The most interesting parts under metal cover were missed in this video.
Yes, bunch of springs and plastic. I wonder how that plastic parts look.
It's a common failure point, small springs break and they disintegrate and large springs get weak. Updated LUK version is much better
Nice work brother.
super awesome video full view and liked my friend
Good sharing. NEW FAN HERE. #ClaudeGarage
Thank you for the effort and for showing it. I am doing some studies on DMF , it helped a lot understanding. Like + subbed! Thanks
great vidio ...like
So much work to disassemble.
Is it possible to send me the video of reassembling this flywheel
At least you saved the ring gear
DMFs are nothing but a cash-grab. It replaces a never-fail part, that was easily replaceable if not serviceable, with a flimsy, un-reliable, and very expensive part. The reason why manufacturers are using them is because they reliably fail early, at around 100k mi, costing $3000.00+ in parts and labour, motivating customers to just buy a new car. The transmissions paired with DMF are also fragile pieces of crap that will break in short time if the DMF is replaced with a single-mass flywheel. DMFs are a regression in every single way. DMFs are nothing but anti-consumer business practices.
I would agree with that, it's just 'design to fail technology' .. money making, my '96 Boxer still has it's original clutch.
Even less than that... failures at 50k are common. It's a big joke!
I'm convinced mine's on its way out but I can't understand why it'd only be noisy when the engine's hot (not cold), any thoughts?
Mines noisy when cold. When the vehicles hot sound dissappears. I guess the good news, as it appears in the video, is that there's no danger of the DMF splitting anytime soon. I can live with the ghastly noise until I'm good to have it replaced. Is your motor still running???
@@infinitewisdom4557 yeah, it runs good, thanks; hope it'll continue to do so for quite a while yet as I've invested a lot of time & effort into learning 'new' (to me) car tech having only bought it last year. Previous car was old enough to be pre-ECU, so lots of changes!
@@julianlangdon3456 😂 not the same as keeping horses is it...😂😂
Must be some kind of spring mech in the friction disc,However i too thought the spring mech would be in the actual flywheel body very strange construction
The actual springs are still covered in the Cavities.
the mice are angry .
Is generator right
Where are the springs?
it's gone. That its fault for this DMF.
Can a vehicle continue to be driven if the DMF is very noisy??? Tx
kasihan broken dmf
No spring that is sometging wrong
that is not repaired you never got to the DMM springs
That DMF it's not repaired. It's what i found when i get it off. And yes I know, that spring it's missing. Probarly that is reason for broken!

It is not repairable ..a complete set assembly to be change ..not good a dual mass flywheel ..to the car manufacturer stop using this dual mass flywheel it is a piece a badshit parts ....
Don't you talk?
