Bought a high milage '09 G37x sedan from the dealership I am working at about a year and a half ago. Got a deal on it and it has been an absolute steal. Incredible bang for your buck with a G37. One of the best used cars on the market.
Coupe or Sedan, the G37S is one of the most reliable used sports cars you can get. I had a 335i for almost a year. From various oil leaks (each about $1200) to my water pump breaking on me while on the highway ($1500 for water pump, $250 for tow), that car was shit. I dont care how amazing the drive is, If the car is breaking on me often, its shit to me. The G37 Coupe I've gotten has given me zero troubles since I've got it. I went from having to spend over thousands in the 9 months I owned the 335i to spending $35 in the 7 months I've owned the G37 (nail in the tire, $35).
That's a great point! the BMW may offer a great driving experience but like you said, the maintenance can be a killer. The only money I have spent on my G in my 20k miles of ownership is maintenance (oil changes and brakes). It is such a sound car and is a great performer for the daily commute. Thanks for watching...stay tuned for coming updates to the G!
Almost the same experience. My last car was a 2008 c63. It was nice when I first got it, but it just had too many issues for how many miles were on it (about 5 years in, 60k miles and on). I just got myself a 2014 Q50 with 40k miles on it and I will never turn back lol. I sold the c63 and I plan on using some of that to do some work on the q50.
Yeah I owned a 2011 335i and I know what you mean the car broke every month it seemed like it, water pump, thermostat, coolant expansion tank, FRM module because half of the lights went out, head bolts Bmw had a recall on them I thin or some other kind of engine bolts all I remember my car had to be towed to Bmw dealership and was down for a whole month, coil went out so had to replace all 6 with 6 spark plugs, various oil leaks from valve cover gasket to turbo seals, rotors and break pads with sensors, AC compressor went out, replaced belts also, front shocks went out so replaced all 4 of them. Charge pipe broke also. And replaced two batteries had to be programmed for the ownership from 17.xxx miles to 102.xxx miles, I own a 2011 G37S sedan 6mt fully loaded with akebono breaks all I replaced is windshield wipers, front break pads, and regular oil change service.
One of the only reasons i wont get a bmw, Mercedes, or audi. When those break down they fuck you. At least infiniti, lexus, and acura you're able to work on yourself and are cheaper to maintain
I was 21 and single when I got my G35 sedan. I was going for a more VIP look initially and then as I learned more about these cars I discovered that the sedan is actually lighter and therefore faster than the coupe. The sedan is also more narrow making it more aerodynamic which is more fuel efficient and also would have less drag in a high speed race. It seats 5 vs 4 in the coupe and has more trunk space. It has the exact same motor and makes the same power so it was a no brainer to get the sedan. Yet for some reason the coupes got more love. Now I own a G37 coupe just to see what all the hype is about. There's so many impracticalities like the big ass doors that are hard to get out of when parking next to other vehicles or the small awkwardly shaped trunk. The only plus side I see is the aesthetics with the really nice body lines. I guess thats the selling point for most people, how it looks not what it does. I'm still a fan of the sedans though... 4 doors for more whores, coups are for chickens ;)
Michael P I was under the impression the G35 sedan was slightly heavier than the coupe but I could be wrong. However, the G37 coupe and sedan are virtually the same cars with the sedan offering more practical options. Most people prefer the coupe due to its exterior styling. Everything else is the exact same. The coupe suspension is SLIGHTLY stiffer but thats about it. I have my Z for my fun impractical car but I love all the features of my G sedan. Thanks for watching!
Keep It G lol no my comparison was v35 sedan vs v35 coupe v36 sedan vs v36 coupe I bought a v35 sedan initially instead of a coupe and when I went to upgrade to a v36 I opted for a v36 coupe rather than a sedan.
Michael P yea the v35 sedan isnt bad, although I personally wasnt too impressed by it. Glad I waited for the v36. The v36 coupe is very nice. Pretty much a 370 with some luxury.
I just bought a 2008 g35 sedan with 32k miles. It's a freaken nice ass car. I've always wanted a g35 since highschool. I'm 27 now and couldnt be more happy.
Nice! I had a G35 sedan. Had three booster seats in at one point for my girls. The interiors are incredibly durable and can stand up to a strawberry milkshake spill left there for months. I couldn't see it under the booster seat. Unless someone is going for looks I can't see the point of the coupe.
Makes perfect sense to get the sedan if you already have a 2 door Z. The backseats in the in the g37 coupe are only comfortable for someone that's about 5'7 or less and I don't really think anyone likes to climb over a seat to get out or not have a window. I'm happy to own the coupe but appreciate the sedan as well.
