      Matthew Compton The rear definitely takes more work. It’s not hard, just takes some time. Personally, I loved doing these projects and found doing the projects my self to be very rewarding

      @@jfoutdoors4337 totally agree! It's so much fun every time you make progress. I found the front to take more time because of all the angles to weld at

    I just bought 3rd Gen high clearance front and rear bumper kits for my 99 runner (still in boxes) off Facebook marketplace.
    Everything was there except for the instruction manual print out lol
    I’ve tried to reach out to coastal off road a few times but they haven’t answered me…

    Sweet, I'm your 1000th subscriber. Have a 97 that I put a Shrockworks front bumper, full skid plates, and sliders on, been eyeballing this Coastal rear bumper. Looks great! Any idea if the stock spare would still fit up under the back with this bumper? Would love to do the aluminum version, but aside from not being as comfortable with the aluminum welding process, the extra cost is pretty steep. Kinda of think steel is a better choice for towing work as well. An extra 48 lbs over stock isn't too bad (especially considering all the other steel I've already added).

    Did you ever end up comparing the weight between your new bumper and the old bumper + tow package? Based off my research I’m assuming you only gained about 50-60 pounds in the rear

    • @jfoutdoors4337
      @jfoutdoors4337  5 років тому

      Craig Trask kinda! I weighed the factory bumper and tow hitch. Total weight for all that was 72lbs. I didn’t weigh the Coastal bumper but they claim 120lbs and I trust what they are saying. So, I think your research is spot on !!!
