Good analysis. I personally think that Nico genuinely has that it factor. I genuinely believe in our running game, it’s consistently produced at a really high level. Our front 7 probably the best in the SEC arguably the country. I think Tennessee’s tempo, talent, and schematic undoubtedly overwhelms the Wolf Pack.
One thing I’ve unfortunately learned about being a State fan, is that every week can feel like a trap game lol I am throwing my normal Wolfpack skepticism aside this year because I’m all in 😎 11-1 going into the ACC championship game.
We talked about the HOWL of the PACK sounding out in the stadium and maybe throughout the State of North Carolina. Having all Wolfpack followers Howling at the same time. Showing the size of the opponent that the other team is really facing. The season is close. I think proper preparations need to be made. NC State needs to do this maybe even every home game this year. Heck, the Tennessee game is in Charlotte. Maybe we start it there. Doing this and setting a World Record should get even another level of recognition for the 2024-25 football season. Making it something that will not be forgotten any time soon.
Great job guys I'm going 12-0 Dave finally gets the notoriety he deserves. Making a program relevant with all of the challenges of recruiting I'm adding the transfer portal. He's done an amazing job. I would be satisfied if we just don't lose any game we're supposed to win and pull off one of those two hard games which I see Clemson has very doable because we beat them at home last year and I think we got a lot better and they didn't get much.
I rewatched TENN's bowl game yesterday and they are the real deal!!! They have upgraded their Run game even more.. NICO can sling it and he can run the ball.. dude is slippery!!! We have to come out firing on all cylinders!!! Can we still stop the run and get our hands on a mobile QB?? KSU cough cough..
Tennessee’s Offense is electric. An excellent test for our Defense in only Week 2. Feel like you have to contain the run game and make Nico beat you through the air
To make the cfp comfortably we can only drop one game in the regular season. Because even if we went 10-2 it’ll be “cupcake schedule” and we either lost our only 2 hard games or dropped one we shouldn’t have. I think 10-2 losing to UT & Clemson, but we make the CC game bc Clemson drops @fsu & @vt and it is a championship game for all the marbles, championship on the line, cfp birth & first round bye on the line & a chance to finally bring home a football championship to Raleigh for the first time in 45 years.
Agree. 11-1 will get us in, but 10-2 only will if we beat Tennessee, Clemson, or both. 10-2 without one of those won't do it. Much rather just beat Clemson so we have the head-to-head over them. Control our own destiny
For the first time in a long time, I really believe this team has the opportunity to average 40 points per game on offense. That should be enough for an 11-1 season. Still have to play the games, but I am excited.
Given the new pieces, it’s certainly within the realm of possibility. Anything is possible with the big brain of Robert Anae. Offensive Line will also have a huge say in this
@@LockedOnWolfpack I have not been sold on the O-line taking the next step forward that we need them to, but seeing Belton being projected as a first round pick gives me hope with Peak and Zeke!!
IMHO, if we go 4-0, I firmly believe we go 13-1/14-1. I can also see us starting 2-2 and derailing the whole season. Have excited anticipation. Off the football field, Boo needs to announce additional seating for Carter-Finley. With all the schools removing seats, getting our stadium above 60k would be a shrewd PR move during this time of uncertainty. Additionally, he needs to get the swim facility killed by Covid back on the board. Imagine how that looks, baseball renovations, football expansion, new swim facility, additional investment... Need to make it clear that NCSU is in it to win it.
Win an ACC Championship and a big name bowl, and you might just get your wish. Personally I’d love to see Carter Finley expand a bit as well. We all know the demand will always be met
As a NCSU student. We will go 9-3 been there done that. We lose to Tennessee, Clemson, and a random team we should not lose to happens every year. The third loss I bet is Cal, Stanford. But Duke would not surprise me.
It seems that Wolfpack Nation and you guys are the only ones that have lofty expectations for the Pack football team. All other well known college football UA-camrs and other similar social media channels seem to be overlooking the Pack. I’ve already seen many projected top 25 and CFP projections that have the Pack near 25th or completely out of the picture. I will enjoy messaging all of them should we prove them wrong.
