike since 8+ years . Base of question is considering 100km drive per day .

For the primary vehicle i think still petrol is more convenient and easy to use. Yes we can deny running cost is low in EV but then we have to charge it before going anywhere that is i think bit annoying as of now, then no mechanic also
anna wannakum ... after a while but you're too optimistic and rather biased towards electric vehicles which is good in a sense for environment and zero expenditure for day to day task . but what and long drive beyond 100 and topping off as u mentioned pumps are everywhere . so kindly do more reviews or drag racing with petrol to ather or Ola delaytric .

Better to buy Bajaj Platina 100cc bike because they giving 80km mileage.
Bro after a lot of research i bought Okinawa praise Pro for 92k
Ather founders were all of 28 years of age when they founded their company. Quality education really does pay off.
If i go for the Ather 450 plus gen 3 then ill save 20k on the cost . Jupiter one service cost oill300+ labour 300+ Break pads 1000 = 1600( atleast 8 services in 3 years) and this is basic in gendral the service and running cost for petrol vehicles are more than 12500 for 3 years.
Every electric vehicle is Gansta until the battery dead issue shows up🤣🤣🤣🤣
If anyone looking for long term vehicle, they don't buy EV as the infrastructure in India might take atleast 2 years. Once battery swapping is effective and made compatible with all EVs like our mobile universal charger slot, you can go for EV as you don't have to worry much about the battery replacement cost and charging time, though there will be running cost like petrol... You will become a lab rat if you buy an EV now...
@@karthika560 You are right bro, but running cost approach itself will change if swapping is introduced and not sure how battery degradation will be accounted. Buying EV is not very bad, but it is still not reliable as ICE engine as we don't have proper infra. I was researching for 3-6 months with direct customer feedback on EV owners irrespective of brand and believe me most of them are not satisfied for different reasons.
As central govt is now pushing for these swapping stations, there could be a lot of changes we can expect in the battery design. So we will have to wait and see how it goes :)
@@kumaranragunandan3168 finally which best in today scenario?
@@arunp2885 I can't say in terms of which is best, but EV market is not yet reliable bro.. cost wise if you see in a longer term, there will not be any huge different in savings... I would still prefer petrol until EV infra in India gets stability and don't risk your hard earned money.. anyways we tend to change vehicles at after 4-5yrs, maybe you can consider EV at that time depending on the market...
@@kumaranragunandan3168 tvs iqube is worth?
@@arunp2885 it's good bro but over priced for the specs it offers.. if you commute less than 55-60 kms a day and for that price if you are fine, you can buy that.. however wait for simple EV and see what it offers...
3 years for battery life is less.. ather will easily survive 7-8 years if you follow thr correct protocols for charging and maintain good life cycle
What about battery capacity reducing with use. Every month range reduces. EV Vehicles with current range is not practical.
The high cost of replacement battery in EVs is a big downer for me.

After 3 or 4 years, we need to replace the battery as the performance down to 20, 30%. New battery cost 60k to 80k. We need to look into this perspective.

Simple one vs others
Pradeep. You are not telling the true story. The battery warranty is 3 years but manufacturers say 7 years life or more. Manufacturer only gives 1 year warranty for ice bike. By your thinking you would need a new bike after 1 year. Corbett gave an 8 year warranty on their battery which uses the same cells. Also, when you purchased your Ather, they gave you the option to sell it back for 75% of cost so you could say it cost only 50,000. If battery was dead in 3 years they would not offer this.
Lithium battery cells for cars and scooters come from the same supplier, and the average life of these batteries is more than 150,000 km. Tesla has tested it for 500,000 using hyperchargers. Nissan leaf car also has shown over 200,000 using home chargers. This was with 10 years old batteries, and new batteries are better. My phone, which I charge every day lasts more than 3 years. If you go 100km every day on your scooter, then you would go 100,000km in 3 years. For petrol your cost is 2.5 lac, and battery is 32000, so even if battery wears out in 3 years like a phone charged every day, your scooter would save you almost 1 lac. This report is rubbish. Sorry. You need to sit down and calculate it out properly. Use actual battery life and not warranty life as warranty means nothing. You are very correct on convenience and range where ice definately wins. Thanks 😀
Okay noted 🙌
What is ice bike?
@@jackiechan2568 petrol. Ice means internal combustion engine. Covers lpg, diesel and petrol engine.
@@barryobrien1890 ok tel.me.I want to buy one vehicle under 1.5lakh should I go with EV or normal?
@@jackiechan2568 well first remember that you can always rent or borrow a bike for long range rides.
First decide your use. If it's mostly for going to and from a job at 80km per day total, then electric is possible. If more than this distance then petrol is probably better. Allow some extra distance for battery aging, days with heavy traffic, days when you go out to lunch, or carry a pillion. Don't get a bike with too little range as you might change job etc. Next consider charging. If you can charge at work or home, then electric will save money and bike will pay for itself over life of 5 to 7 years. Revolt or Corbett are best for battery charging if you cannot charge in your building. Avoid bounce if you want to save money, as swapping is expensive. If you like going for weekend rides and touring, then avoid electric as it's really only suited to around town. Finally electric is the future, and you can get a good subsidy if you order in the next year or so. As electric gets more popular and charging stations are available the value of petrol bikes will drop. The government will increase tax and your resale will be less. If you like fun then Ather and Ola are faster than anything out there in the same price range. They will hold value and be easy to sell. Simple one is a non starter until they get a lot of funding, and it will likely be a year after that before you get a bike. Hero and Honda may have bikes in 2023, but they won't compete with Ather or ola for performance. Okinawa is a good basic bike as is iCube. Cheetak is expensive but nice style. Try for a fast charge bike as charge stations will certainly grow and improve your usability. If you decide on petrol, look to a used model as you won't lose as much value as they get squeezed off the roads. The government is serious about phasing out petrol so it can import less oil. The environment will be used as an excuse to add taxes to petrol and people will be encouraged to switch.
Just my opinions.
If you keep any electric bike for 5 years and drive 10,000km per year you will save the price of the bike. Less than this amount, you will like the reliability and convenience of electric, and resale will remain high as the prices wond drop by much and subsidy will end. You cannot go too far wrong unless you like touring
ice is still has more advantages sad to say.
It;s just a matter of time only that in India case it's maximum 5 years, the ICE already dead and no more ICE
@@Missingtailpipesby 😂😂 India full of poor even me i cant buy any scooty let alone spend on ev 🤣 only rich can buy
