0:14-4:12 it was touching to see Barnabas pay his respects to his old friend. Ben Stokes was the 1795/1840 predecessor to Willie Loomis in the present day/1970 Parallel Time/House of Dark Shadows (along with Julia Hoffman [present day, 1970 Parallel Time, 1995, 1840] and Quentin II [1897, present day]), as well as Magda & Sandor Rakosi in 1897 Why wasn’t Julia with Barnabas in paying her respects to Ben in Reverend Trask’s chapel? Ben helped Julia get used to 1840 Angelique’s curse continues to spread sorrow for Barnabas; he lost his uncle Jeremiah, his little sister Sarah, his mother Naomi, and his fiancé Josette in 1795, Victoria Winters in 1968, Roxanne Drew in 1970 Parallel Time & 1840, his cousins Elizabeth and David, Eliot Stokes’ niece Hallie, and Daphne Harridge to Gerard Stiles in 1970 (resulting in cousins Carolyn half-insane and Quentin II suicidal), now his oldest friend & Eliot’s ancestor Ben Stokes to Judah Zachary in 1840 I was holding back tears in seeing Barnabas alongside Ben’s coffin 😭 I imagine the somber organ music heard in the chapel is the same music that will be used when Jonathan Frid’s TV rival Bob Barker dies
There is such tenderness in Barnabas ' voice when he speaks about Ben. I think Julia must have come during daylight hours to see Ben. I think they formed a kind of bond because of the secrets they shared. Samantha was a likable person when the storyline begins and it all changes bit by bit.
Wow, at the beginning of the somber & solemn organ music (It also reminds me I was praying in my Catholic Church minutes before the Mass begins) at the Trask Memorial Chapel mortuary, for Ben Stokes in a closed coffin, it brought tears to my eyes & made me held my cat to my face & cried.☹☹😿😿😾😾(Boohoo). Ben Stokes was a dear friend of Barnabas. Some people think that he cut off his own head. Actually, the spirit head of Judah Zachary with a machete in Ben's hand did it. He died an UGLY death. Barnabas requests to view his body. But Trask the undertaker said no it's not at the right time. But Barnabas still doesn't believe he commits suicide. Neither do I. Quentin surprisingly appears at Collinwood & meets Barnabas with surprise. Then Barnabas meets Daphne in the woods. They both don't know each other yet. Both Barnabas & Julia whilst on their mission were discussing that they must work together to make changes to prevent Collinwood from being another APOCALYPSE, ARMAGEDDON & a HOLOCAUST in the future 1970.
Trask is a very difficult man to get rid of. He keeps popping up in different eras. Like the proverbial "bad penny". Who is the girl that Barnabas accosted in the woods? Who is Daphne?? I have so many questions! I like this story, and hope that Barnabas and Julia can save the Collins family! ~Janet in Canada

@@danbaranowski I had no idea about this situation with Bob Barker.
I wish I knew the name of the organ piece that is being played. It is beautiful.
