Thanks for posting this video. I have the exact same bike as you have (also in liquid grey), so my compliments for your excellent taste ;-) By the end of June, I am planning to do a 10 day journey with also a fair amount of motorway miles. For that reason, I was looking around for a simple to install, discrete but effective windscreen. After seeing this video, I also ordered the Puig windscreen (in the light shade version, which should be a touch brighter compared to yours). Good to read that you still have the Monster. I saw one of your other videos “Last ride”, so I thought that you sold it.... Again, thanks for sharing and please keep those 1200S videos coming! Greetings from the Netherlands!
Ha ha great minds think alike my friend. Yeah the screens certainly far from a touring screen but I’m more than happy with it for what I need. It just takes brunt of the wind off the chest on those windy days or longer miles plus it looks not too bad for a screen on a naked bike. I really like the fact that it’s so easy to put on and take off as well. Always handy if you only need it on for short periods. Would love to hear how your trip goes. Would be great to hear how you and the bike manage. I certainly want to get away and do some big trips. So I’m happy to take any tips that you can offer ha. I’m glad the video helped and I certainly do plan on getting more videos done in the near future. Thanks you for watching, really appreciate it. Stay safe and enjoy your trip 🤙🏼😄
I bought one from Alibaba very high quality exactly the same brackets and bolts, same screen. This one is £80 the Alibaba one is £21.50 delivered. It's brilliant
Thanks for a good review. I am in the same boat, I don't want it on the bike because I don't like the look but wind can be a bit too much sometimes and plus I started putting my phone on the mount so it would be nice to protect it from bugs and rocks.
Yeah that’s exactly why I got this one. Super easy to put and and take off. So for the most part I don’t have it on but recently out it on for going away a trip. Like you said just enough to break the wind but protect my phone or anything on the front. Thanks for watching and safe riding 🤙🏼
Hello thanks for the good review. What finish did you buy? Looks like a dark smoke one? I am doubting the dark smoke amd black one, but the black one seems too dark. You cannot see trough no more... thanks in advance keep up the good work 👍👍
Hey Nicolas. It was the Dark smoke one that I put on the bike. I was the same i still wanted to be able to see through it but wanted it to be dark the blend in with the rest of the bike. Thank you for watching. Really appreciate it 😄🤙🏼
I have a Ducati Monster 821 (Red) and I'm hesitating to install this windscreen (Smoke: 7013H) or Puig Carenabris Bat (8088H). My height is 1,77cm, how tall are you? On long ride at highway speeds... Have you noticed an improvement in the wind? Are the routes more comfortable?
I’m 1,80cm and I find it does make a decent difference. I used it on a long journey today and it certainly takes a lot of wind away from the torso and shoulders. Now it’s not a full touring screen so you do still get the wind on the helmet but definitely round the chest it makes a good difference. I will always put it on the bike for longer journeys. I hope that helps and Thank you for watching the vid 🤙🏼
@@motorcycleMoff Thank you very much for the reply! I found a copy of the Puig on AliExpress.. I'm going to test how it looks installed on the bike 😁 es.aliexpress.com/item/4000233005093.html
Hello there, been looking at this bike, are they reliable. As I can't decide between a z900 , Mt 09, or the monster( I think the monster is a keeper) but running cost is the worry.
I can’t say I have found the running cost to be anything to worry about. I’ve had the bike for over 3 years now and it’s been perfectly manageable for myself. I also tested the MT09 and personally think the monster 1200 S was the easy choice out of the two. That’s just my opinion though. Hope this helps my friend and Thank you for watching😄🤙🏼
Hey Rob. The screen does seem to push most the wind away from the torso. Weather or not it’s actually pushing air away for helmet I’m not 100% sure but I do find that I can sit quite comfortably at motorway speeds and I don’t really notice any lift. That’s me riding with an Arai XD/tour 4 with the peak on as well. Really hope that helps. Thank you for watching 🤙🏼 really appreciate it😁
I purchased it off of sportsbikeshop.com. There’s a link in the description to the one I bought for my monster if it’s that style your looking for😃 Thank you for watching the video😊 Really appreciate it🤙🏼
I’ve taken it on to faster roads and it’s done really well. It’s certainly not a ‘touring screen’ so won’t give you the same wind protection as that but for me what I use it for it works really well. I’m planning on going on a bike trip later this year and this is the screen I will be using. Hope that helps🤙🏼
Very good video, good installation explanation. The screen looks very nice. Ride safely!

Getting 1 delivered in 2 days, what is the name of the grey colour ducati use? Did you look at a colour coded screen? Cheers fella
Could this windscreen fit an 848 streetfighter ?
I really like the tinted windscreen, good video!
Yeah it’s doing it’s job pretty well😄Cheers mate 🤙🏼

Hi - Ive got an 821 and I'm getting helmet lift at motorway speed - do you think this would help?
