Mathematical Segun Odegbami. The touchline wizard. I was a kid then but I still remember the the radio shouting his name. Good to see he is doing well.
Mr Segun Odegbami thank you so much for your outstanding contribution to Nigeria Green Eagles and Nigeria soccer as whole we thank you for your Great Service thank you so much God bless you and your family Amen Ijmn 🙏 May Rasheed Yekini Soul rest in peace.what is happening to Nigeria is Corruption and Ignorant of Nigerian people 🙏 😂😂
MR Segun Odegbami you are looking good for your great time of soccer playing Stay bless I just turned 70 years old born and raised in Lagos on October 6 1954 retired now just enjoying my retirement
I know an Igbo man a highly qualified chemical Engineer for the UK. After working with the Nigeria Cement Company PLC Nkalagu, he moved back to London, and later he was selling cars. The man had more than 20 cars and up to 150 buses which he gave to many transport companies like ITC, and many of them. Then all of a sudden, the man came back to Nigeria, started selling all his cars, those he didn't sell all hanged up and many parked on the road and destroyed. This man turned to farming, and heavy pork and palm wine consumption, in Ebonyi state. People said he was mad and that his father placed a curse on him. He didn't do well in agriculture now he lived in poverty. This man has a command of intellect.
Segun Odegbami just said, "there`s so much ignorance..." This is the major problem in Nigeria: ignorance because of lack of education. Depression means madness to the ignorant in the society while someone who is informed knows that this can happen to anybody and can easily be taken care of by the right medical treatment..
well am very glad that i could hear this from 1 of the football icon in Naija.I started with all this people trained with them at liberty stadium as a student years back in 1985 as a young student with liberty boys and co.but no education been extend to people even the road side coaches and co.I promise when i come back from europe finishes my course i will try everything to join this man because i know him both Yekini and the likes of Adepoju,Dimeji Lawal and the rest.rip Rasheed Yekini
There are several videos of Yekini being interviewed in English and he has a fairly good proficiency, he also speaks good Spanish and Portuguese. I am surprised that he said Rashidi can't speak in English.
How this man isn’t sports minister of NFF chairman is a travesty, he’s more knowledgeable and experienced than the people we have had there in the past
Wait a minute! Did bros Sege just say that Rashid Yekini was somewhat challenged in English? I'm sure our gentleman bros Segun Odegbami certainly knew the late Yekini better than most, but I have a question; how did Yekini learn Portuguese and Spanish that he was speaking with confidence and flourish in some of the videos on UA-cam? If I didn't see those videos and only watched this interview, I'd be inclined to believe that Yekini was an illiterate, but anyone who can master conversational knowledge of a second language is in my book an unrecognized intellectual. But please don't just take my word for it, look up the video yourself and be simply amazed,...in fact blown away like I was. What a well gifted guy!
Paul E an illiterate can learn any language. Learning and speaking any language has nothing to do with education. How did kids learn to speak before starting school?
Am very sure chief Odegbami knows him very well. Late Rashidi was an understudy striker with the early 80 eagle that include Segun Odegbami and the two of them where twin striker for shooting stars team that went all the way to the final of African champion cup final in 1985. Sir it's easy to pick up basic second language going by the standard of the great Rashidi instincts.
Talent must however be given a priority over education, this to say that a child who has the talent that is spelt out in any game should not be discouraged on the ground that "if you had been in school you would have been selected" but rather it should be a thing to talk them into amidst their talents. Thanks.
Education is needed in very aspect of our lives. They can start it as well in Academies turns school by doing this it will helps.Kudos Odegbami this are people to be up like Fashanu as well and the rest
they make millions therefore they need to learn to invest for their future .The money they earn in a month, some of them by the way, is more than many ordinary Nigeria earn in their life time please they should learn from their colleague who has done well and investe.
Why are most of his team mate after he scored the goal they just raw away from him, insrtead of runing towards him and congratulate him? Especially the front palyers. OMG , never seen that happens!
Alfred Malam , he was a loner by nature, Segun Odegbami confrimed that also in this interview. He did wrong himself by staying in the net and celebrate. Goal scorers always run to the provider of the pass to them. Just a mess really.
@@ikeze the press praised him solely for all the goals he scored!! He was referred to as "Rashidi Yeking!" That made his mates really jealous! They actually stopped given him passes that could lead to goals. We Nigerians hate our selves.
Guys Segun Odegbami is also a liar and an hypocrite, I’ve seen numerous interview of Rashidi Yekini and his English was not bad at all in fact he spoke enough English to held an interview and he also spoke Spanish and Portuguese so I’m shocked he said Rashidi can’t speak good English at all.
You are misinterpreting Segun odegbami, what he was doing at the back was to tell those organisations that want to help Rashidi not to be doing interviews upon interview but should focus on helping him through what he knows better which is football not bringing him on any platform to be blowing grammar. But help him with endorsement and give him sport training kits material to start a program to empower youths, not a program where he will be blowing grammar every week. I hope you understand what Segun odegbami means.
Amazing gentleman... Mr Segun Odegbami. This is an example our sportsmen should crave to be like.
True talk
RIP Rashidi you were my favorite eagle (from Morocco)

Segun is a very versatile man who's got the key to the eternal verities of life.
How this man isn’t sports minister of NFF chairman is a travesty, he’s more knowledgeable and experienced than the people we have had there in the past

Rashidi had a good command of English language....there are lots of videos on UA-cam he spoke fluently in English.
Am very sure chief Odegbami knows him very well. Rashidi is fluent not only in English but also Spanish and Portuguese.
There are many videos on his interview in English, it could just be that he was a shy and not too confident man.
good football spirit

Alfred Malam Indeed its strange.
@@ikeze the press praised him solely for all the goals he scored!! He was referred to as "Rashidi Yeking!" That made his mates really jealous!
They actually stopped given him passes that could lead to goals.
We Nigerians hate our selves.
I like how Nigerians are conducting an interview and trying to sound British
Guys Segun Odegbami is also a liar and an hypocrite, I’ve seen numerous interview of Rashidi Yekini and his English was not bad at all in fact he spoke enough English to held an interview and he also spoke Spanish and Portuguese so I’m shocked he said Rashidi can’t speak good English at all.
