I got an 08 Sedan with HR motor and AWD fully loaded. Paid 14K cash. The DE and HR are night and day difference. I will admit the G35 coupe looks stylish and timeless.
The bumpers and headlights make the G35 look more masculine. They really don't look much different from a distance but the rounder bumpers on the G35 I think give it a meaner look.
i got the 35 because it wasnt as expensive as the 37 and was only about 30 or so horsepower in difference. never regretted it and actually love it more than the 37 in that the tail lights are better and it just has this street look while the 37 is alot more luxury. VQ❤

When you mentioned the connection between you and the car, thar hits the spot. When I test drove my G35, I felt that connection. The engine and transmission combination is flawless. Shifting is just smooth and, yes, the styling is sexier.
Can understand where you're coming from, I've got a 2004 G35 coupe and a '08 G37 coupe and I find myself driving my G35 alot more. In my opinion they're both great vehicles and so much fun to drive. Enjoyed your video!
I recently got a G37s 6mt due to the updated look and features. I don't care for the weight it carries but when you get on the throttle, 330 hp 3.7 VQ motor makes you forget about the weight. Stock exhaust rumbles between shifts and piston rings don't fry as easy.
I have so much fun with my 2006 G35. Yes.. the engine goes thru oil! I even got mine replaced back in the day when it was under warranty. Replacement soon after developed same issue. I'm at 180,000 miles and still running strong! .. Though, I have to add 1 quart of oil every 500 miles!! I agree, the car is reliable.
I own a g37 so my opinion would obv be bias. however in terms of looks they both appeal to different markets. g35 is built a lil more sporty but the g37 is for power/luxury. I own a g37xs love it's all wheel drive system. and space. oh yeah and the stock 330hp. both cars are great
My 2006 G35 SC will outperform ANY G37. The G37 does have a few more useless gadgets, & may be a bit more comfortable(?). I'll take mine every day instead, thanks.

we have the same story. I owned a 2003 automatic. Totalled it 1 year before it was paid off. Had a choice between the g37 and another g35, and chose the g35 6mt 2007 model over the g37. The g37 looks like a womans luxury car, or a more mature persons car which Imdont car for. The ONLY g37 that I personally like is the IPL model, but thats way overpriced. Your right about the g37 engine though. It is a fine piece of engineering. Wish it could be swapped into a g35.

i love everything about the 37 except the rear end. the 35s rear end looks amazing and the only thing i prefer but its really hard to choose either way
respect your opinion as an owner of 2011 you cant compare its just far superior in quality amd motor especially especially since i put headers hks hi power exhaust and a vortech supercharger. ever since installing more upgrades the car just exceeds my expectations trad3 in your car brother gas is an issue as far as g37 goes but they are far more reliable and better looking and overall give you the best i got mine at 15800 out the door only 60,000 miles im about too hit just an awesome car with also great ratings and fair resale value depending on how you handle it and treated it
I've always been a bike guy. I bought a CBR 1000 and fixed it up to Mint. Traded it straight up for a G35 2006 with 100000 miles. The guy who sold it to me called me back multiple days in a row to try to get it back. There was nothing wrong with the bike, and lots of things wrong with the car. I decided to keep the car. I put about $1,000 and 1000 hours of work into it. I'll never sell it. When the motor goes it's getting a new one. I plan on making it a show car. I absolutely love it. My brother was upset because hes always wanted one but never had the patients to find one. Lol, hes jealous, like really jelly😄

If it's in budget, G37 is hands down the superior car. 😁 Coming from a two time G37 owner. Even though, you like the look of the G35 that's fine. I just don't see it. I've never heard a person say that the G35 looked better than the G37. I respect your opinion though. Good vid👍

gang gang 2005 g35. the 35 feels better inside than the 37 more room, more body for street presence. 37 center console is better. All id really say about it in the end is both engines are getting changed for a v8. 35 over 350, 37. 370 over all.
I bought my 04 G35 with 95k miles on it for $10k and I freaking love the car I just had to replace the bad camshaft sensors (which the dealer did for free)
G37 interior feels more like feminine while the G35 was ahead of it's time... in my humble opinion. I totally agree, I would take the G35 over the 37 for the same reasons. More bang for your buck, better rear end, better interior. Very unique car that I don't see very often, and every time i do I'm like DAMN, that's a nice whip.
I have an 05 G35 and an 09 G37 and I find myself driving my G35 more often then the G37... I love the minimalistic, simplicity of the G35s interior over the more luxurious G37. Yes the G37 has more power but my G35 is just fast enough to be fun to drive to work everyday and it's always been reliable and never given me any problems.. I usually drive my G37 on weekends when I wanna feel a little more luxurious cuz it feels like I'm driving a Lexus 😎
Catch can Fixes the oil consumption issue. It's being burned up in cylinder 6. Take off your spark plugs and check it out. They'll be oil on the spark plug housing. I was ready to change the head gasket. If you're reading this don't freak out. That oil in the engine spark plug housing is normal (for this car amyways) look up g35 oil catch can on the tube. You'll see. Peace
I have an 04, went a long time without what most would consider something nice to drive, Im new to imports, Im in Autobody, I know imports are nice, have for a long time. what does mine mean to me? being successful again, having a nice car, I know she has some quirks but to me just goes with anything, I got interested in the look and after reading I learned its a Z car cousin, I thought how can that not be a fun car? I look at this car and think how did whoever designed her not love what they were going to make? She has her own look and to me people will be restoring these down the road. How can you not? I love mine and will have her for a long time.