Awesome explanation .. exactly why I got mine.. to add to what you mentioned.. it's impossible to find any other Japanese manual RWD 300+hp sedans built over the last ten to fifteen years.. it's modern, fun and sadly the last of its kind.. it really is an exclusive club and surely going to hold its value going forward
I bought a sedan too. LOVE IT! 100% reliability and lots of fun! I prefer the way the coupe looks 100 times more. BUT- even though I'm single, I'm an old geezer, and I have friends who are 85 years+...they just CAN'T get in the back of a coupe! So, that's reason #1. Second reason is I bought my 2013 G37x in 2016, and it was much harder to find a good 2013 coupe at the same price / same options. There were TONS of sedans- and only a handful of coupes. But I have COUPE ENVY. I **LOVE** the way they look. As for performance - the coupe is actually a little HEAVIER! (3628 lb sedan 3719 coupe) Those big doors I guess. But the coupe has a lower roof line by 2 inches, so center of gravity is a smidge lower and so might handle just slightly better. Wheelbase at 112.2 inches is the same coupe or sedan. The reason to buy the coupe is the LOOKS.
I just bought a sedan as a daily so I wanted more doors. Raced a random coupe that pulled up to me my second day with the car. I pulled about a full car length on him, definitely worth getting a sedan.
From what I've gathered, the coupe is heavier due to added structural integrity in the rear pillars/back panels. The diff is about 100lbs heavier than the sedan.
Nice video man. thumbs up. I got a 09 g37s sedan. At one point I was willing to drive up to 700 miles to get one. I only wanted a manual too so that made it harder. I love the car, still can't get use to the clutch dou. I also hate that te Rev hangs but otherwise it's a charm. it's also too quiet too and exhaust for the sedan are so expensive. Snow wise I'll be getting some winter tires next winter tires.
Thanks buddy, I appreciate it! I love this car so much and the fact that its a 6mt gives it a unique factor. I have a Z too so I'm used to the clutch after 6 years....it is much different than most cars though. Check out my exhaust videos that I did on my G. A little muffler delete is cheap and brings it to life a bit. Thanks for watching!
Yes man. I saw it and liked it. My bro got a g35s auto with the muffler and it's too loud. I want to cruise and not have that drone noise. looking at the Manzo exhaust and maybe cats down the line. If I can get some used ones like you that would be awesome. Keep em vids coming.
Yea, I hear ya. It does have a bit of drone on the highway which is unfortunate but I have a short commute so I'm fine with it. Keep your eyes peeled, they're out there! Thanks for the support!
Totally agree. Great choice! I've owned both the sedan and the coupe... and they both drive identically. However, my wife was tired of needing to get out and adjust her seat forward to let other passengers in the back. I love the Gs!!! I've actually recently changed now to the FX37 :)
Never had a coupe but I love my sedan. I had a 2 door Civic Si back in the day and it was annoying having to get out and move the seat to let others in. The 2 extra doors make it really convenient. How do you like the FX37? If I got an SUV, that's what I would get.
AlexKayRN I love the fx37, it was an easy transition from the g37. I had the audi q5 for a year and although it's a great car; the fx is a much sportier drive. I also prefer the aggressive look of the fx
Lol I liked hearing this. Good video ahaha. So I'm 29 and single and I got a G37x sedan instead of the coupe lol. I have a reason, though. A few good ones. 1) I own a 350z that's turbo 2) Sedan's make it much easier to hall things, while being convenient to drive 3) Sedans usually are cheaper compared to coupes, especially for the G37 4) Why the X: Snow. I wanted an AWD sedan that wasn't a subaru and was in my price range...soo Acura, Infiniti or some other brand. So I went with Infiniti just to have a daily VQ 5) Why not an SUV? Because that trend needs to fucking burn and die. SUVs are the epitome of trash.
I found my 2011 g37s sedan with a 6speed in perfect timing too I had been looking for years never found that exact model. Than my truck gets stolen and as soon as insurance gives me the money I found mine with 90k moles clean title, and all past service records. Meant to be.
I have a base Q40 sedan awd (aka G37 sedan) and I normally leave the newer stock Q50 off the line due to the lighter base Q40 config. ( no heavy akebono brakes, heavy large 18/19" rims, no moonroof.) I it has are Afe drop in filters, 17" inches rims (17.5Ibs each) and an Ecutek E-tuned by John Visconti. Even if the G37/Q40 is stock, the Ecutek tune gives a very responsive throttle response and solid shift on the tranny. It is a lot responsive than the 2016 Mustang GT (v8) with 3.75 axle ratio. I am sure, I can leave a manual tranny 2016 Mustang GT off the line up to 70MPH. The GT pulls hard above 60MPH. It just does not have that street responsiveness like a Visconti Ecutek Etuned Q40 awd.
The awd will give an advantage every time compared to rwd. Also, if you combine awd and and an auto trans, it will beat a similar rwd, manual car from a dig every time. Not saying the G37/Q40 is slow but I'm not sure how my 6mt/rwd sedan would fair against a similarly equipped 5.0 mustang. Thanks for watching!
Also if you count how many secs it took the GT to pass the G37. It 19 seconds! That's past the 1/4 mile run already. If the the average Joe driving a GT manual, only few will win against the G37 from dig. The G37 awd only need DS mode and floor it of the line. If the G37 driver knows how to brake torque that is even better!
Great video. We've got an '08 G35x sedan all wheel drive model. I can't imagine driving the car in the snow without the all wheel drive. We've used the all wheel drive over the past 8 winters and its been great to have. Nice cars, despite some issues. That V6 is the bomb!
