Thanks for showing the method using PuTTY, i had a Irxon bt578 RS232 sitting in my center console forever, and their software would not open. I finaly found this showing how to set it up.
Thanks for the video mate! I bought an MS3x and want to permanently install my Android tablet as a dashboard, unfortunately it's Type C USB port and I can't have datas through it while charging so I just bought the Class 1 RS232 Bluetooth from EFI Analytics to connect while the tablet is charging via USB, that should be perfect!
Thank you for the very helpful video. How do I connect to my stock ecu for my c7 z06 corvette to my laptop? Also how would I also input an aem afr wideband sensor/gauge into tunerstudio? My car has a narrow band sensor, so that is the reason why I need to add an aem wideband sensor/gauge. Any recommendations you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
That's going to be a different situation that what I covered in the video. To just connect to a laptop or phone, I recommend a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle, they are pretty cheap. And the app called Torque for your phone. It will give you all the stats in realtime if you want logging or a digital dashboard. It won't tune though. For that on a c7 you need a tune programmer like HP Tuners or DiabloSport. For the wideband, most brands will work fine, like AEM or innovate. You want one with the Bosch 4.9 sensor.
I really like the tunerstudio and wondered if there is a way to connect my stock ecu to tunerstudeo via odbii port? Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Yeah it's a nice product but only works with a few standalone ECUs. Basically the megasquirt, Speeduino, rusefi, maybe a couple of others. You can put a megasquirt on anything technically but that's way too much effort for a perfectly good c7. The other tuner devices will allow you to alter fuel and spark and let you add some horsepower and take advantage of other mods like exhaust or intake.
Msdroid screwd over my ms3 firmware. My clt sensor calibration went bananas. My friend had similar experience he had his fuel map fucked by the fahrenheit and celsius differenc when he connected to msdroid.
Is there a big difference in the ms2 vs ms3 that’s worth the almost $400 price difference? I’m planning to eventually go force induction on my 99 nb1. I’ve searched many forums and could find a direct answer on if buying one or the has an advantages/ disadvantages.
For me the biggest deal is first ms2 is not being actively developed any more and second the ms3 super convenient because many things are built in that with the ms2 you have to add your own circuit mods. A few other things are bigger map tables, easy full sequential injection, better boost control. I think the ms3 can better deal with vics control on the 99. But not 100% sure on that. This is a good side by side compare www.msextra.com/feature-xref.html
I have a MS2PNP and also an nb1 and i didnt have to do any modifying to the board. It has an options plug for alot of stuff you want to add. Also all the drivers and base maps came on a flash drive so its super simple and u’ll always have them incase you have to start fresh or put it on another computer. And pertaining to the VICS it already comes programmed in the basemap. It also came with a serial cable only issue is it’s serial on both ends so you have to get the serial to usb and it has to have the right chip in it (forget off hand but they tell you) Very happy with it.
I'm gonna buy an android atot a6 pro head unit for stereo and my ms2. It has blue tooth and USB in the rear... can I run the blue class 1 for my phone and latop... and the USB cord direct to the head unit. Sharing off a USB splitter off the serial port?
You won't be able to run them at the same time since in the ms2 there is only one serial bus. You may be able to keep them plugged in at the same time, just don't try to actually run the app from two devices. I always unplug the USB while using the Bluetooth personally.
@@OGPedXing yeah Forsure. I was just hoping I can use one or the other. But not both at once...but maybe I'll just try the bluetooth alone first on the head unit. I just hear guys saying if ms2 is plug into the head unit direct.. is doenst lagg or has better connection. Imma go watch more of your vids now lol
@@dangerousfandango5943 yeah the speed is better with the cable. On ms3 at least I've been ok with the Bluetooth speed but I'm not sure with the ms2. The cable is perfect through.
This is my secret plan! Since my map contains the power of freedom and especially boost, once downloaded it will infect their communist regime with the people's rights of Horsepower and Torque!

Is there a way to make the gauges bigger on MSdroid pro?…
Yes, should just be a long press on the gauge and then you can drag a corner to make it larger.

Hmm, interesting. I haven't seen that problem but I'll look out for it in the future. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks! Just the depreciation of version updates is enough to go with the ms3 alone. I think that’s my pic then

what about the ms3pro to bluetooth, that'd be great.

The links the adapters are outdated :(
Thanks for letting me know, I'll get them updated
Be careful, the Chinese government will now have access to your base map.
