I definitely didn't do my due diligence when I purchased my first condo. Within a year I had to replace the hot water heater & A/C unit. Then there was structural issues with the balcony that had to be addressed after 2 years 😭. I still think you could find great condos out there but definitely do your due diligence like you said.
That’s not just condo ownership, that’s homeownership for you. I recommend looking into getting a Home Warranty. They are something that could help in the future. It will cover things like appliances, HVAC, plumbing etc., great for new homebuyers.
