- Welcome back to Ghost of Tsushima. For this video, I wanted to show off more of the combat. This is still very early game so I don't have nearly all the moves unlocked. Even in the early game you still feel powerful as combat stays fun and satisfying. I'm having a lot of fun playing this game it's lived up to the hype for me. Let me know if you enjoyed the video :D

Played this game a lot today and it was such a refresher. I’ve always wanted an Assassin’s Creed game set in Feudal Japan and this is close enough. The setting, story, and the graphics are all incredible and extremely immersive.
MasterAssassin dude this is as close as we’re going to get Sucker punch nailed it !
And ubisoft would never be able to produce such a combat masterpiece.
Ubisoft cant make anything nearly as good as this
@@talhamalik8818 true. The only thing I have to say is they nailed their lighting over the years especially in odyssey. But everything else like realism or gameplay.. just big steps back
Nup33 420 Ubisoft would probably make it so that your samurai can kick someone 90 feet back, or turn invisible in stealth, or even allow you to change your horse into a unicorn😂

Why?
Quick note for anyone that plays stealth: if you upgrade the tanto to stage 3 it shortens the assassinations to make them quicker but they don’t look as cool and theyres less variety. I personally wish I hadn’t fully upgraded it coz I liked the more varied and longer assassinations and they aren’t even that much longer.
Exactly. Restarted my playthrough as soon as I realized that. I’m trying to decide whether I want to keep it at level 1 or go to level 2 :/ Level 1 has a crunchy sounding neck stab and a neck snap, but level 2 has a slit throat and a really cool “almost seen” stab.
Jacob Abbott yeah I wish I could do the same but I done so much side content and I think he still also does the neck stab if you upgrade it to level 2 I could be wrong tho.
The Baconator No, unfortunately level 2 only has the throat slit, and a completely different neck stab that sounds less crunchy. Still cool though.
The best animation on level 2 is the animation where they almost see you, and Jin stabs it in their neck, and then breaks it to the side. It’s awesome, so I think I’ll go to level 2 and stop there.

The Baconator Yup. Just took the plunge on my restart and upgraded it to level 2. I’m stopping there. The level 1 animations, while pretty brutal, just seem really sloppy for the ghost, especially the trip/stomach stab animation, and that makes sense since level 1 represents his early attempts at stealth killing.
All level 3 actually does is take the normal animation for stealth killing the heavy brute enemies, and applies it to every enemy. So, it’s fast and efficient, but one animation is boring af.
Why haven't they stopped? He's already told them everything he knows.

Don't neglect the stone stance piercing strike! Parry, stagger or dodge, hold triangle for one second and go straight for the heart. You can do two stabs when leveling up the skill. I'm loving this game. It's a slow start but there's such a lot to take in and once you've got a handle on the combat it's a joy to play.
Funny bc I said to myself this morning " today after work, you're gonna stab the shit out of some guys using the stone stance!" I forget I can use the whole environment in combat too, some bad guys chased me to a rooftop where we had a pretty sweet battle.
Was going to wait until tomorrow, but frick it yo.

I feel like the combat mechanics of games are being overshadowed by graphics these days especially in fps. Graphics are cool, but its really refreshing to actually learn a brand new combat mechanic in a game.

@@rpgames6922 Joel fanboy? I was never a "fan" of TLOU to begin with but i enjoyed the first game. (Just the story and characters though, hated the gameplay)
The second game was mediocre at best. Great graphics, good soundtrack, mediocre gameplay (The boring ass formulaic gameplay of Naughty Dog), poor to medicore characters and awful story.
The only thing that i got out of my 60$ was eye candy and good soundtrack.

I like how you flow with the gameplay and not rush anything. Not like others who seem to ruin the experience by doing clumsy movements. I enjoy watching people piece together all elements that a game offers.

Assassin's Creed series (didn't play Odyssey, but I guess it's more of the same) is the pinnacle of superficial gameplay. Stealth is shallow, combat mechanics are shallow, plateforming elements are shallow. I hope this game is NOT like AC, because that would mean one thing about its gameplay...
Not only the visuals are amazing but also the combat system, but there's room to be improve though especially on stealth. I wish there's a way to pick up bodies, can go through closed windows, can create simple traps similar to that toxic wind chimes and a very clear choice either go full stealth shinobi or full head-on samurai.

I like how this non-assassin's creed game is now more assassin's creed than actual assassin's creed, which is more of just a fairly ok fantasy open world game series now.
GoT doesn’t have social stealth or complex parkour, two of the core gameplay pillars of AC. Valhalla is only missing the parkour. Not to mention that GoT has nothing to do with Assassins or their Creed, but Valhalla will.

@@jcers neither odyssey or origins had social stealth or complex parkour. The parkour in Odyssey is a joke compared to earlier games, you can climb thru clean no edges marble statues, like what are you even holding on to? not to mention pointless, non of the cities (athens, sparta etc) call on parkour to navigate. Odyssey also has fck all to do with assassins or their creed, all the focus seems to be on some sort of rpg/mmo, with the way you grind gear and levels. This game is more AC than we've had in years.

adam power Valhalla has Assassin iconography, social stealth, Assassin vs. Templar conflict, a present day story line including the old school present day characters, the Creed, AC philosophy, memory corridor confessions, the Animus, etc etc. GoT has zero of these things, yet is somehow more AC than Valhalla?
This game seems like a combination of The Witcher 3 and Assasins Creed. Good damn combination of games if you ask me..think i'll get it.
Wow this is nothing like I expected after seeing the amazing first look gameplay, and trailers. It's still good, and I'm jealous i can't play it, but it doesn't look as 'video game history making' epic as first thought.
Watcher trust me it is, you have to experience it. Riding on your horse through the forest, boss battles, wind physics, combat. Especially combat. You get more skilled as you go along.
This game has proper dodging than AC which l liked rather than you dash unrealistically.

Tip: If you're sprinting and want to not run out of breath, press O on PS4 every now and then while sprinting. Jin will slide step forward and continue on with full stamina.

Literally all i want now, is a mode where you can simply just oneshot enemies nonmatter what. That would TRULY make me feel like the most powerful Samurai in the Land.

@@sushi9303 It is incredibly long. I played for 12 hours straight and am only half done the first of three regions. That said, I feel like it's able to sustain that length. Very little of the content feels like filler to me.
