- Custom built 1/35 scale vignette with Dragon 1/35 scale figures improved to depict the action towards the end of the war as German forces retreat.
Please comment with any questions on the project!
Master Modeler Glenn Bartolotti has created quite a series with his "Step-By-Step Finishing Armor" series. Each of the volumes is a mini-master class in painting and weathering a specific armor kit or diorama. The paints, powders and washes are all clearly identified, along with pre-shading and other painting techniques. - Навчання та стиль

Your little vignette has a lot of ACTION, there’s a sense of urgency with these GERMAN SOLDIERS…
I’ve watched this whole process…
DRAGON FIGURE KITS are really good, I think !!!!!!!
You can use all of them, or just build one…
The action poses are versatile

Thank you so much! I’m gonna try to use some more of the kits and try to make them look like Ron Volstad intended them to!
Your buildings are fantastic. You actually taught me how to build them years ago before you had a UA-cam channel.
Oh nice! 😎

Thanks!
Great job
Thank you😎👍
I look forward to your other works
Really, wonderful.
I have started making the move to painting entire models with just oil paints (except for metallics), it is so versatile.
I have watched the whole build process, just it captures a great sense of motion and action.
That’s really cool I didn’t think about using oils for the entire process. I’d like to see how that would work. Thanks for the comments!
@@ArmorModelsbyGlennBartolotti I got the idea from a relatively new channel called Watchpaint_minis, he specializes in the subject.
Edited.
Great job. How do you not have sponsorship from Colgate? You must go through a bunch of toothbrushes.
Thanks! I wish I had a sponsor lol but maybe I should call them😎
🤝🎥👍
😎👍
I'm blown away by how well the building and street came out. The figures fit really well into the scene. Do you mind me asking, about how long did this take you to complete (calendar days or hours)? I just started building dioramas about 2 years ago and they can seem to take forever getting to the finish line. It normally takes me three months to complete one with an hour or two a night on average and maybe one weekend a month where I get a good 4 to 6 hours solid.
Thanks for the kind words. I’m retired so I can work on it a whole day if I want and then again in the evening so I would have to say this took me a couple of weeks working on it a few days here and there and evenings. But I probably put a good 80 hours in it. But you have to remember I’ve been doing this since the 1980s at this. I started as a Sheppard Paine disciple :-)
Glenn I got myself a hot cup of coffee with a wee shot of Irish liquid in it. I really enjoyed watching this great video, my complements on your approach excellent work.
