Hey Joe you probably have answered this before but having had anaplasmosis once, Lyme three times, and a staph infection this July, I can say it’s entirely possible there may be a bacterial infection in that arm that presents itself in very weird ways… and my friend had something acting like lymphadema in his leg, and doxycycline and another abx (IV Bactrim, I think?) slowly but eventually cleared it up. Hang in there!!
