That was my Merc, was done in the 90's. I sold it several years ago. Can give info and pics. Square door handles in, the Lexus dashboard in, front suspension, custom rear frame, custom grill opening and rear pan. Does the front of the frame still have my red pinstripes I put? I have pictures of it to prove it. The wheel well were flared out. The rear end had air shocks and was painted red. Trunk was cut out and Mustang gas tank was put in. Had no taillights yet, rear was all molded. I traded for it from the builder. Message me back if you can!.....

Hello Original Rebel. This may or may not be your Merc. The square door handles were indeed in it. There was not dashboard when I got this car. There is no "custom rear frame" as it is a full aftermarket frame from a manufacturer in the 90's. My car did have red pinstripes on the frame and the wheel wells were flared out using electrical conduit which I removed etc. The trunk was cut out but had no tank in it. The rear end was a Chevy and did not have air shocks on it and was not painted red, I would very much like to know more about the car you had though as it may be mine now and would like some more history on it.

@@michaelvsmetalart7301Thanks for the reply. It was my car, I traded it from the old guy who built in Sacramento. And the whole frame was custom built. When I got it, it had all the stuff I mentioned. But was a basket case of a car. Like you said, very badly done, but I wanted a 2 door merc. So I got the worst of the deal. I traded a 4 door merc for it. Then I traded it for a 50 Fleetline. The guy wanted to finish it, but I saw it for sale at the Pomona swapmeet. I again saw it for sale I believe in the high desert. And someone put those horrible taillights on. It cool to know that someone did something with it. I would like to send you some pictures, you can use them to show how it was before. Do you have a email, or I can give you my cell#...... Thanks!..... I still have the pics that he sent me before I bought it. It was in the backyard for some years. It looked ok in those, that's why I traded it.
