- FC 25 isn't even out yet and it's annoying me.. last week the trailer dropped for EA's next football focussed game, and i can't lie lads it was bad. it was boring. the new features for the game look tired. and it's all because there's no competition. this is how EA killed FIFA.

The only point I don't agree with is that nowadays fifa videos are made for younger audience. The biggest channels around 2017, which for a lot of people was the golden age of fifa, all made videos about forfeits or challenges and fake pack openings like W2S. They were clearly made for kids (like me at the time) with screaming and breaking stuff. And now we have good channels like Danny Aarons, Futcrunch and others whose target audience is also the same age. We're just getting old and most likely blinded by nostalgia and there is nothing wrong with that 😅

The game hasn't added anything new gameplay wise since 2017, I'm still wondering when are they gonna improve PRO-CLUBS which is probably the game mode with most potential across them all.
It's really sad to wait for a whole year for a new FIFA just to see EA devs talking about "hypermotion and how your shirt moves while running". F OFF, stop with this realism BS and just give me a fun game to play.

FIFA was dead from the second they realised they could just make the same game again, make false promises and only improve the graphics and make millions for about a week’s worth of work. And they’ve kept doing it because everyone who cares doesn’t really play the game anymore and those who do are too young to realise what FIFA used to be and think FIFA was always like this.

I remember as a teen, when I was in high school, one year almost all the boys in my classroom agreed to skip class and play FIFA all day when it was released. And I mean all types of guys: jocks, weed smokers, musicians, surfers, emos, nerds (like me)... That's how powerful FIFA was, it united everyone.

I'm gonna look at it from another angle, The fanbase have killed fifa. They just go with the punches that EA lands on them constantly. 2k and NHL also, just sports games in general, As much as the company is to blame, I would definelty put it more on the stupid gambling adicted fanbase that are just ok with it. And don't get me started on the youtubers that push the "Open pack" videos, then on another video, they bitch about the game while suiting up to buy the next one

There should be a cut scene at the start of a game where a interviewer asks a fan how it's going to go and you can talk through your microphone so the person you're playing online can hear you taking the piss and getting a chance to respond would be a great feature.
EAFC completely lost the plot as soon as "they " as the organisation/company cared about sales/money in their pockets you sausages and not the perfection of the game/gameplay experience and excitement of the true DNA of FOOTBALL.

@@komm_king As someone who ONLY plays career mode when I play FC, I'd leave immediately. There's no depth in the modes. Your players get mad at you for no reason. You can be fired for no good reason. It's too "accessible" but yet, you can't choose "unsackable" for a created club. 2nd teams or youth teams aren't in the game, and development is an afterthought and Rush now boosts potential? It's just not good enough

Last year I'd play a tonne of Carrere mode, but was held back a little because sometimes I wanted to do a goalkeeper Carrere mode, but there was a bug in the camera where it would just look down at the ground and you couldn't see anything. This year, my career was horrible I have played probably altogether 15 minutes of it because of the personalities making it impossible to make the player you want to be. All I want is to be able to sit down and chille playing career mode sometime, but can't do that, also, the camera bug is still not fixed after 2 years.
This game suffers horribly from the fact they only change the game for the FIFA pros, and not for the casual players. If the pros want something changed it's changed within the next update, even if its something the general playerbase liked, they'll still change it for the pros. And when the casual players wants something changed, we're lucky if they change it within 3-5 years.

But fifa 23 i got bored before i got to the premier league and FC24 i didnt even get out of league 2 before i lost interest

One thing I hate the most: is that I've been sportsim fan since 97. And now I don't have any game to play and enjoy mechanics, process and sport. Everything is very arcade, speed-up, 8-0 scores (or 24-7 in case of Madden). That's sucks not being able to play something decent
The fact that they still haven’t changed the lighting while playing an evening game where it transitions from sunset to dark speaks volumes of how much EA cares about the smaller details
How about they fix simple things like if you sim games in career mode the board disapproves and you’re terminated while still accomplishing all your goals

as someone who plays both fifa and nba 2k regularly i dont think fifa players realise just how good they are getting it. infact a lot of nba 2k players are literally begging EA to bring back nba live. if you think micro transactions are bad in fifa then dont ever play 2k bc you wont be able to handle it. also, as someone who does love the older games, i can say without a doubt that career mode is so much better now. going back to fifa 17 career mode is impossible for me since i got used to the current career mode which has so much more features, in both player and manager mode. might just be me tho 🤷♂️

EA Soccer games feel like Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games. It was such a great title, but the license ended and now the game is gone. An epic game I grew up with now diminished to a once forgotten era

The only way they’ll change the game is if people refuse to buy it and cause enough drops in sale and effect EA stock price to lose millions which will also effect their shareholders, just like with Battle Front two when everyone stood together because they put everything behind the loot boxes and ya could spend hundreds of pounds and still only end up with basic upgrades to ya character, weapons, etc, etc.
Fifa had needed 3 things for as long as I have played it.
1) Contract RENEGOTIATIONS!!!
2) NEW COMMENTRY LINES: Or even different commentators.
3) Stadium revenue ACTUALLY being a thing!!

I make my own rules and spreadsheet for career mode for example I can sign 1 FA or free transfer a season, I need to keep wage growth at 7%, I can only sign players who are +/- 5 ovr for the avg of the club, etc. That way is really fun
Seasons does it for me. Picking a licensed team and playing online with it for free is good. Seasons don’t sleep on seasons.
I don't understand how they managed to fuck up VOLTA. The PS2 FIFA Streets were amazing, even the PS3 FIFA Street was very cool.

I think sales numbers only went up when they started putting it on sale like a month after release bc nobody was buying it. I bought FC24 for $5 near the beginning of the year and it was still too much money imo. There is no way I’m spending a single bit of currency on this new game. If EA are really adding a fucking battle pass then it’s time for this franchise to go free to play.
