Oh, yeah, love the foil. Myself, I would have laid the excess on the back while both pendant and excess were still soft, covering the metal bail for greater adhesion. I would have gently rubbed the back with the clay plastic to produce a better stick, then trimmed. No glue! Sweet! Or maybe even used some of Fire Mountains gemstone chips on the back while still sticky and let that be the part against the chest. Yes! Does the Magic Glos act like an adhesive? If so, let the pendant cure then adhere the gemstone chips to the front or back later.
Wow, beautiful.
Can’t wait to try the resin ! ❤️💋
Good eye , start creating, clocks ticking ! On Apoxsee Scope can’t wait to try it .

Such cleat and professional presentations.
OMG I L💜VE these! So totally my type of jewelry! I had just started doing polymer clay jewelry, buy gonna yay these next! Thanks 4 sharing your beautiful unique craft!
You are so welcome! Happy creating and thanks for watching!
This looks really elegant! I didn't know you could foil this stuff!
Are there other resins you can add to the top side that don't require UV light?
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it. Not that we are away of.
Really liked this video. I would just suggest seeing a close up of the projects on your table, especially a finished glazed piece with several coats of the glaze.
Thank you Carol for your suggestion! We'll keep that in mind on our future filmings. Thank you so much for watching!
I got a collection of beads and jewelry findings from a friend (for free!) and was so excited to find some dichroic glass beads in it ! This is lovely.
That's awesome. Have a ton of fun!
Thanks!!! I've been using dabbling with apoxie sculpt for six months or so, and you answered several of my questions! Most people seem to be afraid of using a pasta machine with apoxie, so i'm very glad to see you're using one without any problems. LOL Provided you clean everything right away. Your magic glos is a favorite of mine too. In fact, only thing you're using that I don't have are your foils. I see some in my future!
You are most welcome Mary. We appreciate your enthusiasm. Have fun with Apoxie and those foils. :)
Beautiful stuff! If the clay is glue itself, then why not throw the bail on while its curing? Or also make a hole before curing as well. Great work though. Looks amazing!
That is definitely an option. It depends on the type of bail you are planning to use or it can just be a personal preference. The video shows the bail being added after, but there are a lot of ways you can ad a bail!
That foil is the coolest thing I have ever seen! I was like WHAAATT! However, I am curious wouldn't it be better to place the fastener into the clay before it dries so that it is adhered well or is it because the piece was so thin? Thanks so much for the video I am so excited. I cannot wait to try this.
Hi there! Either way works. It's really just a personal preference.
This is beautiful. What would I look for in the spray silicone. Is this like "Pam" cooking spray? Or something from a hardware store, like WD40? Thank you!
Hi Daren. You'd look for an artist fixative. Typically craft stores have it but you can also find it at hardware stores.
I love your videos!! Those are beautiful. When I cure that gloss under my light it ripples. Can you please tell me why?
Hi Myla. What is the medium you are putting the Magic-Glos on?
@@FireMountainGems UVResin.
Wow, this is so beautiful...I feel another obsession coming on, lol! :o)
What's one more, right? Lol have fun!
:O gorgeous! i need that foil in my life! ;) can it work with regular clay? how?
It sure can be. Here's a link to a video tutorial on using foil like this with polymer clay: fmg.co/wvSqxa
You could wrap the scrap around a paper bead. Make some earrings to go with the pendant.
I was wondering what the texture wheel is called? And where I can get one? I tried to find it on Rocky Mountain Gems. But couldn’t find it. I don’t think I was looking it up wrong.
Hi Artie. We're not sure what you mean by "texture wheel".
Questa resina di Lisa Pavelka può essere usata anche su foglia oro come protezione per non farla ossidare ? Grazie
Sì. La resina funzionerà sulla maggior parte delle cose. Ma non è finita prodotti a base di acqua o alcol-based. Quali colle, pennarello, ecc
Chiedo scusa.
Il mio italiano non è buono.
Hi, where can i find the "foil" that looks like abalone Lisa is using in the video? I went to Fire Mountain Gems. thanks in advance.
Hi Marjorie. Go ahead and follow the link in the description of the video for the foil, or for your convenience, here it is: www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/h204412bs
does it matter if you used another uv lamp ? Because I already own one from mac its a 36w uv nail dryer
It certainly couldn't hurt to try. We believe as long as it is a UV lamp, it should work.
thank you for your insight
You are quite welcome.
Can this clay be used with polymer clay?
Hi there. We've never used the two together. Although the end result is about the same, they are two totally different compounds. One is air drying and the other requires baking. We're not sure if the apoxie sculpt will hold up to the temperature of a polymer clay bake. We're sorry we couldn't be of any other assistance.
