I love cars that are dropped and I seen a newer Malibu slammed with the 2024 RS stock rims and this car looks so sexy dropped. I know it’s not a sports car and super fast but for what it is it’s a good car. It looks sleek. It looks nice has a great body on it. It’s really comfortable on the inside. There’s lots of legroom for the passenger and the driver compared to a Honda, I’m not saying that they are better than Honda or Camry but there’s nothing wrong with the Malibu. I don’t know why people say things like that that they’re not cool I think because a lot of people are embarrassed to say that they’re American or it’s made in America. I don’t know what happened to people, but people would rather choose foreign cars, Japanese or Chinese cars Over American built that’s why we’re all messed up and I’m sure people will say Japanese makes better cars than American but they their cars and my opinion the Malibu is a nice looking car specially, when it’s dropped with some nice Rims on UA-cam some guys have some really nice looking Malibu’s but for people to put down another car just because they like another car that’s just stupid that’s just your opinion a lot of people don’t like Hondas they don’t look as good. I don’t think 9th generation looks nice.

I also rented one, drove it across 4 states. It was the best modern car I have driven in years. The comfort, layout of function controls smooth, not fast but it's a sedan. I think Chevy knocked it out of the park, I'm going shopping for the leather 2LT package now. I don't want an SUV! Why take the chance of rolling over in an SUV, cars are built for driving on the road, most SUV's don't even have 4x4 as a standard option.

I’ve driven the late model Camry and Corolla for weeks at a time. And now I am driving a 2022 Malibu rental which is essentially this same car. The Malibu is hands down the best of the three that I have driven. The smooth drive ability and effortless steering makes the car a joy to drive for long periods of time. Anyone can test drive a car for a few minutes. But try driving any one of these cars all day and I think you will agree. The Malibu is the biggest interior and by far the best car of the three.

I thought these were only available as fleet cars by now. I have a ‘23 Malibu RIGHT NOW as a rental car. It certainly drives nice enough, and has decent creature comforts (heated seats, wireless Apple CarPlay), but I can’t help but feel that it’s a bit dated. For example, my rental is an LT, but it still has halogen headlights. I rent a lot of cars, and I couldn’t tell you the last time I had one with halogen headlights. Thank you for another GM review Ben. It is interesting how cars have smaller engines and more power in 2023 as opposed to the past when engines were larger and had more power. Malibu is not a luxury car. It is a midsized American sedan. I am shocked by the features that it offers. It is quite competitive. The wood trim not so much. It is interesting the Malibu nameplate is still with us in 2023. That is a good thing. Every time I watch your videos, I think of the songs with the name Ben: Benny and The Jets by Elton John, Ben by Michael Jackson, Begging Benny from Fat Albert cartoon from the past. The Chevy Malibu is a pretty good car. My company rented me one for 70 days for contract work ( Sadly I was only out at the site for about 6 days and only worked 1 day before they canceled the contract and wasted my time but that's besides the point). Anyway, in the 6 days that I had the car, I'd have to say it's a pretty good vehicle. I traveled altogether 2,912 miles with the car, and mileage was awesome. At my lowest, I was getting 29.8, and at my highest, I was getting 40.7 mpg and only had to fuel up about 4 times. And that was going from Idaho to Iowa. Which from where I live in Idaho to my destination was about 1,456 miles one way. The fuel range at my lowest was 415 miles to empty to my highest of about 540 miles to empty. Now the one that was rented to me was an LT with cloth seats which for me at 6,4 236 lbs with long legs and long torso with a slighty bad back and bad right knee means I could only go about 500 miles before I had to stop for the night. However, since I was on a tight schedule so, my first day drive was 13 hours, so over 700 miles were traveled. Let me tell you my lower back right knee and right hip were hurting after that. So, this car with those seats, I would say 500 miles max after that, the seat support breakdown. And boy, does that 1.5 turbo have power. Even with the cvt transmission, it was still chripping the tires if you give too much throttle. My one big complaint of the vehicle besides the seats lacking support after 500 miles was the turbo chatter, which after 400 miles will give you ear fatigue cause it's so annoying. Now I don't know if it was just with that car since it is a rental of if turbo chatter is normal or if the rental I had was starting to develop issues with the turbo. Maybe I should test drive a different malibu to compare. Otherwise, it's definitely a pretty good car. Because of those two issues I would give the malibu a mid pack rating.

My wife had a 1999 and later a 2007 Malibu. They were good cars but nothing special. Having rented cars for work over the years, I’ve driven Camry’s, Accords and Sentras the Hondas and Nissans had nicer interiors (not the Toyota) but mechanically didn’t seem to have any advantage. They were all pretty vanilla cars. Recently, I rented a Malibu and drove it for about 4 days, including a trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon. I found the car to be comfortable, sufficiently fast and smooth driving. At one point, I looked down and realized I was doing 105MPH. It didn’t even feel like I was going that fast. Imo the 2nd gen cruze made a lot more sense then this malibu. Almost identical power but without a cvt, decently spacious, and has all the same features for a lower price, but they killed it off.