They are truly great cars. It can be tough in the snow with RWD but luckily my commute isn't too long. If it was much longer, I would probably have chosen the AWD model. These V6s are very reliable.
I have 2 08's, my Sport 6mt and my wife's awd X. Our awd is beast in the snow, my rwd.... not so much lol, My 6mt is like trying to drive an old v8 mustang or camaro in snow. It sucked driving it to work, our awd is night and day better, even with uhp a/s tires. Obviously tires would make a difference with my rwd, I had michelin pilot sport A/S 3's not the best uhp for winter. Now I run sumner tires on my 6mt General G-max RS's, and have General G-max AS-05s on our awd. Both are ultra high performance just have the all season set on our awd. And we just went through several snow/ice events and it's done great. I'm in Wichita, Ks area.
I just bought a G37 2013 Sedan Sport 7 Speeds rear wheel drive. It is one of the best cars to get. Especially if you are more on the luxury side without minding the speed.
I love my 2008 G35S auto sedan. It is fast, sounds amazing, and it definently impressed all of my friends. The paddleshifters give it a very sporty feel, and I couldn't wish for a better car for the price.
I just bought a 2013 g37Xs sedan with 30k miles. Definitely love the car. Honestly the awd feels pretty sporty since it's mostly rear wheel drive until you lose traction, but since I live in Delaware I kind of need awd haha
I've seen some different values. Some say the sedan is lighter while others say its a few pounds heavier. Either way its negligible and the sedan performance virtually matches the coupe with added practicality.
A M good luck with your new car, they are great! The base sedan is actually lighter than the sport sedan which makes it lighter than the coupe. However if you compare the same trim levels (sport 6mt sedan vs sport 6mt coupe), the coupe is 1-2lbs heavier.
Wow you are so glad you did not but the BMW because it sucks big time my friend works at a BMW dealer as a tech and is so bad he is ashamed to say he works at BMW that bad it is. At first he was so cocky telling everyone he got that job and over a period of 5 years he say he have seen so many crap and the way BMW handles the situations is unbelievable. The basically rip rich people with stuff that break so easily even Kia and Hyundai are better quality in terms of reliability sure they use luxury materials and a bunch of gimmickry but reliability is non existent and I bet bunch of BMW fanboys will cry over this comment saying they own one but only time will prove I'm right.
bahaha you pay much more on a bmw just because nothing drives like a bmw? so instead of paying 20k for a kia or Hyundai that last 10x longer than a 40k+ bmw but bought a bmw cause nothing drives like it.... lololol
I worked at a BMW dealership too (Classic BMW here in Texas). The metal of the engine is solid. But everything around the engine (sensors, cooling, interior trim, etc) - all complete junk. G37s sedan handling is going to be very competitive to the 335i's handling. And it'll last you many more moons without breaking your wallet.
Manual sedans are very hard to find. Congrats. I bought a 2012 G37x sedan last year with 102k for 12,500. Love it but one other difference I've noticed is that the exhaust is much quieter than the coupe. Considering getting a Topspeed axle back for $300. It's hard to find a good deal on the coupes but there's plenty of good priced sedans on the market. Not sure if I'm going to bother upgrading the 17"s since they're only 22 lbs and I live in the Northeast too, (land of potholes). I'd be pissed if I spent a lot of money on 19's or 20's then start getting blowouts all the time.
Coupe is slightly wider and handles a little better. Looks better too. I like both but I've been waiting to get into a coupe while my kids can still fit. I also have a 7 passenger SUV so I see no reason not to get a coupe for me😳
@@jdcapps21 most super cars are coupes? Sorry didn’t know you let your car decide your masculinity or maturity 😂😂 “i gotta get a sedan to show I’m a grown up”
You made the right choice, and besides you have the Z, that is sportier and faster than the G, you might as well get cars on farther ends of the spectrum to cover all your needs
I own a 2003 G35 Sedan. This car has cost me a fortune! Blew the engine because of a leaking main sill -$3500, rear end just went out -$680 plus a couple other repairs. Even though this car has ran up my expenses, I will forever love the platform and I know these cars inside out and how to properly maintain them now. All of the oil consumption and common problems are long gone with the G37 platform. I was looking into G37's and I wanted to ask you what year do you prefer from 09-2011 ? My budget is under 15k. Was looking into 2009s but I know they're the first year models of the G37s.
Picked up my 2010 G37 2 months ago had no idea it was high perfomance car was driving a Toyota tercel I put 231 thousands miles on it .still ran like a Rolex lol anyhow learning how to drive high hp car rear wheel drive .wow learned about the tranny n motor have put 130 rated tires on it yea man so I have put it in ds.mode on tranny punched it smoke the tires kept the pedal down til 70 who yaa love car peoples
i had to go with the g37 coupe with the sport package. i came from a 350z and just loved the look of the coupe. plus as you mentioned the exhaust is different. i just had to have that infiniti coupe exhaust growl. looking at the 2 sedan and coupe. the sedan has a different muffler set up which seems to mute thst beautiful vq exhaust note. Probably what accounts for that 2hp difference.