i bought my g37 because i love the head lights, motor and the interior is pretty alright. The tail lights are kinda ugg and i wish they had a better design. the sound is amazing and lotta parts for the 370z can just bolt right up. only thing i dont like tooo much about it, its heavy af. nearly 2 tons for my x coupe.

i think both cars are beautiful and u can't go wrong with both as they appeal to a broad spec of people. imo I'd want all black g37xs with gold 5 pt vossen rims, id choose over an acura tl with look good on em too. but i just found out about the q50-thinking if i should wait for the price drop on a used i one. overall the g infinitis been attracting me but that 50 looks sick too.
Just sold mine the de is a piece of shit I'll never buy one again. G37 is superior in every aspect from being more comfortable, faster and more reliable. Plus not having to check your oil level everyday is a plus
I agree wIth you 100% !! I own a 2005 6m sport package with of course the First rev up engine, black on black. This car's look is timeless, and I've owned Many cars including BMWs and one brand new corvette. This is by far the most enjoyable Car I have ever owned looks and performance. I brought it to infiniti to tweek up the paint Last year. As they were pulling up the car, the owner of the dealership as well as the body manager expressed that the coupe of those years 03-07 were the most beautiful vehicles, infiniti ever produced, In the sport categorie. I have 130 miles on it and it runs like a top. Mind you I do take care of It. And I will keep it for years to come. Lets admit when it first introduced, I couldn't keep my eyes off Of it. Especially when I saw it on the road. Even my son in law who is in his early 20s says, that is One sexy car. Like I said timeless.
With todays prices I was going to buy a 45,000 mile g35 coupe with the manual for 14,999$ from a dealer, they fleeced me after a verbal agreement for 13,250 and ended up selling it for above asking a year later and I have my 2015 g37 coupe 62,000 miles for only 13,000k before taxes and honestly even if I had to pay more It would still be the better car and buy in my mind. I love the g35s though
For reason #1, you could've went to an auction, or auctions and found a better deal with a G35 already tuned up. Or buy one for $1,700 and all it'll need is a bumper w/a new spark plug.
So, just to cut through all the stupid, ridiculous, and plain untrue comments here, I'll offer you my honest perspective as a current owner of a 2013 G37x Sedan, and former owner of a 2005 G35x Sedan. Whether it's a G35 or G37, BOTH are wonderful, reliable Sports Sedans with a ton of road & steering feel ( Unlike the numb, steering-by-wire garbage with the introduction of the of the Q50 ) Believe it or not, aside from the more modern interior of the G37 and slight increase in HP between the 3.5 & 3.7 VQ engines, I'm actually starting to like (specifically) the 2005 G35 the most. In my opinion, the body lines are more pure and clean, and the car has more personality and character in the interior design. It's also slightly smaller, and has a slightly more toss-able nature on the road, with an curiously better exhaust note than the G37. Again, either car is awesome, but that's my quick review and thoughts on the G35, 1st Generation. As a Postscript, the BOSE Audio System in the G37 is TERRIBLE !! There's zero Low-Bass and the Mid-Bass is all tubby and lumpy sounding. Very disappointing for a High-End Sedan that competes with BMW and AUDI. Take care :)
I've had both. 03 g35 6 spd. Just bought 2011 g37s. 6 spd. I'd take the 37 over the 35 any day. Looks nicer. Handles better engine is way better. That being said. I did love my 35. The 37 is just way nicer. My 2 cents. ..

