Wow, this really opened my eyes to a problem of transitioning to not be so blocked in. I dont think i will ever be that fast but i am already doing better than i ever expected because of you. Thank you again.
@@GregsBassShed this is what i absolutely love about this whole process. It is almost like a video game. You drive yourself crazy trying to defeat the boss at the end of a level and no matter what you do you cant pass it. Then you see or hear something after you put your "time" in something unlocks in your mind that opens new doors and it never ends. As soon as i saw the inversion you used it just clicked. Now i have to wait til after today to get to practice it all and i cant wait lol. The bass guitar is definitely an instrument for people who love puzzles. Thank you again for everything you do Greg. You really go above and beyond and provide so much information in a personal way.
That was an excellent lesson, Greg! It has given me some great stuff to shed on. Also, I'd like to compliment you on your new Bass Masters membership. I am thoroughly enjoying the monthly challenges and the incredible supportive community that is growing there. I can absolutely see how this is going to push my playing forward. Thanks for all that you do for the bass community.
Hi, for me the five shapes are 5 shapes in one position, with 2 notes per strings, and putting the five shapes together makes it easy to play on all the fretboard. The shapes are the same for minor or major, major is just 3 frets higher .
Yeah you’re right, the five shapes are the same for major and minor but I’ll probably still make a video on the minor pentatonic as it’s useful to know why the shapes are the same and the principals behind how you get the shapes. But once you understand that, working out systems like you have are very useful.
Sir Greg this is Eddie, I'm on my desktop and anyway you can assist getting me the blues course would be very helpful. Thank you sir! Sorry for the typo.
@@eddiemcknight1206 no problem. Did you get my email reply and your password reset email? It’s easier to sort this out by email. I’ll send another password reset email to you. If you are still having problems then email me and we can set up a Zoom call and I can see what’s going on. We’ll get it sorted! Greg
This is filling in some of the blanks I had from our lesson. Thanks for putting this together. Are the major and minor lessons going to be in the Studio section of your new platform?
Here’s a link to the lesson PDF: www.gbshed.com/five-pentatonic-shapes

It doesn't have to be fast but great that you've seen how the extended scale can give you access to the whole fretboard. 🤟
