Compliments to the quality of the fab work and your techniques! I'm sure the 3-point hitch itself is a little hefty, guessing around 50# or so. Adding in the additional what looked like about 125# per side, so... around 300# total available ballast? I really like how compact that design is and some ballast is better than no ballast in so many cases. The box I built is around 600# all in, which a lot of times is probably more than I need and it's big/bulky to keep/move around. So, yeah...I like the balance yours offers. You might consider a feature where you can add on to that thing, as your tractor is certainly capable of carrying enough to justify far more than 300# worth of ballast.
Thank you. As is, it can fit eight bricks At approximately 25 pounds per brick. So 200 pounds of lead bricks. I haven’t weighed the hitch itself, but I’d imagine between 50-75 pounds. So 300 pounds tops for the entire unit is probably a high estimate. I can always modify it to accommodate more ballist if needed. I wanted the flexibility of easily adding or removing weight, and I didn’t want a big bulky unit. Hopefully it works well, time will tell.
Great design and well built. Nice work!
Thank you!

I should also add that I do have the rear tires filled with liquid for traction as well.
