Disney's Snow White,[2] or simply Snow White, is an upcoming American musical fantasy film directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Marc Platt Productions, it is a live-action adaptation of Walt Disney's 1937 animated film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which itself is loosely based on the 1812 fairy tale of the same title by the Brothers Grimm. The film stars Rachel Zegler as the title character and Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen.
Plans for a remake of 1937's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs were confirmed in October 2016, with Wilson announced as a screenwriter. Webb entered talks to direct the film in May 2019 and was announced as director in September 2019. Filming took place primarily at Pinewood Studios in England from March to July 2022, with additional filming and pick-ups taking place in June 2024. The film elicited pre-release controversies, with criticism levied against Zegler's outspokenness during the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes, story changes, and color-blind casting, as well as actors without dwarfism playing originally dwarf characters.
Snow White is scheduled to be released in the United States by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on March 21, 2025.

Congrats Ediz for being in the movie, that’s amazing, i am not super hype for this movie because i am HUGE Snow White fan, so i am bit worried and concerned for this movie cause there has been ALOT of controversy on it including with the casting of Snow White being Rachel Zegler who’s skin is not as white just like the casting of Ariel being not white also.
But saying that i hope the movie for you Ediz is a really good experience for you, and people might love it or hate it, but i hope hate dosen’t come your way cause you’re in the movie, i hope that dosen’t happen to you.

Very excited to see how theyll interpret the story itself and what changes theyll make? As Snow White in general is probably my favourite fairy tale so this should be exciting! Super excited for Ediz too! ❤❤ im very excited about seeing Gal Gadot's outfits!! I know there's been mixed opinions on it but I'm really looking forward to this! Hearing Whistle While You Work in the trailer gave me the feels!! Also, in the trailer we got a brief look at the Witch too! I think it'll be Gal in prosthetics?

@EdizAndBen yes! There's some original songs too from what I've heard? And mixed in with the classics, I'm so excited! I really hope everyone gives it a chance! I feel similarly with Wish, I personally liked it, I feel like many people didn't give ot a fair chance. But the live actions do often tend to have large audience numbers I think! So excited about this!!

One thing that’s Really Ruining The Live Action Movies that Disney are making is how much CGI,Blue/Green Screen They are relying heavily upon. Look at the new wicked that’s how it should be done they have used little to no CGI they Planted every one of them poppies in the field

You see the very base issue about the hate bandwagon is: nobody stood up for Rachel Zegler from her coworkers and said: hey she is a very nice person; I should know, i worked on Snow White with her! So anyone who did, shame on them. She suffered alone and her UA-cam is still full of hate messages we were the ones trying to defend her all this time.
I’ll be honest, I’m only going to watch it to spot Ediz 😆 Really not enthused by that trailer, why have they tried to make it look like a thriller? And looks like there’s SO much CGI, I hope I’m proved wrong. 🤞 you do get to the premier! X

I'm kind of borderline for this movie and that's saying a lot knowing I am a HUGE Disney fan. Just want to say, in case you guys don't know, Rachel Zegler is, with all do respect, the worst person to ever play Snow White. She's gone so far as to change the entire plot from the original film, making it seem more feministic as "she's not going to be saved by the prince." As far as I'm concerned at this point is that this movie isn't a live-action remake at all. It's just a fairytale spin off, and I love a good fairytale spin off if it was meant to be. Disney is going to lose money on this film just putting that out there. Everyone just wants a faithful live action remake! But I will give it a chance knowing that Ediz is in the movie!!

I hear what you are saying and it will be interesting to see how It does. Rachel won't be in charge of the script and the direction of the movie as she is just an actress playing the role, so it's not really her decisions that have made everyone so mad lol fingers crossed its a good movie :)

Positives: there's only one for me (and that's partly because this is a teaser so there's not a lot to go off of), and that's Rachel Zegler's singing. I think she's a very talented singer and a decent actress in the films I've seen her in, so I'm sure her performance will be one of the stronger parts of the film.
Onto the negatives!
I am a fan of the original Snow White quite a lot. I find it charming and full of passion from the animators, so I was disappointed to see the aesthetic of the new trailer feel very ai-generated.
There's just no life here. The deer looked okay, but the dwarfs, the landscape, the costuming, lacks any heart or ingenuity. No hate to the animators as I'm sure their hands are tied by the overlords of Disney. But like, what are we doing here? What is the point anymore?
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was ambitious, groundbreaking, and joyous. This trailer felt like the antithesis of that.
There are a lot of impressive and memorable adaptations of the story of Snow White (Snow White: The Fairest of Them all, Snow White: A Tale of Terror, Sydney White, Mirror Mirror, Snow White and the Huntsman, and many, many more). There's a variety of tone, points-of-view, and aesthetics that set each interpretation apart.
Disney's 2025 version will likely be yet another disappointing remake because the company doesn't have the guts to genuinely take a risk anymore. Even in production, the signs of trouble were visible when they went back and forth on the dwarf issue, first deciding not to hire dwarf actors because they thought that would be the more progressive route, but then, after receiving backlash for the leaked images of average height people playing the role, reneging and making them cgi. Like, have a backbone and stick with a decision, for goodness's sake! Otherwise, your intentions are very clear.
I'm happy for Ediz and all the other dancers, actors, production crew, and animators whose dreams came true by being a part of this film. I think it's a shame how far the magic of Disney has fallen and hope they'll, for the love of Peter Pan and the Seven Dwarfs, give the remakes a rest.

It doesn’t stand time. Look at Lord of the Rings or Dune. 20 years past for LotR. Still one of the most beautiful movies. Dune will stand too. Practical effects. CGI gets old fast. You have to be very lucky and extremely good to stand 20 years and the new generation won’t say “ok, in it’s time….”
