It is impossible to see this beauty without shedding a tear. It is the last song of the last album of these three greats of music. A legacy of love for humanity. Neil Peart Forever!
At 67, I've experienced the entire breadth of the greatest musical era in history - and I do not leave out the Classics. Having said that, the passing of Neil Peart hit me hard. I never cried for all the other influential artists before, even though the passing of George Harrison was tough. Neil wrote the lyrics, and contributed so much to the emotive energy of Rush.

It doesn’t seem real that he’s no longer with us in the physical form but I’m blessed to feel just a small bit of his spirit that I’ve let into my soul from this man, not only as a one of a kind percussionist/composer, but as a human being as well. A wonderful tribute...Neil taught me how to think a little more before reacting to things in life... I often think of his lyrics when I need to try and be smart about some decision to be made. And for that I am grateful... RIP professor and Godspeed...
I do not believe the world will ever again know such a masterful percussionist with a gift for knowing just the right words to match the movement, emotion, and feeling of a song. Neil Peart was a human metronome and artist with an absolutely uncanny mastery of North American English... a master musician and timeless poet rolled into one. Rest in peace, professor, and I mean that with respect. You've touched lives more than you will ever know.
Ah...damn. I miss Neil. I just consider myself VERY fortunate that I got to see Rush live (maybe 10 total times?) between 1996 and 2015. But this is a very fitting tribute, set to the very last song on the very last Rush album -- and wow, WHAT A SONG it is, indeed.
I only knew Neil Peart through his lyrics and drumming, when I heard he passed, honestly it felt like the wind was knocked outta me...sincerely Rush and their music and lyrics got me through some tough times...

Neil's passing was not only a figurative punch in my stomach, but the only celebrity death that made me cry. I found out via a text from my wife while on coffee break at work. And it took all I had not to tear up at work, perhaps the shock helped keep it at bay. As soon as I came in the door the tears let loose and I mourned his passing with other Rush fans on You Tube. I found out about Neills passing on 11/1/20 and it was like suffering a second TBI. I am now just starting to play my Fender Jazz Bass again, thankyou very much Neil Peart.
My teacher and Bodhisattva - as a drummer, lyricist and song-writer... His passing hit me harder than ANY death I've experienced up to this point in my life. I've moved away from drumming to keyboards in the last few decades, but Neil's lessons and passion for truth and perfection in music influence me to THIS day. I really wish we ALL could have had a couple more decades with Professor Pratt. His flame blew out far too soon for my liking. Endless peace and ecstatic drumming in your eternal bliss, Milton. ☮
i seen Rush live in concert twice, and pretty much followed them through out their careers, once Neil got past his Ayn Rand phase his creative side really began to take off,Neil was a fantastic poet, lyric song writer as well as a fantastic drummer, the album "clock work angels" is the ultimate farewell album,a master piece!
An incredible human being he had such Immense talent. He was one of the top drummers in the world. He worked very hard at his craft and his art he had incredibly high standards for himself and he always met those standards whenever it came to touring and performing he was always outstanding. it was a very sad day when I heard he had passed he leaves behind an incredible legacy of great works and he is an amazing example to all of us how to be humble and human you are greatly missed, Neil Peart!

I miss you so much Neil but i am so happy you are no longer in pain...☝❤🙏
I was shocked at how his passing affected me. In my case, I was drawn to him more because of his writing than his drumming although he was certainly a master of the art. Did not expect to feel those emotions and this is my favorite Rush song. Not sure ANYONE is a better lyricist.

Thank You!!! So much
Beautifully done, Milo Matthews. I think I got something in my eye...
I found out about Neills passing on 11/1/20 and it was like suffering a second TBI. I am now just starting to play my Fender Jazz Bass again, thankyou very much Neil Peart.
It's not tears no my sinuses are just bugging me. Hope you're on a great stretch of road Neil, enjoy the ride
so sorry to hear, candle will burn always
Thank you Milo, eyes are wet......thank you, Neil...
Sometimes I feel sad when watching Neil the fact that he has really gone away to a better place he will be with family
i seen Rush live in concert twice, and pretty much followed them through out their careers, once Neil got past his Ayn Rand phase his creative side really began to take off,Neil was
a fantastic poet, lyric song writer as well as a fantastic drummer, the album "clock work angels" is the ultimate farewell album,a master piece!
Who else dare even tread into territories these deep
Words like steel caressed into meaning profound
Altered evocation in themselves another dimensional sound
Vertigo acknowledged gazing into the abyss of truth so steep.
Great job, Mr. Milo. Now I got something in my eye.
Gone, but never forgotten.

jesus christ, i had a stroke reading that. if what you said is what i think you did, you're completely right. completely amazing from day 1. they never lost their talent and great music writing. RIP Professor
This is the most amazing and touching video I have ever ever seen of Neil. I have played drums myself for over 40 years and have always strived to reach his level of excellence and precision. God-bless the Professor, how I miss him. 🙏
Wow this was so nice! I remember the day he died i was listening to a few songs & for some reason this one came on & i just started crying like a little baby! I'm 45 & can remember when my aunt gave me a RUSH mirror she won in a carnival when i was 9 yrs old. They've been in my life & every fans for so long! I miss you so much Neil but i am so happy you are no longer in pain...☝❤🙏
I won that mirror at my town's summer carnival too when I was about 12!!!!
Beautiful! I never tire of seeing this legacy of the master Neil Peart. Every now and then I come back to watch this video over and over again.
As do I....
I fell like a brother was died. There's no consolation.
תודה ניל על המורשת שלך מתגעגע
It just doesn't feel right now that he is gone. So much talent and now it's gone. I got the news at work and I cried. My co-workers didn't understand.
Brought tears to my eyes! He was the best
Still numb from Neil's passing
This was beautifully done. Neil was so important to so many people. He is truly missed and always will be. Awesome video. ✌️😎👍
Seen Rush, Snakes.& Arrows tour, Neil Pratt was.extraordinary amazing, ( best drummer in The world)!!
I was shocked at how his passing affected me. In my case, I was drawn to him more because of his writing than his drumming although he was certainly a master of the art. Did not expect to feel those emotions and this is my favorite Rush song. Not sure ANYONE is a better lyricist.
