so the question still stand? Can you DJ wirelessly?
I WANT TO KNOW PLISSS
I think I’m getting it on my own solution because I came here for that. 🫠
There is a Bluetooth receptor with a 3,5 out, I think that’s how you can connect your ear/headpones to the DJ mixer.
But need to prove it and test the delay.
Just looking for wireless DJ headphones and I’d say no….
To DJ with these you need to connect a wire or your getting latency via Bluetooth which is no good for mixing as you would have to make the track clang in the headphone for it to be in on the sound system..
no due to latency 1 sec issue
How come he doesn't explain how to connect wirelessly on a DJ mixer? Isnt that whats the title of this video mean?
It’s kind of an ironic title as there is no way to connect it wirelessly to a mixer without buying a separate Bluetooth receiver dongle and it’s pointless doing that because the latency is way too high anyway
Loving the lighting in the room..
I've been wanting wireless dj headphones for years now
nice comprehensive review, thanks DS. i was hoping for pioneer to have cracked the bluetooth latency issues so we could use these in the booth, but alas not yet. not sure i'll go for these as i have other bluetooth options for when i'm out and about. given latency would have to drop below 10s of milliseconds to be of any use, i think we might be waiting for a while yet.
No problem! It's the problem with bluetooth technology, it's still nowhere near realtime to be used for DJing. These headphones are clearly not designed for that though, they really have 2 different uses and it makes sense really.
Wireless are just much better as we are moving into the future, as wired ones tend to have input distortion anyways.
best headphones ever
Great video. I found a pair of true wireless headphones we had before Bluetooth days. No latency. Do you know of anyone that makes these currently. I see lots of in ear monitors but just thought someone has to sell true “wireless” headphones.
I don't understand the video was supposed to be about Wireless Djaying what the fuck are you talking about
Great demo mate yeah very interested in a set of them I take headphone quality seriously, and I'm always on go with tunes on my phone and obviously the dogs balls for playing sets. Also great backing track you got going on, what a tune
since you mentioned you had HDJ-1000 , how is the HDJ-X5BT sounds compared to HDJ-1000? I'm not a DJ neither a producer but i'm peaky when it gets to listening to music and I love my HDJ-1000 and i'm thinking to get the HDJ-X5BT
The latest models of Pioneer headphones (X5, X10) are definitely clearer than the last (HDJ-1000s) but still have that bassy sound. I don't have my 1000s any more so couldn't do a straight comparison but from memory I'd say the quality has definitely improved.
So the answer is no. No they aren't good for DJing. Is there any audio processing going on if you have the audio coming through the cable? Is there any latency if the cable is being used with analogue mixers?
You raised a good point. I knew before watching this review that these headphones are using Bluetooth ver 4.2 which is significantly behind now we are on 5.2 onwards. This is significant as the more recent Bluetooth versions are able to carry more clarity in the music. It essentially rules out this pair of headphones compared to similar priced competitors have the more recent Bluetooth versions. Shame because I'm sure the sound signaton these is very good
Hi. Is that over ear headphones?
Have a questions. There is another bt headphones by pioneer hdj x5bt-n. For 219. The one that you have what is the difference. Thanks in advance
You mean bluetooth transmitter
I think the problem is not the headphone but the computer bluetooth codec. Maybe your computer doesn’t have bluetooth 5 or bluetooth codex: qualcomm aptX.. if you don’t have it try a bluetooth transmitter/ receiver with Bluetooth 5 and codec AptX. Try it and let me know if it work.
i got the pioneer SE wireless headphones and they are off from the original music when i dj
Most wireless headphones will be, there is always going to be an amount of latency (time for audio to get from source to your ear). Bluetooth headphones really arnt suited to DJing because of this, the delay can be up to 2 seconds.
wallace = wireless
understood
How is using this headphone with your phone relevant while explaing DJ-ing with this headphone?
It's not, but then in Bluetooth mode these headphones are really designed for DJing because of the latency. I think the main idea of these headphones is to be using the bluetooth functionality when preparing your sets on your laptop or listening to music on the go and then when at the club connected the lead so you can DJ latency free with them (i.e. not bluetooth).
this are much better than the hd cue1 bt ?? i dont know which one
Not tried the Cue1 so couldn’t say!
Pros: durable, esthetic, not bad bassy sound by wire, long battery life, good isolation, good mic.
Cons: painfully uncomfortable to wear more then 10 min, cheap and unfixable Bluetooth/Amp module that will fail in time for sure, much worse wireless sound quality, poor controls, micro usb port in 2020s, and yes - there is tangible latency.
Well technically it’s not a wireless DJ headphones
Bro this title is terrible, talk about all this how good it would be to dj with no cable, then you dont mention anything regarding actually djing with it,
What the F? You tested connectivity with your phone, computer and DAW but you didn’t answer the question in your thumbnail AND the title…?!
I know you’d need a Transmitter, but if you ask a question, you should answer it in the video… otherwise you’re just waisting everyones time
So we can't use these to use for djing wirelessly? Rubbish
You can use them for DJing... with the cord lol
