For those of you out there that don’t know why this doesn’t work, when you pluck the strings, the vibrations are what make the sound. If you were to pluck it and then immediately grab that string it stops vibrating and therefore wouldn’t make sound. It’s like grabbing a big rope and playing Beethoven’s 9th symphony just by holding a pile of ropes.