Jabba12000 0 I hear you! Luckily I was fortunate enough to be able to keep my Z so sedan it is for me! Its weird how much different and more restrictive the sedan exhaust is when its the same car with 2 extra doors.
I own the 07 g35s, pretty much same body style and interior as the g37. Amazing car. The 6spd is def rare to come, although mine was theft recovery. No damage was done except for the driver window that was busted. In process of Looking for some nice wheels for spring/summer
Yup, 07 G35 sedans are same style just the 3.5 instead of the 3.7. Truly awesome car, I love having the 6 speed, makes for a fun daily commute. I'm going to be doing some work to mine soon so stay tuned! Thanks for watching and good luck with your car!
AlexKayRN 2 questions for you. 1) are you a nurse ? And 2) I would like to tune the car but I have no clue where about to go or do it. Any suggestions ?
Yes, I am a nurse. I use R/T Tuning in Montgomeryville PA. Vince really knows how to tune these VQs. He's tuned my Z multiple times and that's where I am gonna take my G when the time comes.
AlexKayRN awesome thanks Alex. I only asked if you were an RN bc both my wife and I are as well in the med field. Just an "out of curiosity question" is all haha thanks again
Ronsvg97 - Yea, I love having the manual. I used to have an RSX type S. It was fun but the G sedan offers a lot more room and comfort. Good luck on your search!
I bought a 08 g35 sedan with 34k miles perfect condition. The body style overall is kinda the same between a g35 and g37 but the front end is nicer on the g37. I just couldn't find one in good condition low mileage and the right price. Stealerships want 22k for a 2013 with 45k miles 🤣🤣🤣
What part of Jersey? I'm a G sedan owner from Jersey as well, I definitely recommend you join the MyG37 forums and see what events are going on. There's the annual MyG37 meet which is in PA on August 5th. Great time.
Thanks for watching. I am in central NJ. I am on myg37 quite frequently...lots of good information there. Wasn't familiar wit the meet, might have to check that out!
True. That's a good price honestly if it's a clean title. The car was only 2 years old when I bought it so I couldn't avoid how quickly it depreciates. Luckily each year the depreciation slows down.
How are the backseats in the coupe? Are they comfortable for adult's? I prefer the coupe over the sedan but the sedans are more available for purchase than the coupes. I hardly see any coupes for sale around NY but I see sedans, the coupes are harder to find so I just might get the g37 sedan instead. I wanted the coupe because literally everyone has the sedan around my neighborhood and I don't want people in my car like that, but if I have to I'd want them to be comfortable and not cramped which is why I'm asking about the backseats?
Lol I myself went from a 98acura Integra to the 08 g37, I chose the coupe tho haha. Good stuff ,sometimes I do wish I had the sedan.... Like when I'm trying to fit my bike in the damn coupe. The coupe has pretty much no trunk space, it's the only thing I hate about the car . ):
hey alex, I am a true diving enthusiast and I really miss my stick shift. i tried to get the g37 sedan in manual, 4 door and the sport trim.....its a unicorn in Canada to find one and my previous car had to go. I got the g37 XS sedan in auto fully loaded so atleast my fiance can drive it and when family visits me (I moved to Canada from the caribbean) I have space and four doors for practicality. I started doing a few mods, hfc, full Catback, CAI etc. I want to know if you think an enthusiast like me would enjoy the car if I finish the build or if I shud just wait till I get myself a second car for myself???? hope to hear back, thanks
The manual sedan is hard to find here as well in good shape. You can still have fun with the automatic but if you want a true driver's car, a manual is best (in my opinion). But, lots of people mod the auto and get it tuned and have a lot of fun with it.
AlexKayRN thanks slot for the response bro. I plan on getting a 370z as my next car for myself and passing this over to the wifey in the future. I am a straight manual guy but I'll take ur advice and thanks a lot! :)
Yeah, I like the g35 coupes, and the 37 sedans. They really made the g37 coupe tail lights look like a tiburon or an altima or something... they're just weak and not very pronounced like the 37 sedan and the 35 coupe.
I want the coupe , just couldn't find one cheap enough . Found a 09 with 35k for less than any I had seen and bought it . I drive 5k a year , but would love a coupe for the looks . or the Q60 . Is yours reliable ? Thanks
I need help I’m having water coming in from the passenger side when it rains. Now I thought is was from sunroof plug but it’s not I NEED HELP PLEASE !!!
Which year model combo would you recommend under 20k? Want plushness and I am coming from a Lexus LS and looking for a pinch of sportiness with luxury. I heard the G37 coupe and sedan does that very well.
I have a coupe and i went for the coupe because of the look on it, they shouldn’t have made a 4 door tbh. Coupe gives them the sporty luxurious look the way its suppose to be the sedan looks like a soccer moms car.
Hey got question got a 13 g37 got into small fender bender put car back together now battery go's dead 60 minutes battery light on cluster is on but that's it got any ideas has code bcm anything would help thanks
Richard Gollen the HR is a nice motor, I have that as well. G for daily and Z for fun/track. If I only had to have 1 car, I would probably have a g37 coupe...best of both worlds.
