    It looks like the handle bars are straighter then on the S1000R, which means a more hunched over riding position.

    • @newbieriderreviews
      @newbieriderreviews  Рік тому

      Yes they are flatter and give a more aggressive position. but is not much different at all really.

      @TheNiceBiker The Tuono is far more aggressive a position with the rearsets being the same position as the RSV4. The M1000R is more relaxed in that respect.

      @@abcdefghijk5095 that’s exactly what I did lol. I went with noring risers from Europe and they blend in with the rest of the bike. You won’t notice them, unless you are very familiar with the single R.

      Was having the same debate and I’m still torn but opted for the M1KRM. Lots of factors. I test rode a V4S and S1KR (dealer wouldn’t let me ride the spec’d up versions) and had my heart set in the Ducati going in but came away with a different take. While the Ducati is better looking and the ride is bonkers, the BMW checks more boxes. I don’t love the looks as much, but I’ll love saving $10k (and likely more down the road on service - my other Ducs have been money pits). I strongly urge you to go ride them both first.

    • @MikeB-gg1ns
      @MikeB-gg1ns Рік тому +3

      Ok, thanks for replying)) actually I rode Ducati quite hard couple of days last year. What can I say, it’s a good bike but needs empty roads to show all power, it starts after 9000 revs. In the city traffic it feels nervous and choppy.
      I don’t use leather clothes so the heat was highly sensitive and uncomfortable. I also noted it’s a bit small but after half an hour was okay. Termignoni exhaust is very loud and feels like you in the Hell all the time.
      The biggest pro is the brand name Ducati 👍👍 😎😎 I didn’t ride a new M1000R yet but what I know it must be faster and lighter than Ducati plus a lot more city friendly without toasting ass and legs in the heavy traffic. My 2 cents 😁😁😁

    I put a two teeth larger sprocket at the rear and a one tooth sprocket at the front of my older 2016 S1000r and then took one of these for a ride and found not to much differance it torque and power. Try it on your S1000r you will be suprised.Carbon wheels are an over expensive overkill.

      The one tested is 25k!!! Gulp...
      For the money, the S1000R is a better road bike, in my opinion. Never have I rode mine and thought it underperformed or lacked power. Its a full 10k more expensive for 45 bhp more. Some carbon.
      But I get your point. Do we need 200 mph super cars when a normal car does everything needed. But people still purchase them.
      Great video, and it's a mint bike.

      @brand new biker Agreed, my S1K is more than enough these have some nice upgrades though not just more power but more than just that, they have better brakes, better suspension, more electronic features such as slide control and more programmable modes for custom setups which are all nice upgrades. Don't get me wrong if I was going to go for one it wouldn't be the competition pack it'd be the base one then move all my carbon over from the S to the M

      @@Baz1000r fair points, but some people track them etc, 45 bhp extra on a bike is a huge difference though, I’d take either but agree £25k is just too much.

      Finally someone riding the thing but seriously wish it had break in so we’d see what it’s really capable of and also retuned with decat to uncork it. From what I’m reading that’s a game changer on the bottom end where stock pretty much limits but to be not much different than the S1000R. As others said, this is a passion play, none of us probably need those extra ponies, but I ride with a group of hooligans on V4S’s so it’ll be nice to match a bit

    Would you take the M1000R Comp over the 2023 Streetfighter V4S? So similar in spec, tech and price. I love the V4 engine, single sided swing arm and some other bits of the Ducati. However this has so many upgraded extra with all the carbon for the same price as a new Streetfighter.
    I've sat on the V4S and an S1000R (didn't have the M in stock), however I cannot test ride them, my left leg doesn't work very well and my bikes require an electronic shift controller.

    • @newbieriderreviews
      @newbieriderreviews  Рік тому +1

      Very comparable bikes for sure! The BMW is much smoother and refined where as the Ducati is more aggressive and "raw". With them both being designed for street use (literally in the Ducati's name) it's a shame the Duc doesn't have more mod cons like cruise control and heated grips etc. I'd go for the BMW myself as there's also the Ducati tax on aftermarket parts that's a bit ridiculous 😅

      Hi, It's difficult to say to be fair bud, the lighter wheels will definitely make a difference in the turn in and the wings are more to reduce front end lift at higher speeds.
