RIDE WITH ME TRAIL STAND FOR ADVENTURE BIKES WITHOUT CENTRE STANDS

- I removed the centre stand from my Yamaha Tenere 700 to save weight. Instead I bought a trail stand from 'Ride With Me' in Western Australia. This lightweight, well designed stand is easy to transport and use, allowing me to remove both my front or rear wheel on a ride to carry out repairs. It weighs just 350 grams compared to around 5kgs for the Yamaha factory centre stand. In this video, I show you the stand in detail, and then put it in action, showing how I can use it to lift the front and rear wheels even on a 200+ kg adventure bike like mine.

Neil.
Just what I'm looking for to replace my homemade reo-bar with T-peice.
Well what a simple but genius solution. A superb demonstration of it too Neil, fantastic stuff.
Thanks G ;-)
Nice tool. Great info.
You're the man to make some for the States mate 😃
That is an awesome idea and product!
thanks for watching mate
That is a nice bit of kit, looks lite, doesn't take much space, it's pretty trick TBH.
Yeh it's gonna be handy MB for sure ;-)
Centre stands are fabulous, if I could have one I would on my GSX S 1000. I can understand you wanting to shed weight though. That system works well mate and a lighter bike to boot ! I like it.
We have had people use them on 1200GS but I’ll be honest I didn’t design initially to be used on the big bikes but they are holding up well !
Hi I’m the guy who makes them 👍🏾😎
We should meet up and try it on your Suzuki haha 😉 ... joking aside - yeh we should actually arrange that coffee!
@@Jeepmeat1974 I reckon it'll last a while mate to be honest, it's not an every day, every ride thing. It's not under much more strain on my T7 than an enduro bike at 160kgs as long as people have some mechanical sympathy, and most of us do ;-)
Timely video for me, I’ve been experimenting with trail stands myself and I really like how this is made and how it works. Too bad there’s not a shipping option for the US.
There's mention of a Tusk one available stateside mate. Looks useful.
@@TheRiderGuider I actually have the Tusk one, it’s not bad, packs up pretty nicely, but it doesn’t feel super sturdy to me on the T700. I do think it’s great for lighter bikes, and I have gotten it to work on the T700 as it will do in a pinch, but I eventually would like something beefier.
@@michaellaughlin3962 if yours gets you out of a trouble once it's done its job 🙂
Nice but link doesn't deliver to NZ😢
nice one. i have butchered an old crutch and refuse to put a centre stand on my world raid. only thing am not too confident re front end lift. Swingarm is a peace of pee.
I got fed up waiting for someone to break and then fix a leg so I could have their crutch 😁
Nice stand, where do you store it on your bike?
Currently in my tail bag but working on it. I'd prefer to find a way to have it somewhere on the bike where it's handy but not visible. I'll work it out ;-) ... have a good bimble today mate.
Best option is to pack it away mate if dust gets inside your bag ! It will jam and you’ll never get it apart ! 👍🏾😎 I’m the guy who makes them for Ride With Me
They’re nicely made mate 👏🏼👍🏼 … yeh I’m kicking myself for not realising Colin sold them Andy Strapz bags too. Could’ve got one in the same postage 🤦🏻♂️☺️
@@TheRiderGuider A top ride today, about 20 riders.
Just out of interest, I’ve just watched watch the video which is great but reference your double take mirrors are they the copies from China? If not I’m sorry if I’ve been insulted you , just that I have bought the copies and they seem to move around a bit. Have you had any problems ref movement . Thanks paul
Hi Paul, thanks for watching 🙂 ... not offended, some stuff out of China isn't too bad to be fair. Mine are genuine DT and are very robust, no issues, but NOT cheap either.