Yes, I did. I actually saw the first sedan with the kit at an Import Face-Off show in October. Very clean car! Not totally my style but it does look pretty cool!
im turning 21 next month and i just bought an 08 g35 journey and i fucken love it.. i love the sedans more than the coupes.. hopefully its gonna be reliable cause gas is a bitch lol.. but with 49k miles on it, its fast af lol
Congrats on the new purchase, welcome to the family! These cars are very reliable so you should be fine. Surprised you found an 08 with such low miles! Follow along with my budget build on my sedan and see if anything I do appeals to you. Thanks for watching!
yeah it was a company car haha, and judging on their bluetooth names they were like 50 year olds (2 owners). so yeah bro i am incredibly lucky and when i went to the dealer i was looking at a scion frs which was crap and beaten on bad haha it was all luck xD but now that i have it i am so happy about my decision! and its funny cause every other infinity i compared this one too, they were all pushing 100k+ miles on them and were 2 - 3 grand more!
Basically you got a sedan because you're a mature adult. Wish i was like you, but when i drive around with my friends who drive Nissan 370z's and Genesis coupes, i feel out of place with my Accord V6 sedan. Wish i got a coupe...
I got a 09 G37x and I’ve recently been getting problems with misfiring on my 4th cylinder, replaced all 6 ignition coils and spark plugs but im still getting a misfire on my 4th cylinder, tried switching ignition coils and fuel injectors and can’t figure out what the problem is. I hear a rattling noise on the 4th cylinder if i get really close to the engine, can anyone help me out?
Hey iam in infinity love as well I had g25 for 5 years until I had head gasket so I had to get rid of it. I bought g37s with 160kmiles any tips to maintain a 10 years old it rides super fine
All S trims are not manual. You can get the S with AWD with an auto. The manual is only RWD and is only available in the sport trim. Base sedans don't have a manual option. The S package comes with numerous items depending if you go with the X or RWD. The RWD sport comes with the Akebono brakes. They all have better seats, different wheels and a lot of the sport trim cars have the technology and stereo package as well. Hope all this makes sense haha.
I agree on the g35 sedan looking bland never could see myself in one but that g37 sedan? Id prefer that over most start off audis, bmws, or Mercedes (excluding the amgs and M's or S's of course)
@@Pube83 idk anybody whos EVER mistaken a g35 sedan for a Porsche. Yeah when it came out and alot of average family sedans were also bland it may have been the least bland but the g35 sedan before 2007 is over 10 years old and looks ugly compared to alot of cars that came out right after it. The g35 coupe looks way better. The g37 looks way better. Most benz, and bmws looked better, and audi. Either way its my opinion that they look bland as hell unless you do something to them
did you say you have the Z as your fun car? and you are in your mid 20s? You are the man! I am 20 something years more and I can't even get a used Z. So embarrassing.
richbf2 Yea I have a Z too. But I've owned the Z for almost 7 years now. Took a while to pay it off. Everyone has their "thing" and mine is cars. I'll go to taco bell for dinner but I'll spend a grand on an exhaust haha. If you want a Z, you'll get it, just keep working towards your goals!
Also the Coupe (370 GT SP ) has better 4 pot Akibono callipers and rigid body. I don't struggle the slightest with 2 kids. The seats have automatic memory settings, down > forward and tilt. bingo bango,
The coupe works for some. If I didn't already have a Z, I would probably have gotten the coupe. The Akebono calipers are the same on the sedan and coupe though. Body is a little bit more rigid though. I give you credit having the coupe with kids!
Bought a high milage '09 G37x sedan from the dealership I am working at about a year and a half ago. Got a deal on it and it has been an absolute steal. Incredible bang for your buck with a G37. One of the best used cars on the market.
Thanks for watching! The G37 is an awesome used car, I highly recommend it!
The Enthusiast I'm looking to buy a sedan 09 sport 6mt with 152k 1 owner kbb has it at 10k and they are selling it for 7999 is that a good deal?
Yes.
Emmanuel Rodriguez yea that's a good deal definitly go grab that
what u consider high mileage? what was the mileage
you can fit more girls in a sedan than a coupe so...
;)
You only need 1
thank you!
Quality over quantity any day, ma' frand.
1 Scarlet Johansson > 3 Kristen Stewart.

M Q yep I read and heard all those horror stories about bmw and Audi and ended up deciding on a g37 for reliability and fun
Just bought a 2013 g37s sedan. Love every second of it. Can't beat the four doors, reliability, class hp, price point.
It's really a great bargain all around. Probably the best bang for your buck in the class! Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Music to your ears!
You are correct. The coupe has a few minor suspension/chassis "upgrades" to make it a little stiffer for handling.
Keep It G
lol no my comparison was
v35 sedan vs v35 coupe
v36 sedan vs v36 coupe
I bought a v35 sedan initially instead of a coupe and when I went to upgrade to a v36 I opted for a v36 coupe rather than a sedan.
Michael P yea the v35 sedan isnt bad, although I personally wasnt too impressed by it. Glad I waited for the v36. The v36 coupe is very nice. Pretty much a 370 with some luxury.
