Hahahahahaha, dang grasshopper. 150 pairs, wow that's a bunch of cattle. I love that portable work station. Thanks for the video Cole. Hope Tiff is doing well

In the Red Ag interview, Brian talked about Cole coming home to operate the ranch. The world needs young farmers and ranchers. Thank you Cole for stepping up which is something I think about at the drive-thru window when ordering a burger. It's good knowing where and from whom our food comes from. With Aloha...
Sure makes one wonder about the physics of that. I've seen enough reports of how lightning works to still wonder how it happened that that poor calf ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time...
Sometimes it's not the strike itself, but the transient voltage traveling in the ground. Their feet are far-enough apart that there's enough milli-amps to stop the heart. Horses are also prone to ground voltage. That's how people standing under a tree die from lightning.
@@SirWhiteRabbit-gr5so Yep. Still, why that one calf when there were other animals assumedly standing on the same ground. There must be other details not available to us, like, was the group over near one of the shelter belts...
Brian and Cole, much respect, my wife and I watch all your videos, we are so impressed with how well you treat your animals, it show so much of the character and the tryp of people you and Cole are.
I really likexwatching your videos. They are not only educational , they are entertaining. A stroke is better then a fire !!!! Funny part is. , that's true
You know, I was watching this, and I said to myself, "Self, it's been a long time since I have seen a Sonne Farms would you rather segment". LOL Cheers Gents. You always know how to draw a crowd.
You guys do a real efficient job with your cattle with that corral system. My youngest son and I will be doing some cutting of hay tomorrow, unfortunately we haven't had the rain in the past two months to promote very much growth. But we have to do what we got to make it through the winter, so no real choice. Have good evening!
Good way to be making hay. Nice and tender. Love how the cows instinctively know where to go. Like us they know the herd instict and tender hay awaits for them.
That Airequip system seems pretty darn good. Your portable corral and the one you have set up at the barn seems great!! I have seen it in use elsewhere and still good reports all. In your thumbnail for this episode, the cattle seemed to be posing as well as you were. Looked all pro there. Great video man. Thanks again.
Isn’t it a sad truth on not being able to find 8 hard working and capable folks. Pretty much applies to everything😏. I’ve helped folks work cows when some start hollering and rubbing around and it becomes a rodeo real quick as cows get worked up. Always impressed on how well y’all work cows without all the chaos.
Cole ,I just finished another outstanding episode. Have you thought about wearing western outfits ? You have the Clint Eastwood look and Brian has without a doubt the body for Hoss Cartwright . No need for horses ,ha ha
Great video, nice weather, beautiful cattle, belly scratches, good hay, green pastures, green tractors and two wonderful men. God Bless your farm and families.
Brian! I’m always for hire if the food is good, the beer is cold and the company in which you are helping is of the highest quality! Stroop waffles would be a good bonus, just sayin.
I got a BB gun before I completed all of the lessons of the birds and the bees. (Parental educational programming mishap). Grandpa caught me plunking the bull's cobblers while he was servicing one of the cows. "Whoa, whoa, whoa lad! What are you doing?" he said. "The bull is hurting the cows." I answered. It was only a matter of minutes before my education was advanced. At 8 years old I could hardly grasp the concept but at the threat of losing my BB gun the bull was left to do his work with no more BB stings.
Have you ever considered offering a bucket of pellets so cows learn to associate treats with the portable coral? Food is a wonderful training reinforcement tool. Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings. Peace
They know when something is up vs merely feeding cubes. Plus they’re using portable pens which is some work to bring out for cube training. Cubes never work when you need them to.
I have seven children. One lives nearby and visits when we have something to give him or his family. The rest live further away, one as far as New Zealand. Having not seen two of them for several years I invited both to please come for a visit, one said they would do whatever the other one would and that one said they would be making a new baby. I never felt procreating was a travel ban.
I am totally fascinated by the fact that you can drive your cattle across an open pasture to a pen you just dragged in and set up. Your cows must be wonderfully trained. My cows would need to look at it for at least a couple of months before even half of them would go near it! I have pens with lots and a working area on each place and their water tanks are in there, and I feed them and put out hay there also. I still have the odd one that knows something is up when I call them in, but most come running when they hear the cake feeder running feed into a bucket. I enjoyed it, thanks.
Good job, guys! I've watched a couple of seasons of yellowstone. and within the first few minutes, i almost shut it off. it is deffinatly one of those examples of "its only a tv show". not you guys. This is straight-up reality tv. my whole family enjoys your adventures. keep up the good work. See you on the next one.
Man we, my brother and I were walking through a feed store and I picked up a cattle prod and he hit the button OMG I still remember it all. We laugh about it still 50 years later
Thanks for another great video Cole and Brian. It was interesting and enjoyable to watch. Busy time with treating your cows. You both are excellent herdsmen. Appreciate the fine care you give your cows and calf’s. It is no wonder why your cattle are so sought after by other farmers due to the excellent care you give them. Nice work herding those cattle. You did great. Busy time with haying and other farm jobs. Getting things done before the busy harvest season. Do understand. About it I guess. You both take care and be safe. Thanks for everything. Where seldom is heard.... A discouraging word..... but the Sonne Cattle is a happy herd!!

Actually, Brian, the Aeroquip with you and Cole are the best thing in the world with eight guys working somebody’s going to screw up😂❤
The thing is when you have eight that work together and one screws up someone else can step up to help

You almost need a couple more sections on the end of the portable corral system. Another 10 to 15 head would be a full pen

Wish they had a giant fly strip "lint roller" your cattle could run under before you poured them. Mylanta( Cole expression) that's a lot of flies!

Happy to see that beautiful Hereford herd marker.
Typical for a sooner to like Herefords. By the way? GO POKES! Class of 94. And a Texan.
A good Herford mix makes a good herd.
Thank you Sonne Farms!!!
You bet!
Ty Jesus for all the help here we love you and give u the glory ❤️❤️
A course their going ,they think the pasture is worn out, grass always greener on other side. We would turn into new pasture and they bawled.
It's always nice to see a couple of Herefords in the crowd!
Awesome with you and your daddy ❤
That portable set up looks to me like it works really well. You both work well together.
Thx
Enjoyed.
Don't usually question Brian, but I don't think 8guys could match what you guys just did, easily and safely!!
Having just the two of them keeps the herd calm… not as much pressure on them.