Yep, REVUP oil consumption confirmed; I disagree about the bold on's... I have a MREV2 with a spacer, Stillen intake, aluminum driveshaft and a tune, let me tell you the car is a completely different machine. Sway bars, springs and shocks helped too though. But honestly forgetting bolt on's I would recommend an aluminum driveshaft and tune combo as the best noticeable change in drivability and power.
i have a g35. i like how it looks much more than its bloby superior. However the VHR is such an upgrade i think its worth not liking the appearance as much
I own both the G35 and G37 coupe. The G37 coupe is more luxury because it is newer and faster especially top end speed because of extra horsepower. But the G35 coupe is so much more Fun and Aggressive to drive because it response instantly when you step on the gas paddle even at low end speed. Don't believe me go and test drive the G37 coupe for an hour and then drive the G35 coupe and find out for yourself. They're both amazing cars and thats why I own both.
I read online that the G35 coupe has more aggressive gearing. And the G35 coupe was just raw with hydraulic steering systems which make it more Fun to drive 🙂
Agreed with the classic look that's why I bought my 6mt. I am really not a fan of how the g37's look whatsoever But however that's just my opinion not hate.
More power for the g37 but the galley gasket is a known issue. Very expensive repair. I have a 08 g35 and everything is perfect on it. Mileage is at 32k right now. But 3 issues. Cluster LEDs are burning out, climate control panels lights domt turn on anymore, and the interior (dashboard and cluster have a minor separation issue) so I have to put about $850 to have the dealer repair my cluster and replace my control panel. Yes I can save money buy going to smaller shops but I do not trust the shops in El Paso.

I originally like the 35 look more. It's more aggressive. Over time the 37 did grow on me so that's what I ended up getting. Both are great cars tho

The design of G35 is much better and looks more classic and timeless than G37, which lost a lot of character somehow due to softer lines.

I've always been a bike guy. I bought a CBR 1000 and fixed it up to Mint. Traded it straight up for a G35 2006 with 100000 miles. The guy who sold it to me called me back multiple days in a row to try to get it back. There was nothing wrong with the bike, and lots of things wrong with the car. I decided to keep the car. I put about $1,000 and 1000 hours of work into it. I'll never sell it. When the motor goes it's getting a new one. I plan on making it a show car. I absolutely love it. My brother was upset because hes always wanted one but never had the patients to find one. Lol, hes jealous, like really jelly😄
Wow, this dude spoke the truth. I agree on every point / reason he made his decision. And I too prefer the G35 Coupe over the G37 Coupe in looks - but do prefer the 3.7L engine over the 3.5L. 😎👍
If it's in budget, G37 is hands down the superior car. 😁 Coming from a two time G37 owner. Even though, you like the look of the G35 that's fine. I just don't see it. I've never heard a person say that the G35 looked better than the G37. I respect your opinion though. Good vid👍

gang gang 2005 g35. the 35 feels better inside than the 37 more room, more body for street presence. 37 center console is better. All id really say about it in the end is both engines are getting changed for a v8. 35 over 350, 37. 370 over all.
I bought my 04 G35 with 95k miles on it for $10k and I freaking love the car I just had to replace the bad camshaft sensors (which the dealer did for free)
Ricky ...dude! They replaced it for free!?! That's freaking awesome. Sensors are pretty cheap but still, free replacement is great.

G37 interior feels more like feminine while the G35 was ahead of it's time... in my humble opinion. I totally agree, I would take the G35 over the 37 for the same reasons. More bang for your buck, better rear end, better interior. Very unique car that I don't see very often, and every time i do I'm like DAMN, that's a nice whip.
I had the 04 also! Miss that thing so much...but now I have the G37s sedan which is just epic. Any G is a good G though :D
I have an 05 G35 and an 09 G37 and I find myself driving my G35 more often then the G37... I love the minimalistic, simplicity of the G35s interior over the more luxurious G37. Yes the G37 has more power but my G35 is just fast enough to be fun to drive to work everyday and it's always been reliable and never given me any problems.. I usually drive my G37 on weekends when I wanna feel a little more luxurious cuz it feels like I'm driving a Lexus 😎
Catch can Fixes the oil consumption issue. It's being burned up in cylinder 6. Take off your spark plugs and check it out. They'll be oil on the spark plug housing. I was ready to change the head gasket. If you're reading this don't freak out. That oil in the engine spark plug housing is normal (for this car amyways) look up g35 oil catch can on the tube. You'll see. Peace

I have an 04, went a long time without what most would consider something nice to drive, Im new to imports, Im in Autobody, I know imports are nice, have for a long time. what does mine mean to me? being successful again, having a nice car, I know she has some quirks but to me just goes with anything, I got interested in the look and after reading I learned its a Z car cousin, I thought how can that not be a fun car? I look at this car and think how did whoever designed her not love what they were going to make? She has her own look and to me people will be restoring these down the road. How can you not? I love mine and will have her for a long time.

