I'd start this song while leaving my house for the bus to school my junior year, and listen to it as I walked down to the stop. My stop was the first one on the route so the bus came at 6:15am. Most of the time it was pitch dark, below freezing, and totally clear. This song always takes me back to those winter mornings alone, looking up at the stars.
This is a beautiful song. In my opinion, it's got a very deep meaning in there that i'm determined to understand. I love playing the game to this song. :P
Late to the party, but the band performing these songs is called Your Favorite Enemies, also known as YFE. I'm not sure if they're still active though, but I hope this helps.
Hello. In the context of Final Fantasy, and Dissidea, the song is about the looming feelings of dread in the midst of an unavoidable battle, but then overcoming that dread with hope. "Mothers kissing sons with a staff in hands" is a reference to the mothers saying good bye to their sons before they march into battle. "The spirit is over town, waiting for me to hit the floor" is the man feeling the pressure of the battle to come "Looming white sky for the voice of one calling tonight" is actually very poetic. It basically says that the call is so great that it cannot be ignored. But then they overcome that fear and stuff by remembering that they are the good guys, and they are fighting a righteous cause. That's why the tone and everything shifts dramatically when it's talking about the marching band. For historical reference, marching bands were used in old wars to rally the troops and raise morale on the battle field. So the marching band in the song is a reference to the spirits being lifted at the revelation of hope.

@@poisenberyI disagree it seems that for whatever reason the lyrics are based on the chaos notes/cosmos notes
@@poisenberythats beautiful
I think it's a back and fourth between a mother and son. I agree with most of the above analysis. But still it's like an argument even in song.
@@MisterLackLustreIs the same thing for me.
