I was stopped von july 1st 24 for seemingly using a mobile which i wasn't and can prove this with my phone records . I was only one in car . Six weeks passed before receiving letter with info on my offence . 20th August actually . What do you think
I received a speeding related NIP issued on 5.8.24 for an offence committed on 29.6.24...ie: more than 14 days have elapsed between the offence and the issuing of said NIP, what should I do? Still fill out the attached form but then refuse to pay the fine / take the points when an FPN is issued?
Contact the royal mail give them the post code on the back and they will stop the letters and return them to sender 😊
Husband got a NIP today - 14th March for a near miss he had at the end of October. Also, the letter is dated 1st Feb so the 28 days to respond ended two weeks ago. What can we do about that? Do we need a lawyer?

Receiving it after 14 days is irrelevant. As long as they've sent it out with in the 14 days.
What if it arrives two weeks after the "you have 28 days to respond" has passed?

How about your driving without insurance

When it says prosecution does this mean a criminal record in the event of deicing offence such as speeding or running a red light?
Hi Tom! Responding within the 28-day time limit should be done to avoid prosecution. The option would be to pay or send in a not-guilty plea. Agreeing to pay will stop the matter from going to court.
