Dont know if you said it bc my english is not that good to understand everything, but... the thing that bothers me, is the lack of good ambience, i mean the new ost is sick, so epic, but if we go back to the OG, we had creepy sounds while we go to the village, and now we have almost absolute silence in the remake, the new ost is the goat, but is the kind of music that i prefer to listen on spotify rather than in a survival horror game, also i miss that brown tint, everything was like so old, so abandoned, so sad, and that fits so good to the game once you know the backstory of the villagers, now we have like a bluish tint everywhere.
You put that into words PERFECTLY, you are totally right, my favorite part of RE7 especially, is the sound design. There is ALWAYS some kinda scary noise that keeps you on edge, keeps the tension high, and makes you not wanna open the next door. As a fan of the series since the PS1 era the only real problem I have with RE4 remake is that they added so many weapons in mercenaries and the separate ways dlc that you can’t unlock to use in the base game. They’re modelled, animated, balanced for gameplay and some even have special ammo types that could all be added to the enemy drops loot table but for some reason they just didn’t add them. I’d love to use Wesker’s M9 or Ada’s knife as Leon, hell they could have even added an unlock in the extra store for the silver and gold tokens for the charms machine so you don’t have to spend an hour every playthrough grinding the shooting range, that would’ve been so nice as someone that plays the games as much as I do does
I have yet to play the DLC, and have never played the OG so I can't really comment on that, but that does seem like an oversight to just not include them, at least let them unlock after you complete the game the first time if you don't want to alter the original more than they did. @ all third person shooters, max payne 3 comes close, but isn’t as consistently good as resi 4 is, the shooting on mp3 is brilliant but i would argue slightly less engaging than that of resi 4
It was definitely good, I loved the gameplay, I was just disappointed with the lack of scares, I guess starting with RE7 really set the horror bar too high for me. Still a great game though! Thank you SO much for watching!
I wanna try the original because people seem to all think it has more of the horror stylizing. And dont get me wrong I do love the cod zombies gameplay but I do wish it was scarier.
@xAlston_ no the original is waaaaay more actiony and easier you can knock down the chainsaw men with 1 shotgun bullet and the enemies barely attack you from behind not to mention is brighter re4 remake is the scarier one
If you want real horror you should play games like Bloodborne or silent hill, resident evil is not real horror. I prefer the action aspects tbh but i will say re2 remake was awesome as a horror game no question
I am actually streaming Silent Hill 2 right now, its the next video I'm posting, it is HORROR. And that being said I do think 7 was horror, and 2 was as close to perfect horror as you can get. 8 had the house of beneviento but other than that it was just action too. Hey a lot of the community told me 4 is their favorite including everyone I know personally so thats what I based it on. And I've played 2, 3, and 4 remakes and 7 and 8. I'm 25 most of the originals were before I could hold a controller so you are correct there lmao
Yes 4 is the one of the fan favorites, but I’ve heard literally every RE game be someone favorite other than 6&8. Not to mention you haven’t even played 4, you played remake 4.

Resident Evil 4 remake is awesome, The best game of 2023 to me.

You can play the originals officially through gog launcher, it's quite a cheap bargain, and they come with optimizations.
