Q50 is way more luxurious, the interior a just on another level. But, G37 I think is more driver focused, more hardcore and sport oriented and it also has that absolutely beautiful, screaming NA v6 therefore I’ll happily take the G any day.

My biggest complaint with the q50 was the new steer by wire. It felt numb and lifeless. Not something you want from a sports car. Plus it had a ton of problems. The g37 has a traditional rack and pinion style steering that allows you to feel the weight of the car through the wheel. It's just more organic in my opinion

Agreed on the drive by wire, not much fun. However, I disagree on the problem with the system itself. I haven't had a problem with my '15 Q50, but it's a sports sedan, not a sport coupe so yeah, meant more for luxury than pure sport. Either way both cars are pretty damn fun. Got to test drive a Q60 coupe 3.0t while my car was getting it's oil changed. Now that... is a fun car! 400 hp 350 tq...
Agreed but you can easily avoid that problem if your smart with the model you choose. I have a Q50S without the steer by wire and it drives amazing. Luckily it’s not something they put in every model
@@justiceodueze2897 Are you sure yours isnt steer by wire? I've never heard of a q50 that wasn't. Even the S package.

I still have my 09 G37 sedan at 186,000 miles. All I did was the oil change and a few dealer recommended maintenance. Style and body still very trendy so I am driving this baby to the ground. Enjoyed your video!

I personally own a 2012 g37xS coupe and I gotta say it's a very nice sleek car for what it is. It definitely surprises a lot of people when you line up with them. Its great from the factory but there are some amazing supercharger kits for these cars that will easily put em over 500hp
I got the exact same car buddy and the thing is bulletproof. Been rockin' G coupes for the past 10 years!

I drive a Q40 and absolutely love it. Its just a rebranded G37. And the Gs are very reliable

I got a 2015 Q50 but I love the way how the G’s sound
I know it’s not the same car but I have the larger Q70L and that 3.7 V6 is a masterpiece. Such a shame they’re discontinuing it.
The G37 platform is waaay before. Low wind resistance low wind noise an lighter feeling.
The rear design is a big reason why I prefer the G37 over the Q. Who ever decided to give it the same rear design as their Nissan cars should be fired.

Mine is a 2009 G37x since I live in the Great White North of Canada. I LOVE my car, bought it from a dealer off its four year lease. The dealer looks at it twice a year and it gets synthetic oil along with the tire change. Running about 160k now and like many owners below, plan to either drive it into the ground or upgrade to the last year of the G37s. Not a fan of the look of the q50...if I wanted a Lexus I would have picked that. I do like the three seats in the back as a five seater is more practical for me. It handles perfectly and I adore driving this car still!

i love my 2009 g37 sedan i think it has a really good aging design with mine being 10 years old and still looking better than alot of cars on the road imo.

I had a 2013 G37 IPL, traded it for a 2016 Q50 Red Sport, enjoyed the IPL, love the Red Sport, big Infiniti fan. Put Motorsport exhausts and Pilot Super Sports on both, big difference.
I have a 2012 ipl how would you compare the acceleration and handling to the q50 red sport?
Just got myself a '13 G37x sedan. Beautiful graphite car, upgrading from a '06 bmw 530xi that had problems after problems! Im ready for the reliable life

@@gabrieldasilva4198 fantastic! only thing was that when I got my borla catback installed, i got an emissions issue, but that was just the computer in the car being wack... i love it! smokes my friends, nice from a dig, and the fact that it's NOT awd all the time is nice. you get rwd till you start to slip

g37 is a beautiful car
Bought my 2009 G37 new and still have it in 2024. Not a single problem with 140,000 miles on it. Love it! Drove Q50 and Q50T as a loaner when I get the car serviced, but I still prefer my G37.

My G37X was more spacious than the Q50 specially in the rear. I went to buy a q50 and the interior was more modern but way compact feeling.

I've driven a q50 and man honestly it was almost the perfect car, it was fast, it was comfortable, it was even spacious, but as soon as it went on a canyon road it became the absolute worse car I had ever driven. So close to checking every box, I hope the G37 Is the fixer of this issue
G37 came out before the Q😂 it's sport oriented. Better for track from factory

I Test drove a Q50 I was fully expecting to love it and walk out with a lease deal. Instead, I found the Q50s "soft," for lack of a better word, and missing a lot of the driving dynamics I had come to love from the reliable, sporty G. I couldn't articulate all of the things I love about the G, but I do know the Q50s was far less exciting. Not to be a sexist, and no offense to the guys who have bought one, but the Q50 struck me as a good car for a woman or a man who didn't care about driving dynamics or excitement. Lord Squidles

I have the limited edition G37xs it's a 2011 but honestly I've never seen one like mine the color is malbec black with red interior I'm honestly inlove with my car. I raced a scatpack charger and neat him it's crazy how fast they are with them being naturally aspirated V6 I easily can do the whole dash In the 5 gear driving with the paddle shifters. G37 4LIFE

Drive the G37 and it's very difficult to look elsewhere. Would like a Q50s now thinking 3.0 TT not the name of the engine but I cannot commit to typing that. Other then that a recent drive on a BMW 340 changed my understanding of BMW for the 45th time. Just has to be new and have the dealer take care of the car.

That's the only thing I worry about with the G37, the glass window motor. Because the fact that it has to go down a bit to let you swing open the door. What will you do if it fails?

2013 G37 IPL 6speed MANual... Red Leather interior. Everytime I take it to the dealer, they keep asking if I want to upgrade, I tell them going auto is a downgrade.

And the handling. It hugs the road and the ass is amazing! Can anyone recommend a truly comparable vehicle with same handling?

You seem to have neglected to mention the “muffin top” line along the belt line of the Q50. The affect gives the impression opposite of the intended “muscular” curves.
Infiniti tried too hard to mimic the lines of the Essence concept car ...and failed.
why would you compare a sedan to a coupe if the Q60 coupe version is available?

The only drawback on G of infinities in general is paint. It’s very easily scratched my 2012 Honda CR-V even has a better paint , on highway rocks flies everywhere. But that’s just a minor part, well I don’t take shower sometimes got all reddish skin but I’m still a 6 foot 7 big dude , not a wussy but u get the point

q50 has the ability to be faster with minor performance upgrades, and an easy chrome delete and lowering springs would shit on the g37 all day. coming from someone that has that exactly.

Honestly it depends on how you drive it. If you keep calm it’ll do you pretty well but if you’re like me and enjoy driving it like it was meant to, it’s not great

First car was a 2008 G35x and my second car was a 2015 Q50 Premium. As much as my G had such a special place in my heart, the Q50 is such a step up. I do understand that the G35 and G37 are different but they have much much more similarities than differences. I just think the Q looks so much more aggressive stock and even modified. However, I do wish the Q had different tail lights. One thing I really enjoyed about my G were the taillights and how they resembled the Skylines taillights.

Having driven both a G37 and Q50 3.0t I'm partial to the Q50. But that's just my opinion, and opinions are a dime a dozen!
This model is different from the one you drove. the 3.0t has a turbo this is just the naturally aspirated 3.7 L V6 engine. (same engine as the 370Z)
You drove a 2016 Q50 or up vs the 2014/2015 shown. But yeah the G37 is fast is just the 3.0T is noticeably faster.