The coupes get more love for the more desirable look and attention
I don’t have friends so I got a coupe....
LMFAO same
Real
The Sedan is faster. Look up the stats. The sedan also always wins in a race. Not a huge deal but it's the truth.
By not a second by the way only on time naked eye you can’t tell the difference just saying
i watched your videos for a week and i ended up buying a 2011 g37 sedan auto
That's awesome man! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine! Welcome to the family.
702Truee I have the same car
Thoughhhh I wish I had manual!
Thanks for the input! I can definitely see myself having this car for a long time!
I'm the same way I think the sedan looks way better and is very practical I love mines
Antwain Lucas Super practical and looks great!
AlexKayRN highway drone would probably bother me so I guess I won’t be deleting..
Appreciate it. I’m 25 now and now
see the convenience in the Sedan
Good to know. I've always liked the look of the FX. Its an SUV yet it still has nice lines and is decently sporty.
i have a coupe. Question, how do you get people in the back seat without chopping off their legs first? 😂
Currently looking for a 2013 g37 sedan!
Just got mine a month ago 💯 lovin it so much hopefully you got one too!
Stanced sedans are boss as hell
Lol I liked hearing this. Good video ahaha.
So I'm 29 and single and I got a G37x sedan instead of the coupe lol. I have a reason, though. A few good ones.
1) I own a 350z that's turbo
2) Sedan's make it much easier to hall things, while being convenient to drive
3) Sedans usually are cheaper compared to coupes, especially for the G37
4) Why the X: Snow. I wanted an AWD sedan that wasn't a subaru and was in my price range...soo Acura, Infiniti or some other brand. So I went with Infiniti just to have a daily VQ
5) Why not an SUV? Because that trend needs to fucking burn and die. SUVs are the epitome of trash.
VQ Life! 👍
SUV's are nice. A Lexus RX350 (2010+) are super nice and get similar MPG as your AWD G37.
These V6s are very reliable.
pnojazz very nice car I have the 07 g35x one hell of a car
I have the coupe never thought about the sedan once lol
sedans are quicker
Lol sedans are slow coupes are mad fast you can still fit some people in the back of the coupe
@@jakjakez7874 u dumb? the sedan is lighter
Jak Jakez yea ur dumb same engine and sedan is actually lighter lol I guess if you don’t like to mob with homies or girls you can get the coupe
Coupe looks way better to me!
Great video and good info. Also a g37 sedan owner, crazy that it is the same weight as the coup!
I just bought a G37 2013 Sedan Sport 7 Speeds rear wheel drive. It is one of the best cars to get. Especially if you are more on the luxury side without minding the speed.
Its a great mixture of everything. Congrats!
I love my 2008 G35S auto sedan. It is fast, sounds amazing, and it definently impressed all of my friends. The paddleshifters give it a very sporty feel, and I couldn't wish for a better car for the price.
Have you raced a G35x of the same year with it?
@@automotivetv9861 I have not. G35's are kinda hard to find around where I live.
@@arthurritis4561 or a G37x ?
@@automotivetv9861 Nope, but I know that a G37x will win.
The Sedan is faster than the Coupe also! I raced a couple including a S
Because it weights alot less
@@MWAclanGaming Not Alot less but it does weigh less
Besides 18inch tires are cheaper then 19s so you made a good choice man. So Don't let nobody give you shit.
I really want one (I prefer the sedan as well) but I need to sell my car first.
This is there video I was looking for!
To each his own. I got the 08 coupe 6 speed. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Same!!!
I just bought a 2013 g37Xs sedan with 30k miles. Definitely love the car. Honestly the awd feels pretty sporty since it's mostly rear wheel drive until you lose traction, but since I live in Delaware I kind of need awd haha
Stefan Keels nice choice! I would have gotten the X if it had a 6mt option. Only the RWD has the 6mt so I'm stuck sliding around in the snow haha.
I've seen some different values. Some say the sedan is lighter while others say its a few pounds heavier. Either way its negligible and the sedan performance virtually matches the coupe with added practicality.
AlexKayRN The sedan is actually 45 pounds lighter than the coup. Just bought a sedan with 70k miles on it and hope its as good as people say
The basically rip rich people with stuff that break so easily even Kia and Hyundai are better quality in terms of reliability sure they use luxury materials and a bunch of gimmickry but reliability is non existent and I bet bunch of BMW fanboys will cry over this comment saying they own one but only time will prove I'm right.
nothing drives like a bmw though, certainly not a kia. Reliability isn't good but its a price you have to pay.
bahaha you pay much more on a bmw just because nothing drives like a bmw? so instead of paying 20k for a kia or Hyundai that last 10x longer than a 40k+ bmw but bought a bmw cause nothing drives like it....
I had a G sedan for 4 1/2 years and recently picked up a '13 XS coupe. I don't miss the rear doors at all.
Have you ever raced a rwd G37 coupe with it?? who won?
