  • This video was commissioned by workplace and personal safety specialists PPSS Body Armour to provide the ultimate demonstration for their stab vests.
The company's CEO Robert Kaiser put the garment to the ultimate test to show how effective it is at protecting the wearer from any type of weapon.
It employs the use of chroma key - the technique which puts the person or object you're filming in a virtual setting - in this case in front of a backdrop featuring the company's logo with an effect timed to bring it to life.
This video was filmed in an office environment, but the use of chroma key meant the client had far greater control over the branding, colour scheme and overall backdrop for less than the price of a couple of large vertical stands.

Ok here is a product review from someone who has this vest... the vest is amazingly light and is fairly comfy, downside is there isnt any side protection but this vest does its job when it comes too blunt force protection.. Im a door supervisor and wear this vest and saturday night had an incident.. to make a long story short at one point the man i was removing tried to judo fling me and we fell halfway down a flight of stairs.. thanks to this amazing vest i only suffered slight bruising

Is this more expensive than duct taping a phone book to your midsection?

Do stab proof vests degrade over time like bullet resistant body armor?

True, and the technique he's using doesn't really utilize the full power power of the baton.

I have been working in the Security Service for a combined 30 years + and I have always worn Kevlar vest for one very good reason that it saves life's I can say that as I have been shoot at knifed and some unpleasant people have tried stabbing me with unpleasant items. My employer brought these vests in and nearly all the staff have got back pains posture issues, you over heat in them and if that is not bad enough they are cheap, not so long ago a friend of mine got his pushed into his throat so bad he blacked out. And just to prove a point we tested one and yes this video shows what PPSS wants you to see but that is not how you are attacked the mechanics of a body are not 90 degrees I fact the knifes we used that were of different sizes and ranges all ended up in either the lower back the back of the neck or from the front in the throat or stomach. So please if you are getting body armour think carefully this stuff is damaged ur and I am surprised it is allowed on here
