1870 Baltimore Orphanage in Ruinous Decay -Home of the Friendless- (urbex)

Home of the Friendless is an orphanage constructed in 1870 composed of 7 stories including the attic and basement. It provided a home for orphaned and deserted children for 6 decades and is the last remaining structure from a 3 building complex that housed 100 to 200 children annually. By 1922 the Board of Managers and Trustees decided to sell the property. It has not served an official purpose since and has been passed from buyer to buyer. it currently resides as a historic structure in desperate need of intervention before it is lost to time and decay.
This video was filmed in the spring of 2020 and features a historic 1870 orphanage in urban Baltimore, Maryland with beautiful arching brick-work architecture on the façade and in the basement.