Smart man you made the decision using the head on top of you shoulders instead of the one below your waist
Lol this is funny to see considering i impulse bought a 370z and now 2 years later im about to turn 22 and need the practicality of a g37x sedan
Coupe is slightly wider and handles a little better. Looks better too. I like both but I've been waiting to get into a coupe while my kids can still fit. I also have a 7 passenger SUV so I see no reason not to get a coupe for me😳
In your situation, that seems fair. If I didn't have my Z, I would have probably gotten the coupe.
AlexKayRN agreed
Getting kids in and out of car seats in a coupe is a real hassle IMHO.
You are right about the handling and it is a wide car.
The thing handles like a magnet, total beast on turns.
I honestly agree with you I have a g37xs sedan and I love it
Oslim velasquez Awesome car for sure!
Long story short: you're not a kid or a chick
hhaahah this
Dude really thinks having a coupe makes you grown up lmao. Just preference bro chill. You can still haul a baby in a coupe

I have 2011 nissan skyline 250 gt, i think it's a great car as well.
You made the right choice, and besides you have the Z, that is sportier and faster than the G, you might as well get cars on farther ends of the spectrum to cover all your needs
the g37s sedan manual is a rare car I've been looking for a long time in NY
Super hard to find in good shape. Once you find a good one that you like, snatch it up!
I just got one in good condition a 09 G37S 6MT With 150K+ For $6500
I own a 2003 G35 Sedan.
I personally like the 2010+ due to the face lift. However, 2009-2013 are virtually identical. Can't go wrong!
It surely is a fun car!
More room and horsepower for a cheaper price, easy answer
Thanks lol
I think so. I love g.
I've seen a lot of sedan versions smoke cars at the drag strip also. Even a coupe of its own kind the sedan will beat it.
i had to go with the g37 coupe with the sport package. i came from a 350z and just loved the look of the coupe. plus as you mentioned the exhaust is different. i just had to have that infiniti coupe exhaust growl. looking at the 2 sedan and coupe. the sedan has a different muffler set up which seems to mute thst beautiful vq exhaust note.
Ammar Dardari no problem! Thanks for asking!
and yes i was gonna buy a white coupe but after this video it made no sense on doing so i got the 4 door instead..
good shit bro
Glad I could provide some assistance! Enjoy your G!
bruhhhh you have the manual too 💦💦💦 I'm currently trying to get an '07-08 G35 Sedan 6MT. and I have an RSX and I want a 4 door for all your reasons 😂
Ronsvg97 - Yea, I love having the manual. I used to have an RSX type S. It was fun but the G sedan offers a lot more room and comfort. Good luck on your search!
AlexKayRN Thank you!
You fucked up bro g35 sedan front end is ugly
What part of Jersey? I'm a G sedan owner from Jersey as well, I definitely recommend you join the MyG37 forums and see what events are going on. There's the annual MyG37 meet which is in PA on August 5th. Great time.
Thanks for watching. I am in central NJ. I am on myg37 quite frequently...lots of good information there. Wasn't familiar wit the meet, might have to check that out!
I have a 370z and i might have to buy a sedan soon. Need Backseats now lol. Gonna miss her but at least VHR platform all the same
How much you pay for yours I'm looking at one under $12k about 78k miles manual leather rwd
maximusprr I paid 26 in 2015 with 45k
but that one I'm looking is a 2010 so it kind of old but low mileage
True. That's a good price honestly if it's a clean title. The car was only 2 years old when I bought it so I couldn't avoid how quickly it depreciates. Luckily each year the depreciation slows down.
I don't mind depreciation if I know I'm keeping it for the life of the car which I usually do.
maximusprr Thats very true. If you keep the car until it dies, depreciation isn't too bad. Love this car!
Not much room in the back seat of a coupe. A small child will be fine but anyone over 5ft may have some comfort issues.
@@kova_motive Thank you the sedan it is then lol.
Lol I myself went from a 98acura Integra to the 08 g37, I chose the coupe tho haha. Good stuff ,sometimes I do wish I had the sedan.... Like when I'm trying to fit my bike in the damn coupe. The coupe has pretty much no trunk space, it's the only thing I hate about the car . ):
Love the car man! Sounds awesome
Thanks for watching!! Keep up the great work!
hey alex, I am a true diving enthusiast and I really miss my stick shift. i tried to get the g37 sedan in manual, 4 door and the sport trim.....its a unicorn in Canada to find one and my previous car had to go.
actually I have the coupe.....the sedans are lighter in overall weight
Bigboomer actually the coupe 200lbs heavier I was told due to the doors......I could be wrong
Yea but the coupe looks about 100x times better
nah not 100 but some depending on the owner. some stanced out sedans are sexy af 👌👌
dessidee90 some lol
Yeah, I like the g35 coupes, and the 37 sedans. They really made the g37 coupe tail lights look like a tiburon or an altima or something... they're just weak and not very pronounced like the 37 sedan and the 35 coupe.
Im 25 and I bought the sedan too 😂 same reasons you did. Although i was dailying a 96 Nissan 240sx
Wonder how INSURANCE is coupe, vs Sedan ?
I want the coupe , just couldn't find one cheap enough . Found a 09 with 35k for less than any I had seen and bought it .
I drive 5k a year , but would love a coupe for the looks . or the Q60 . Is yours reliable ?