i bought my g37 because i love the head lights, motor and the interior is pretty alright. The tail lights are kinda ugg and i wish they had a better design. the sound is amazing and lotta parts for the 370z can just bolt right up. only thing i dont like tooo much about it, its heavy af. nearly 2 tons for my x coupe.
Then Again the g35 is a lot more iconic then the 37 fact, fuck who ever says it was more expensive and that people are too broke, people gonna appreciate the g35 one day

Just sold mine the de is a piece of shit I'll never buy one again. G37 is superior in every aspect from being more comfortable, faster and more reliable. Plus not having to check your oil level everyday is a plus

With todays prices I was going to buy a 45,000 mile g35 coupe with the manual for 14,999$ from a dealer, they fleeced me after a verbal agreement for 13,250 and ended up selling it for above asking a year later and I have my 2015 g37 coupe 62,000 miles for only 13,000k before taxes and honestly even if I had to pay more It would still be the better car and buy in my mind. I love the g35s though
For reason #1, you could've went to an auction, or auctions and found a better deal with a G35 already tuned up. Or buy one for $1,700 and all it'll need is a bumper w/a new spark plug.
So, just to cut through all the stupid, ridiculous, and plain untrue comments here, I'll offer you my honest perspective as a current owner of a 2013 G37x Sedan, and former owner of a 2005 G35x Sedan. Whether it's a G35 or G37, BOTH are wonderful, reliable Sports Sedans with a ton of road & steering feel ( Unlike the numb, steering-by-wire garbage with the introduction of the of the Q50 ) Believe it or not, aside from the more modern interior of the G37 and slight increase in HP between the 3.5 & 3.7 VQ engines, I'm actually starting to like (specifically) the 2005 G35 the most. In my opinion, the body lines are more pure and clean, and the car has more personality and character in the interior design. It's also slightly smaller, and has a slightly more toss-able nature on the road, with an curiously better exhaust note than the G37. Again, either car is awesome, but that's my quick review and thoughts on the G35, 1st Generation. As a Postscript, the BOSE Audio System in the G37 is TERRIBLE !! There's zero Low-Bass and the Mid-Bass is all tubby and lumpy sounding. Very disappointing for a High-End Sedan that competes with BMW and AUDI. Take care :)
The g35 just simply has so much detail compared to the g37 when modified.
I've had both. 03 g35 6 spd. Just bought 2011 g37s. 6 spd. I'd take the 37 over the 35 any day. Looks nicer. Handles better engine is way better. That being said. I did love my 35. The 37 is just way nicer. My 2 cents. ..
The only thing I hate about g35 is the common issue with the damn window and door lock! I'm glad I went to g37.

Yep, REVUP oil consumption confirmed; I disagree about the bold on's... I have a MREV2 with a spacer, Stillen intake, aluminum driveshaft and a tune, let me tell you the car is a completely different machine. Sway bars, springs and shocks helped too though. But honestly forgetting bolt on's I would recommend an aluminum driveshaft and tune combo as the best noticeable change in drivability and power.

i have a g35. i like how it looks much more than its bloby superior. However the VHR is such an upgrade i think its worth not liking the appearance as much
I own both the G35 and G37 coupe. The G37 coupe is more luxury because it is newer and faster especially top end speed because of extra horsepower.
But the G35 coupe is so much more Fun and Aggressive to drive because it response instantly when you step on the gas paddle even at low end speed.
Don't believe me go and test drive the G37 coupe for an hour and then drive the G35 coupe and find out for yourself.
They're both amazing cars and thats why I own both.
I owned an "07" G-35..bought it in 2011 with 42k miles!!..so much fun!!..upgraded to a "08" G-37...and it wasn't the same experience. 😐
I read online that the G35 coupe has more aggressive gearing.
And the G35 coupe was just raw with hydraulic steering systems which make it more Fun to drive 🙂

More power for the g37 but the galley gasket is a known issue. Very expensive repair. I have a 08 g35 and everything is perfect on it. Mileage is at 32k right now. But 3 issues. Cluster LEDs are burning out, climate control panels lights domt turn on anymore, and the interior (dashboard and cluster have a minor separation issue) so I have to put about $850 to have the dealer repair my cluster and replace my control panel. Yes I can save money buy going to smaller shops but I do not trust the shops in El Paso.

I love my g 35 I was the same way. The look of the 37 three me off. My neighbor has a 37 and I have a 35 and the loo difference is so noticeable. The 37 looks too wide as well in my opinion.
The only reason I pick the g35 over the g37 is because of looks and sound. To me, the g35 have a louder and beefier sound than the g37
