A couple of years back I went with a commanche because my career went from performing to alot of studio engineering and I needed that quality sound with quiet pickups. But the legacy is really amazing. You can't go wrong with either one.
I had wanted a real strat for a long time, went into my local Mom and Pop music store a high end mom & pop by the way (Danville Music) and I found a used Fender strat I wanted to purchase, one of the salesmen asked me if I had ever tried a G&L and of course the 1st thing that went through my mind was the Headstock ! I knew of G&L for years as I guy I knew back in High School had a G&L Bass and that thing sounded incredible, and this was back in the early 80s , I plugged in the G&L through a PRS amp like I have at home and OMG, this thing sang, it was clearer and warmer than the semi modded Fender I was looking at, and it was roughly the same price for a new U.S.A. Legacy. I was sold, I bought it in winter of 2022 so It's most likely a 2021 model but I love it, it became my go to guitar when I wasn't playing one of my Les Pauls. If you have a chance to play one I highly recommend don't let the head stock be the deciding factor , these guitars are great the it has Bass and Treble bleed knobs instead of tone knobs you can really dial in the sound your looking for , 5 way toggle so you can play 2 pick ups at a time. A more modern version of the Stratocaster made by the inventor of the Stratocaster.
I used to Hate the G&L headstock …it made me disqualify ever trying any of their guitars. One day I was traveling to meet a friend and he asked me to bring my tools to help set up his guitar. To my surprise it was a G&L. As a favor I started to set it up for him and I immediately noticed the quality in every detail of the guitar, I was dumbfounded. It was every I wanted on a strat and then some! To make a long story short, I came home with the guitar. I pretty much offered him any of my Fenders for it and we traded. I still have the guitar, it’s amazing…its sounds unreal. The headstock designed grew on me rather quickly.
I have a G&L S.500 American Strat... Made In the late 80's . All original still in the case and some paper work.. I know a lot about Leo Fender history... This Strat has 2 spots for the wammy bar... Just like to know more about this bridge because I can't find anything that has this kind of bridge. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
They both are amazing guitars but If I had to choose just one then it definitely would be comanche. It is just to unique and too versatile. Please contact us on austorers@gmail.com or in any of our socials and will come up with something:)
This is a real Strat. Just because Fender guitars say Fender on them makes them all a wanna be Strat, Nobody named Fender works at Fender. If you want a real Leo Fender guitar buy Leo's last Legacy G&L I own several and love them. Give them a test run, you'll be impressed. Los Angeles
👍 what are you going to tell your wife when you bring another G&L 🎸 home 😂🤣‼️ I went to my local music store in 🇺🇸 and was told that G&L are mow are pre order ..so the store will not carry G&L anymore.
Hello! It is scientifically proven that after the 2nd G&L all the wives of our customers just accept the faith and agree for the third one as well! So please contact us on austorers@gmail.com or in any of our socials. We will help you to get your hands on one of Legacies:)
I have 4 strats and two of them are vintage. They were handpicked from a bunch for their sound. And after swapping parts (bodies/pickups) I am convinced the tone comes from the wood, mostly neck. I find that G&L has that vintage sound. They are great guitars. I have a vintage G&L Invader and it’s incredible. If I didn’t already have so many nice sounding Fenders I’d snag Legacy right asay
The tones and resonance are much better than a Fender....but personally I dislike the headstock on their guitars...I would probably buy the guitar and replace the neck with a Warmoth neck (Fender strat headstock)
Правильно что с рашки уехал, и начал сам двигатся на европейском рынке, а то в рашке ни гитар теперь нормальных нет, да и покупателей все меньше и меньше.
I own 2 legacy guitars. They are amazing sounding guitars. If you're on the fence about getting a G&L, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed.

If you had to choose between a Legacy or Comanche, which would it be? I’ve been dying to try a Comanche locally but they are hard to find…

@@acoustic-unionThanks! Trying to keep my guitar collection smaller but that’s tough to do 😄

"На Буншу нашего похож". 😅 Шутка.

I can understand the sentiment, but I don’t notice the headstock when I play. I do notice G&L being superior to modern Fenders in every way.

Because Russia sucks and is being destroyed by Putin!
А я думаю: "Где-то я вас видел! Не узнаю в гриме. На Буншу нашего похож".😅
Шутка. Конечно же, правильно правильно сделал, что уехал из Мордора.
