Austine Richard Overton---"Alas, eleventy-one years is far too short a time to live among such excellent and admirable peeps. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."
That was earlier this month!! Wow...been following his story for a minute. I'm only 63, but I think he's inspirational, hands down. Survived WW II and still mind pretty sharp apparently. So if you're 20 years old watching this...you've got some thinking to do about aging gracefully and getting to such an age. No meds, BTW so if you're abusing your health, you've got time to stop. Me, I'm semi vegan and still skip rope and ride a bicycle, motorcycles and yeah, I like cigars too. Cigarettes are poison anyway and weed, please, slows a brain way down to not wanting to do anything but get high. Sorry...but it's truth. There's a little that could be of medicinal value but mostly I just see people wanting to get "toasted" around here, legally. A mind is still a terrible thing to waste on that. So I read books, play music for part time income and the fun of it all. Great substitute for other vices, though I still love seeing beautiful women, if they're intelligent and not total airheads. There's a lot of love about living life. So live it and take care of your mental state as well. Or you won't even make it to half of Richard's age, chasing rainbows and wasting your life. I'm trying to learn how to become a P.A. for movies and film and whatever you want to do is well within your reach if you keep yourself on point. Life is one day at a time anyway. Bored? Read a book and learn something new each day. Library card is still free I hear. Or sit on your smart phone and stare into oblivion's lair mindlessly while smoking a blunt and your mind gathering cobwebs. Choice, something we have still. Freedom as well to choose wisely. Richard chose life and a positive attitude about living it. You can too...if you want to. Proof of concept, right here. Yep!
Michael Hill your an inspiration, I'm glad we have people like you to get your advice, I honestly think you should start a UA-cam channel of your own, just when I think life couldn't get any worse I read your comment and felt much better and realized there is more to life, thank you for this comment.
Glory be to God ! How wonderful it is to witness such years of age Human even though I just know through youtube!! Neither cigar nor whisky kept him alive over100 years. Surely God’s promise did. I wish him hearing gospel in those years.
