I've been a chef in fine dining for 11 years now, and grew up without a dad. this channel lets me live a childhood I feel I was missing. I don't know if you set out to do this, but your videos stir emotions in me that I didn't expect to surface.
I love his spirit. Always surprised and takes every obstacle as a challenge. Turns every misstep, positive. You don’t know how lucky you are to have a dad like this.
Yes, Iron Chef. The soldiers would greatly appreciate this meal. High protein and hearty ingredients, the way you brought the vegetables back to life. Perhaps not the tastiest dish I've seen on the channel, but when you're hungry from hard work of rucksack marching and low crawling all day, everything tastes amazing.
haha love the ending. Susur will get it all in one go someday. Can you do a video on trying to make lunchables gourmet or like popular candy to make a dessert? :)
This is a particularly interesting episode for me. I did something similar when i was in Iraq. My base was a hole in the wall so we kept extra food in the freezer. I made a "gourmet" meal with a couple MREs and extra ingredients we had stored. Came out really good actually, and the platoon enjoyed it too

I feel like you might be the youngest of the family just the way your dad sits like he is going to feed you😂 but it’s a beautiful thing! I love how their personality’s contrast so well the son is so calm and relaxed, quite while the dad is so energetic and passionate it’s such a good mix
This is the best one yet. I appreciate that he even went above and beyond to use the wrappings and utensils they provide in the MREs. That little extra bit of respect to the MREs that are untasty food made out of practical necessity rather than junk food available when we could be eating something better. Love itb
