Good morning Sabrina. Just go at the pace you can. I can empathize with you. I have arthritis in my hands and some days it is very painful. Hang in there. Hugs.
Fabulous project, Sabrina. Thank you so much hun. Like you, I love clear pockets. I use cello bags but never thought to to make them from plastic sheets...such a great idea. I really like the tab on the plastic, feels like it is floating on invisible air. You so deserve to have a huge number of subbies because you are super talented and such a lovely, caring person who is warmly engaging. It is just not fair that your precious hands are in so much pain. Living with chronic pain can be creativity sapping. I wish I could make your hands better. But despite your health challenges you are making this beautiful, precious effort to turn your camera on and create such gorgeous elements...I adore the secret tag pocket page and using staples is super cool and the flip up page too. I enjoy your crafting process, it is super fun and super inspiring. Love your style. Thank you so much Sabrina. Huge hugs and endless applause. Xx
Hi Jarf, Thank you again for your lovely words, I am glad you liked some of the elements like the clear pockets from this journal. It is sometimes so hard to create something new when you feel as though everything has already been done. I believe that you follow your heart and create projects that make you happy, that's what I try to do anyway. I am pushing through with my hand but it is getting more difficult, I won't stop though (or until I can't ). I love crafting and creating so much. I hope you are doing well and your hands have been cooperating with you as well. Thank you a always my sweet friend. Hugs xx
Aww, hey my beautiful friend, I am so sorry to hear that the problem with your hand is still an issue for you. I had hope that perhaps you were able to get it taken care of, I'm just so very sorry that you are still dealing with the pain. At least now you have the ball rolling towards a solution and hopefully an end to your pain. Pain is such a thief, robbing us of the joys and pleasures of even the simplest things in life. Please keep us updated. I will be praying for total healing. I love the page, it is so lovely. I really like the clear sheet too, that's a genius idea. I can hardly wait to see how it all comes together. I know the journal will be absolutely gorgeous! Take care my friend, sending loads of love from Georgia! Big, big hugs! xx
Hi Lin, Thank you for your king thoughts and words. I am struggling a little but what can you do. I am waiting on the Dr to call for an appointment for MRI. This journal is truly taking much longer then I anticipated but I am having fun none thee less. I hope all is well with you and hope to be in touch again soon. much love my friend xx
Oh boy...I sure hope that you get some relief soon! Poor thing. My hands hurt, go numb, cramp up, and get stiff and swollen all the time. It is getting worse all the time, and sometimes it prevents me from making charms or using the mouse. I don't know if it is arthritis or what, but it it's not the worse of my problems...ugh. But, girlfriend, this was a great video, and I really enjoyed watching and listening to what's been goin on with you! You always come up with clever and cute ideas, which are always new and inspiring. So, thank you for all of your effort despite your limitations...you did an awesome job! I think your Mojo is coming back...just take itslow and easy, and try to have fun with it. We all understand and aren't going anywhere! Gosh, I was shocked to learn how many subbies you have now...whoo hoo! That is extraordinary and well deserved! See you in the next craft with me part 3. Lil hugs xoxo
Hi my friend, thank you so much for your kind words, very comforting and true. We can only do what we can do right. Sorry that your hands bother you too, it scares me that I can't craft as much as I would like it's depressing really. Hopefully the MRI will tell me more soon. It feels as though I've been on YT forever and I am so grateful for ever single subbie I have, especially one of my very first (that's you) LOL. time flies. Thank you for support but mostly for your friendship, wish we were closer so we could agonize with our criply hands and craft together!! chat soon sweetie xx
I went to the hand and upper limb centre at st Joseph’s hosp in London and they were fantastic. I used a soft wrist support when crafting and recently changed to kinesiology tape which is far more comfortable. I choose not to go the surgical route as it involved external fixation followed by6 months in a cast and prolonged period of physio therapy. So far the conservative method, range of motion exercises, moderate weight training and a naproxen is doing the trick. I wanted to share with you a cute technique I watched the other day that I think you may like. The lady(Cheryl Tallafuss on UA-cam) lightly applied uhu glue stick with her fingers to perimeter of a paper doily and adhered to printer paper. She then ran it thru her printer, printing off whatever image she wanted. Once it was finished she removed and had a gorgeous printed doily. She did the same with piano roll paper, cutting it to the size of the printer paper again only applying glue to the perimeter.
Hi Angie, Oh my you have certainly done your homework. Thank you for letting me know that there are alternatives. I will be having an MRI and I guess we will take it from there. Thank you for sharing Cheryl's idea, I will check that out because it sounds great. You got me with piano roll as I purchased about 30 boxes of it a few years ago and don't know what to do with it. Thanks again, take care of your hands and be well my friend xx
Ohhh I’m so sorry. I forgot about your hands. I bet cutting all of Jarf’s kits didn’t help. I kept wondering why you weren’t showing anything. You take care and work at your own pace. I’ll still be here.
Good morning Sabrina. Just go at the pace you can. I can empathize with you. I have arthritis in my hands and some days it is very painful. Hang in there. Hugs.
Hi Beverly, you are exactly right, just taking it slow. Thank you so much for watching, big hugs xx