The opportunity is before Wolfpack Football team to set new expectations nationally. We know football is capable, now they need to deliver. Additionally, MBB cannot be a flash in the pan and needs to impress early next season. The Wolfpack need to impose their will this year to prove the naysayers wrong and get them to stop thinking about the football glory days of Clempson, FSU, and Miami along with reminding everyone ACC basketball is what it is because of Case, Sloan, and Valvano.
As an FSU fan, I think Grayson McCall is the best qb in the nation. They’ll play FSU in the finals and it’ll be a toss up. You’ll make the playoffs probably win one game. I got you 11-1
Syracuse, GT & Cal are all maturity games. I think Kenton hit the nail on the head with that. Those 3 games will show us all if this program is ready to take the next step
We go 11-1 (Loss to Tennessee) I believe that NC state sh*t ended with the ACC tournament win in basketball so I hope and pray that we don't lose any stupid or trap games. I have them beating them in clemson because I don't see that team being much better than last year As long as Garrett riley isn't being allowed to call the offense, I see this as a brutal and close win that hopefully ends the demons there. (Also Jordan Waters is undefeated against clemson) Tennessee I see dropping because they are really talented and their head coach is doing really good things there, but I hope for at least a close loss. (Even if it is still a loss) Btw if we win the ACC ship, Grayson gotta grow a mullet in honor of our quarterback if he plays elite all year.
This is the year we win at Clemson. And it will be glorious. & you have a DEAL. If Grayson McCall leads us to the ACC Championship, I will grow a mullet in his honor.
We don't lose 3 hours by flying to California, we gain 3 hours. I'd much rather have a Nooner there than a night game! A Noon game would be like playing at 3PM. A evening game would be terrible because it would be like playing late night for us.
Tennessee being able to balance the two and keep us guessing is where I think we’ll get in trouble. A dynamic run game paired with the ability to take the top of the secondary is dangerous
I think that NC State is too mature of a team to get messy and drop the ball at the end of the season with a 12-team playoff berth on the line. They'll smash those Yellow Jackets like a fly swatter. I have the Wolfpack going 11-1 worst case scenario 10-2. If they're 11-1 best believe they're going to the ACC championship.
Worst case scenario we lose to both Tennessee and Clemson early. Mentally would be tough to come back from. Our season will be decided in the first 4 games.
Possibly, yes. Losing both of those games will keep us out of the CFP without the ACC Title, I believe. Resume won’t be strong enough at 10-2. I think we have to go 11-1, 10-2 with a Win over Clemson, or win the ACCCG straight up.
We'd need utter chaos in ACC League play to have a shot at getting to Charlotte. Our margin for error would also shrink to zero. With 3 losses you can stick a fork in us
Tennessee is having a lot of problems with their secondary; they just lost another key guy, Thomas, with an already inexperienced secondary. I think Grayson and our receiving Corps puts on a clinic with no answers from Tennessee.
I do not see NC State hanging with Tennessee for 4 quarters, honestly. The key to beating Tennessee is shutting down the Tennessee run game and I do not see that happening for two reasons. First, the tempo Tennessee's offense runs means they will usually get their yards on the ground because many teams struggle to get set on time. Second, if you watch that bowl game Tennessee played against Iowa, Iowa did a pretty decent job preventing explosive plays. But the Tennessee QB absolutely killed them on the ground and consistently moved the chains. I do not see NC State making Tennessee one dimensional on offense and that is the key to beat Tennessee.
It'll certainly be a tall task. NC State's defense has really prided itself on Run Defense these last few years. They're gonna have their hands full. I personally (Grayson) think Tennessee will overwhelm us and win the game
I think Clem falters again this year which makes way for up to FOUR undefeated teams in ACC play!!! And all four of those play Clemson.. NCST, L'ville, FSU, and VT.. Lose one and i think you may be done... or there could be 5 one-loss teams!!!

I’ll bet my favorite hat that neither of you picked last year’s path to 9-3. I think our depth will be tested early. Big games = Big injuries.
