This does not work as in the same bungie post, it says that the deepsight activation can only be done ONCE on a specific roll of the gun. Because what xur sells is fixed rolls, im inclined to think this does not work (even though it was an idea i had earlier, it seemed too good to be true so i looked into it). Still worth picking up 1 as it gets you closer to the goal

Still worth picking up 5 because, at this point, nothing is set in stone. Bungie also said it would cost 7 engrams to focus legacy gear if it wasn’t acquired previously but when legacy focusing released this season it was more reasonable.

Its funny how Xur makes the ones happy who dont have it but makes the ones sad or angry who afforted some hours to get it the classic way back then. Its the same like it was with DMT or Hawkmoon :D

you can custimize the weapons with unique and better than normal perks

When you craft a pattern, you can go into the enclave in Savathûn’s Throne World and ‘shape’ the pattern of a weapon to have perks you desire

Yeah in the next season we will be able to apply Red Borders to already acquired non-RB weapons. BUT, it can only be done once for each, so that's why you still need five different weps
