I did a competition with my partner and one judge marked us 7th and all the other judges marked us 1st and 2nd, it transcribed that the judge gave lessons to one of our competitors, who consequently came 6th, where we won the competition. That is proper shady and corrupt, but we just say the same as you, “whatever” !! And enjoy ourselves regardless. That was a very insightful podcast.

Also in a major competition, our dance teacher marked us 7th and we got 1sts and 2nds and came 4th.
At the next training session, he gave us the biggest telling off off ever, and said he saw all of our mistakes and couldn’t bring himself to mark us up because we were his pupils. I actually respected that more than anything and now work a lot harder as a result. Last nights session was tough…..and I loved it 👊

This is awesome. Yours is the kind of teacher who can benefit us the most! And to inspire us to do the work.

I was a competitive figure skater, and now a ballroom competitor. I don't like the judging system for either unfortunately.🤗❤️

@@gabriellek1511 I only just saw your question. Happy to report that I won every event! My greatest achievement was dancing consistently through Single Dances, Multi-Dance, Scholarship Semi & Final. Dancing American Smooth, Open Gold. So, Vaughan’s video DID help.😃

@@TheTeamDavey Fantastic work, congratulations!! Wow you smashed it all out. "Trust your body, trust the training that you have done" - he does seem to know a thing or two 😎
