Someone was telling me about this site today and I knew I could count on you to have visited this site. I missed this when you posted it way back when. I know someone who lives around there who has visited this cave often.
great video.....and kudos to you keeping it a secret.....I go to caves in my area....and I dont give locations....too many caves have been desecrated by vandals, morons, and knuckleheads, who dont know how to appreciate and respect wildlife!!!....great video...good job!!
+Hike with Mike Thanks Mike. It's a shame what has already happened to this place, so we decided not to give the location. We really edited the clips to give away nothing. Happy caving! :)
I understand where you are coming from, but I must refuse to allow the behavior of some vandals and weirdos to dictate how the rest of us treat this info. Thorndike pond, straight back.
@@michaelgrimes5588 hey i have hiked this mountain more than a few times and would love to know how to get here even a couple hints my friends all loved the mountain and i think it would be a nice deauthorize to see thank you
I grew up in Marlborough so I hiked Mt Monadnock countless times in my youth...even skied down the Half Way House Road/ Trail a few times. it was a lot of fun!!!
I was just there today. Thanks for your consideration regarding secrecy. I am always amazed that anyone finds this on their own but then,so did I. Saw your log entry... nice video up the mountain.
Wow, thanks so much for sharing and for not sharing! My girl and I have been up and down this mountain via every Trail!! I had no idea that this place even existed!! and I must have climbed it at least 15 times or more... this will be on our short list of things to do and we will find it! I'm sure if I did some searching around on Google I could find hints as to where it is but not going to do it! The one and only time that we hiked pumpelly from the trailhead to the top it was a very dreary day... pretty much zero visibility LOL we could barely see 20 feet in front of us but it was still perfect and amazing for what it was. We did do it again via Spellman, which is straight up! I suggest you try if you haven't already. Again thanks for sharing the video and for sharing that wonderful treasure! Peter Deslauriers
We have hiked this mountain twice so far. The first time we found the cave, the second time we found Eagle's Nest. The cave is very cool! Good luck. :)
Wow amazing you found it on your first try. It's been several years since I've been to it. Legend has it there is also a cave/ rock formation where a German spy hung out and signaled to U-boats off the coast during the war near there. I still have not found that cave but have not yet given up!!!
We found it the hard way, but we found it! LOL We heard about spy cave too. I take it you found Eagles Nest too? We're going to try looking for that one next time.
WeRmudfun Nope! Not sure why but my friends and I never knew about it. I only learned about it in more recent years. A guy I work with is going to show me hopefully this Spring/ Summer. Though after talking to him I have a pretty good idea where it is...

You are welcome and the secret stays safe with us. :)
is megalithia a generic term for ancient stone structures or is a certain location?

@@PanWilson I appreciate the backstory. Very neat. Maybe one day, I'll decide to look for it and maybe, it will still be there :)

Looks exciting guys. I wonder if I should try it. I think my last injury was my 3rd strike....hummm?
I'd hold off on this for a bit. Work yourself back up to it. There are much shorter routes to the top too. :)
