Mate, what a great loader. When I was younger I would just lift the boat on with a mate. Now I'm older I reckon your invention is perfect. Now, I'm getting another tinny and I am using yours for inspiration. Thanks
Absolutely brilliant job !! we have a landcruiser 76 and a open ended tradesman rack with rollers at end .. wonder if u can suggest how to jog this type up for us ? i don’t want to change rack as fairly new
Thanks! Pending on how much room you have between your rack and roof, you could just mount an ATV winch straight to the rack. The ATV winch I use is 110mm tall. Mount a central front roller to the rack, have the rope lead from the winch, around the front roller and along your rack to lift the boat! Good luck! 🎣🍺🌴🤟
Bloody brilliant mate, I'll be getting one made. Thinking aluminum for weight 👍 Could you please provide a link for the winch you bought off Ebay ? Cheers, Chris
Have you seen the Mozzi tinny roof top loader. It’s pricey but the concept is simple , you could build one and gets you in the water sooner without having to lift that heavy outboard.
Instead of rollers on the rails, do you think hdpe skids on a pivot would work? I would think over time and rough roads the rollers would create a stress point on the boat.
That was magic i did buy the rhino side loader second still coast me $900 plus the rhino cross bars so all up i was $1600 you should be making them out of ali and selling them.
Have you ever tried it with the boat still strapped into the trailer say for going away with a camper or caravan so you have the trailer to just hook onto the car and not having to use the rack to transport it around all the time .
Gday, I have a fold up dunbier boat trailer that I take with us! I have just lately lifted the trailer up on the rack with the tinny still attached (less the wheels), which made it quicker to get out fishing at the next spot!🎣🎣💪
Outstanding project, but the whole thing could’ve been edited down to four minutes. Most people will get bored before they ever see the finished project. Seriously consider reediting and republishing.
This is the best one boat roof rack idea I have ever seen.
