Lol, I always thought Onigiri was weird for a breakfast but I told myself “You were having rice for breakfast for Ages, what’s off with this one?” 😂

@@MiwasJapaneseCooking I think I’ll like it, it just didn’t cross my mind really, I mean I’m used to eating Miso Soup (with seaweeds in it-Wakame and chopped Kombu) partnered with Salmon and a piece of umeboshi. So this would work. This video is actually like a reminder, thanks!

    I love eggplant 🍆
I feel like I’m the only one who still makes onigiri without a mold, bowl, or plastic wrap. 😳

A shame most can not or will not eat like this. Families needing both parents working or single ladies and gents not getting together. I've tried to eat like this and it is very time consuming. Granted some, like the prepared vegetables, can be made ahead of time. But not everything.

If I wake up at 5.25 and really rush then I can only be in time at work if I rush cooking the rice and miso soup, eating and cleaning because stupid rice takes total 22 minutes to make already + washing a'd bringing to cook.
And I'm not going to wake up even sooner and have even less sleep just so I can eat this elaborate.

Is there anything you or your husband (or even further afield) really hate food wise that is considered a Japanese staple? I see a lot of seaweed used in Japanese cooking, are there Japanese people who hate the stuff? I was trying to think of a British equivalent but all I can think of is eggs which seemingly a lot of people like to eat, I however hate them.
