I’ve always really liked Block as a character, I assumed he was going to be some generic evil army man who just wants to destroy the town. But he’s actually quite reasonable. He gives the healers a solid amount of time to find the cure, and is even willing to buy some of the more fantastical elements of the town like Claras miracles. He only destroys the town if you the player instruct him to, he’s willing to just shoot the polyhedron instead.
He's willing to do more than that, in the changeling story in a truly fantastic and way to hopeful for this kind of game ending, he and clara are openly embracing while watching kids play. In this ending at least, they totally take control of the town and create their own special world. In the dialogues with clara he even asks her to come with him to change the country. He says many times he wants peace and he hates that his military leaders are in a perpetual cycle of war. He even spares Yulia and Lara from their planned assassination preferring to lock them down and leave them alone then execute them. He is a typical self righteous hero and he wants to portray that as best he can. He cares about his image, but he also cares about something more. And its a little strange that he cares so much for clara and see's her as a partner to help him achieve greatness. Altho he isn't totally a positive guy, in the same ending I'm discussing two men fall to their knees and apparently die. This basically signifies that, altho clara and block take over the town and stabilize it, there's still causalities and men are killed. For what reason is unclear.
Well, he is actually tired of the government being so careless when it comes to people's lives and safety so he kinda rebels against it, I assume. Good for us as the main characters though :)
There are few moments as Pathologic as the one where the Inquisitor tells you that the army didn't send you a sanitary corp, but instead they sent you two artillery divisions and a flamethrower corp. You know - just in case you didn't fully grasp the meaning of "it all ends in less than five days"...
My absolute favorite theme of the game. It's a time of disaster and misery, people are suffering and dying horrible, painful deaths in the streets. With little medicine to go around and a lack of appropriate law enforcement... It's not a time for panic, but a time for a calculated strategy, cold thinking, order, and necessary force to contain the threat.
Is it ever a time for panic though? Panic only seems to make thing worse no matter what is actually is that's happening around But yeah, I also like this one the best :)
Insane, I just finished pathologic last night, and had the ost stuck in my head. And come to find out the guy who's SH2 analysis has been sitting in my watch later for a week has uploaded it. Small world.
The niche my channel somehow occupies is small but I am glad it exists and can help people out - whether they're looking to recapture a sense of emotion and immersion, or to analyze the games that provided those experiences in the first place. Thanks for stopping by!

@@HistorysMysterys Sacrifices that make the Miracle possible.
Who here came to this song from the Barotrauma COR mods?

Well army is using a sledgehammer for a problem requiring a scapel.
And the worst thing is that the army may have the RIGHT idea there.
@@tzeentch800 The Sand Plague is really a problem you can only fix with a sledgehammer unfortunately

согласен с вами! очень точные мысли, очень эмпанирует персонаж. При первой встрече пробирало до мурашек, в дополнении с идеально подобранной музыкой👍
But why does it SLAP so hard
Feel like some Half Life ost
Truth, it is unreasonably hard
Молодой победоносный генерал и герой. Прибыл он на свой вечный погост.
Враг его бестелесен и бессилен пред ним он. И смерть уже уготована свыше ему.
You know... if you have a banger theme like that... I can ignore the warcrimes they do.
Темный депрессивный кач
то что надо👍:)

Finally finished the game one year later. Played this multiple times throughout the year, so thought I would leave a comment.
my favorite OST so far, I have only finished the bachelors route
found this from barotrauma COR mod, gotta say, this goes hard asf
I mean his teeth are kinda long-ish.
Hands don't bend well!
My favorite one 💚
Strong Goldeneye vibes in this one
:)
:(
wasnt there a russian writer with surname Block or something?
Yep! A poet from the Silver age of Russian literature. And he lived at the time when the game supposedly takes place (1910-1920's)
Do you think you can upload the main combat theme that usually plays in the central area of the town (The Knots I believe)
I'm hoping that I got the right one for you: ua-cam.com/video/ARVOkAIaOWo/v-deo.html
