Welcome back to TrailTrialerMTB, in todays ride we have wheels on the ground in Scotland! After deciding to go on a spontaneous trip to Scotland, our first ride saw us put wheels on the ground in Glentress on our way up to the highlands. After watching @bkxc ride here back in 2018 and watching the patreon extended cut a million times over, to the point I scarily knew the parts where he said what... But this made Glentress a must on my list to ride.
The trails delivered - we only did the red route since we didn't have time to do the black as we had a 4.5hr drive up to Elgin afterwards. After an incredibly long time climbing, we finally reached the summit of the spooky wood descent where we began our journey downhill right back to the car! The trails delivered with some great downhill sections, both rocky and smooth. It also became clear to me how much better my new tyres were and you could see a confidence boost in my riding.

Love those three trail centres. If you get time try to add Tarland Trails (the new ones) and Gelnlivet red to your trip! Incredible rides!
Already home unfortunately 😫 but we wanted to ride both of those, but just didn’t have the time… that means a second trip is necessary though 😅😆
