    This is awesome Vincent! Yes, there are so many of us and I think that I've collected more than 100 or almost 200 on my website, but I keep finding more. LOL!

      I will definitely be checking out the website today. Cuz I have a little bit of free time on my hands after I clean my house that will be the first thing I do. I will admit I'm horrible when it comes to Facebook and websites. I usually just avoid them at all costs because of my vision.

    One of the biggest struggles I believe is not knowing. Not knowing on any situation drives me crazy! Here's to you finding an answer very soon! Great video showing awareness of the different situations with people with the same condition.

    • @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674
      @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674  5 років тому +1

      Thank you for the awesome reply in your kind words. I agree it's horrible not knowing. I guess for me it's the fact of knowing if I'm going to lose more Vision dramatically 4 am I going to lose vision slowly or will it just stay stable. It's that sense of mind I feel I need to move forward in my life.
      But like I said in the video if it takes too long I will just jot it as l h o n. But hopefully I get the answer I want. Is nice to see more comments from you by the way. Always fun chatting.

    Finding answers is always a good thing especially when you are trying to figure out what you have. I know it’s likely not going to fix anything but it’s also good to know what you have and to rule everything else out.

    • @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674
      @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674  5 років тому

      Exactly my thought process. There's things I would like to know like, am I going to lose my vision fast or slow, am I going to lose all my vision or will it stay the way it is?
      Knowing a diagnosis properly will ease my thought processes and worries. Whether it be bad or good I just would like to know. So that I can move on with my life.

      I thought it was catchy. It fits us perfectly don't you think?
      We should all be careful though Matt and Cory might just be starting a cult! LOL
      Just kidding! I just think that this is awesome how we're all getting together in one big place on UA-cam. If there was ever a time for awareness being spread it is now. We are all doing such a good job.

      Yes I am, but I don't go on Facebook all too often. I'm still learning TalkBack and nvda. I get frustrated at times and just stay clear of frustrations like Facebook. I have a hard time navigating the pages.
      I will get better this is my next challenge as I had problems with Messenger to but now I'm a champ at it. I'm learning each and every day.

    Wow! Honestly, I never heard of LHON until I heard a podcast by a lady named Maria Johnson. It’s called Girl Gone Blind.
    I have a medical background, and I knew about the most commonly known conditions like Glaucoma, cataracts, but until recently, I learned about Retinitis Pigmentosa (I know a lot of people with that, including my Love) Leiber’s, a friend of mine sees no colors at all with poor acuity and LHON. I even knew a young lady born without eyes.
    I’m still in awe of the various conditions that can affect the eyes. I research many to get a better understanding of what someone else might by dealing with and how it may impact them.
    BTW, your logo is pretty badass. 👍🏽😉

    • @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674
      @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674  5 років тому +1

      My logo is not half as bad ass as your comments are. LOL you always have so much knowledge intelligent things to say. And you're funny as hell.
      I didn't realize how many eye conditions there were two lists are going to peer support groups. I learned to something called the trifecta which is someone that has like four or five different eye conditions at once. Pretty crazy.

    Great video! Mats video was very cool! It’s sad but it took me all morning to figure out how in the world to subscribe to other channels on UA-cam using flick motions. I would usually just make my sister do it LOL but can’t always make her do it! I’ll be going through a few of the channels on mats video subscribing today! Glad you’re figuring out exactly what you have concerning your eyesight. It’s so frustrating to be told one thing by one doctor and told another thing by another. Hope you have a great day

      Happy UA-cam video hunting.

    I’ve been amazed at how many blind youtubers there are! I’m only the second person in my family to have an eye disease. The other is my second cousin. Our eye diseases are related and probably caused by the same autoimmune disease.

    • @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674
      @myvisuallyimpairedlife5674  5 років тому +1

      What disease is that if you do not mind me asking?
      I don't want to be nosy so if you don't want to answer that is okay. Cuz I know l e h o n is a mitochondrial disease and that is the same thing as a autoimmune disease. Some people with LH on get something called Plus. L h o n Plus is when you have multiple sclerosis symptoms including and I condition disease.

      Vincent Grasso My Visually Impaired Life I have a type of uveitis and optic neuritis. My cousin has had severe optic neuritis. She’s been diagnosed with Behçhets disease. My rheumatologist thinks I have rheumatoid arthritis or Behçets. I think it’s the latter. Even though it’s not supposed to run in families, a lot of people in my family have it.

      @@strawberryseed1886 well I've done a lot of blood work and I've been to Rheumatology as well. I have found that I have no immune diseases to be seen. All my blood work was good. So the l h o n still stands. However, thank you so much for this added information because I had never heard of this condition. I will definitely look into it and mention it to my doctor. Thank you so much.

      Vincent Grasso My Visually Impaired Life it’s really hard not knowing for sure. I actually hope you don’t have it or any autoimmune disease. The meds are really harsh. I’ve been through hell and back just because of the meds. I don’t wish that on anyone.

      @@strawberryseed1886 thank you so much for your concern and all the info. It truly means a lot to me. So far so good though on the immune diseases. I'm looking healthy and this is just likely a concern. But only time will tell again thank you so much it's people like you that are the reason I do UA-cam and make so many new friends.

      Yeah, when I started my UA-cam channel me and many others became one big knit family on UA-cam. Most of us blind UA-camrs keep in communication from time to time.
      But remember Brian, before I started my UA-cam channel I got on the good old UA-cam to learn about my blindness amongst other things that I was going through. I came across videos from people like Sam from the blind life, how Casey sees it etc and you my friend. You guys were all inspiration for me.
      Starting this UA-cam channel was definitely the most therapeutic thing I did for my blindness. Hopefully I can get the time and willpower to make more videos soon. Thanks for checking out the channel.
