"I have decided to stick with love...Hate is too great a burden to bear."
~ Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I'm here because I'm learning about this in school. I'm just a little white kid and have never been judged by the colour of *my* skin, but I do know that if any little white kid such as myself judges a little black boy or girl, that's just like being a racist to yourself. That's because everyone is human.
I marched yesterday...was INCREDIBLE.
I am here because of my teacher 👌🏽

"The strongest democracies flourish from frequent and lively debate, but they endure when people of every background and belief find a way to set aside smaller differences in service of a greater purpose."
~ Barack Obama, American lawyer, writer, politician, activist, and humanitarian who served as the 44th President of the United States of America. 🇺🇸
"I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have 3 meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for the minds and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits."
~ Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I remember watching this event as a child. It was stunning. I could tell it would be historic.
I call bullhem

"Ordinary people with extraordinary vision can redeem the soul of America by getting in what I call good trouble, necessary trouble...Now it is your turn to let freedom ring."
~ John Lewis
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden."

now this is peace.
"My religion has come to mean more to me than ever before. I have come to believe more and more in a personal God--not a process, but a person, a creative power with infinite love who answers prayers."

Does anyone know the time on the clock that Martin Luther gave the " I got a dream" speech ? Thank you
this people have to be at least 90 years old, but they look pretty young
It doesn't take a father, a good upbringing, a family environment or a country you live in to build a moral view for what is right or wrong. It's in our core as humans. In our DNA if you will. We just have to let it out.
I believe that
the NAACP or African American community as a whole should've started a tradition to peacefully March the Whitehouse during the 1st week of bhm(February) every 4yrs right after the presidential oath of office(January)...To show their presence, representation in all fields and to openly discuss any and all concerns aloud regarding freedoms, jobs and personal liberties as they affect all those in their community. In honor of MLK maybe this tradition should start next February whether Trump is reelected or not..
😮😮😮😮
350,000 people attended and only 6 missed work
"I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood."
~ Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Ковер и фон:
оранжевый, красный и розовый.
The two black bars on the foreheads of some of the people...what did that mean?
Marlon Brado! Young Dylan!
1)How many people were there?
2)What was the atmospere of the day?
3)What was the purpose of the march?
4)Why was the march so important to the Civil Rights Movement?
For history
Martin Luther king would not be a Democrat if he were alive today
He would
You’re right; he was a socialist so well to the left of the democrats.
I’m here because Deborah said I needed to watch this for homework