Starts at 1:30, or basically because weight and specs are the same and this is more convenient.
We get these directly from Japan its call skyline in Japan
I got the g37 sedan so I could use the backseats as a play ground
The coupe looks like ass.
Hey got question got a 13 g37 got into small fender bender put car back together now battery go's dead 60 minutes battery light on cluster is on but that's it got any ideas has code bcm anything would help thanks
I rarely see any g37 coupes except at the z/g meets
Richard Gollen Coupes are very popular. However, if I see a sedan its the journey.
AlexKayRN I gotta say I couldn't pull off owning a G coupe. Lol too white, I'm good with my hr z
Richard Gollen the HR is a nice motor, I have that as well. G for daily and Z for fun/track. If I only had to have 1 car, I would probably have a g37 coupe...best of both worlds.
Hr, it's my daily and rare track. The z is cozy and its a great excuse to get out of carpooling friends
Dude where did you find a manual sedan? I can't seem to find them anywhere. I only see coupes.
did you hear about the world's first liberty walk g37 sedan kit??
Yes, I did. I actually saw the first sedan with the kit at an Import Face-Off show in October. Very clean car! Not totally my style but it does look pretty cool!
Aren't there a lot more perf. mods available for the coupe? Just a guess.
im turning 21 next month and i just bought an 08 g35 journey and i fucken love it.. i love the sedans more than the coupes.. hopefully its gonna be reliable cause gas is a bitch lol.. but with 49k miles on it, its fast af lol
Dont worry, as a coupe driver i can say when we want to take a few people to the beach, we wish we had your 4 door accord lol
Hopefully you got a stick. The 03-07 Accord sedan 6spd are sick.
I don’t get daily driving a stick shift tho.. fr tho somebody explain 😭are they more fun or something?
You don't understand because you're not a big car enthusiast. Manual is more fun. I'm gonna buy this car in manual
I have 136k miles on it btw
I have a g37s coupe 6spd and I live in north jersey... I have good all seasons. Will I be okay?
If your over 30 with kids you shouldn't be driving a coupe it took me awhile to adjust to that new way of thinking
What year is the g ?
Idk if you’re gonna answer but there’s this clean title 2009 g37 with 180k miles should I get it?
Whoaaa that's a lot of miles. I wouldn't buy it. How much is it going for?
Nope. At your budget you should buy a Honda Civic with a stick.
I have the coupe version and other than the wheels and exhaust, its pretty much the same.
Hey iam in infinity love as well I had g25 for 5 years until I had head gasket so I had to get rid of it. I bought g37s with 160kmiles any tips to maintain a 10 years old it rides super fine
What exactly do you get with the S trim?? Are all S trims manual transmissions? Thanks!
+AlexKayRN Hey brother I'm still rolling on the teg hatchback and thinking of the same thing. Thanks for putting it in perspective.
I agree on the g35 sedan looking bland never could see myself in one but that g37 sedan? Id prefer that over most start off audis, bmws, or Mercedes (excluding the amgs and M's or S's of course)
You're nuts, when the G35 sedan came out it was banging, lots of people mistook it for a Porsche model with those headlights.
Either way its my opinion that they look bland as hell unless you do something to them
the passenger seat is different from the driver seat...
did you say you have the Z as your fun car? and you are in your mid 20s? You are the man! I am 20 something years more and I can't even get a used Z. So embarrassing.
richbf2 Yea I have a Z too. But I've owned the Z for almost 7 years now. Took a while to pay it off. Everyone has their "thing" and mine is cars. I'll go to taco bell for dinner but I'll spend a grand on an exhaust haha. If you want a Z, you'll get it, just keep working towards your goals!
AlexKayRN
thanks for the encouraging words :) I fell for the Z since it redesigned back in 09 LOL Keep up the good work.
richbf2 its a fun little car! Thanks for the support!
Great video. Thanks!
Do you still have the car?
Also the Coupe (370 GT SP ) has better 4 pot Akibono callipers and rigid body. I don't struggle the slightest with 2 kids. The seats have automatic memory settings, down > forward and tilt. bingo bango,
The coupe works for some. If I didn't already have a Z, I would probably have gotten the coupe. The Akebono calipers are the same on the sedan and coupe though. Body is a little bit more rigid though. I give you credit having the coupe with kids!
Been about a week since I picked up my 07 G35 sedan. Lovin it! #NothingButaGthang
Antonio D Galves Awesome!! Keep enjoying!
Hey do you notice alot of oil consumption?
im a truck guy but i came to this channel cause i was bored and just looked one up.
2011 infiniti g37
1 owner with 119,000 for 9k. good or nah?
not to sure if you baught it yet but thats not to bad might be able to get it a bit cheaper. baught mine a year ago with 89,000 miles for 14k
Miles are a bit higher but it might have been worth biting at $8k. Just watch out for the "oil galley gasket" leak.
Does the sedan handle like the coupe?
I personally think it handles better and is more balanced.
@@kova_motive Interesting. Im considering a g37/Q60. Im coming from a Genesis coupe 3.8 gt. And I want something kinda similar but different.
How much did you get it for?
