They’re not monitoring GP’s snap count, he dropped a huge 3 down 6 being too casual, which killed a good drive and Tomlin benched him for it. I love GP but if you’re supposed to that guy you need to act like it. He fumbled at the 5 yard line in the previous came being too casual with the football as well. We can very easily be 5-0…4-1. Non of these issues is on JF

nobody dislikes fields , what people are tired of is the endless hate for russ
Then chant Arthur Smith tf out of _town_ already! He won't allow Fields to throw beyond 8 yards & he tells the Entire Team this. Then he turns to GP & says _"You ONLY RUN ROUTES* that go for 15 yards are more."_ & people wonder why Pickens is getting worse?
That INT Fields threw to the Chargers was a Smith play: "throw a slant with anticipation,. Don't even look, just throw." But people don't learn from Their Mistakes. Smith has a Preconceived Notion. One that thinks "Fields has a lot of TOs. TOs come from throwing the ball long.
Ergo I won't allow him to throw down the field."
Every time Fields doesn't throw an INT Smith thinks "My System is working." If Fields _does_ throw one, even on a short route, Smith just tightens the restrictions. You may have noticed that despite them being erased by penalties that Fields had a few great passes to Pickens deep.
Then he threw the short INT against the Chargers.
& we haven't seen Fields throw for 15 yards since. _That_ is an Arthur Smith problem. I'm honestly hoping they trade Fields _AND_ Pickens for Adams & whoever. Smith won't allow Fields to throw to Adams down the field either. It has Nothing Whatever to do with Pickens.
He not a starting QB, he no better than Trubisky. He's a career back if that.

At this point, I think you already know you're going to a deal with Fields this offseason (whether it be starter or back up, the partnership is there). So start Russ and see what he gives you this week and I do think Fields is genuinely ok with that knowing he has a future here IMO. Even if he gets a better shot somewhere else, he knows he'll still have a chance here 2025.

Its amazing GP is so babied by the Steelers. He isn't even a true #1 yet. If anything, he is a solid #2. I do hope the Steelers aren't foolish enough to extend GP. If they cant trade him this year then they should ket him go. This team isnt SB worthy and barely are average. Draft a real #1 wr.

Well that's not his natural side to be on. His experience is on the LG. He did well last season on that side. That's the simple minded lineman coachs where they should've had a plan on finding a good RG lineman, so Broderick could've played his normal side smh.
Coach Tomlin and the coaching staff have worked to adjust the rest of the offense to Justin's skill set and knowledge of the game as they do with.all starting QBs. The difference is the coaching staff can not adjust to what thexQB does not have when playing high level NFL playing teams like the Cowboys, Ravens, Chiefs, Bills, Vikings, Seahawks, 49ers, Bengals, etc. The coaching staff can not transform a backup QB into an Elite NFL starting QB. Either you have it, or you don't have the skillset and leadership ability to win championship games and Super Bowl games. Sooner or later a QB's skillset level will be exposed no matter how fans and podcasters try to keep it hidden, because they simply do not like Russell Wilson! It's sad but it is the simple truth!

Everybody seems focused on the QB and the offense, but the bulk of this salary cap is invested in the defense and they have been bad for 2 games.....Cam Heyward and his crew need to play better.

The defenses are already in too high safety because of JF deep ball. The O line is full of back ups and can’t block so the running game is struggling because the O line can’t make holes for the RB’s. And JF don’t have enough time to throw a deep ball because the linebackers are in his face constantly. His ability to run helps, Russ would have a harder time in my opinion because he’s a lot less mobile
