Oh wow! I remember singing this when I was in the LAMC. I think it's been over 25 years. They used about a third of the choir for this recording. I always liked it better with the full complement.
This music is glorious. And this recorded performance by the LA Master Chorale under the direction of the brilliant Paul Salamunovich is the consummate version of this heavenly work by the master composer Morten Lauridsen.
