For everyone outside of the Dallas/Ft Worth area, Rich Peverley made an appearance Thirsday 3/13/14 at Stars practice in Frisco. Tonight he is in attendance at tonights game with the Flames. He got a standing ovation as expected. Thanks for all the well wishes. #NothingButRespect for the hockey fans of the world!
He’s working in player development for the Stars now. It was a very scary thing to witness. I have worked for the Stars for a long time, and it was gut wrenching. He has a condition called A-Fib and went into V-Fib that night. So thankful for our incredible medical staff and for the staff at UTSW St. Paul Hospital. #PlayingForPevs
So very true John. Thanks for checking in. My thanks to everyone who has taken the time to view this, say or leave a prayer, or share this video. The response has been a pleasant surprise. Rich Peverley has been a welcome player since arriving in Dallas. While saddened about being done for the season we wish Rich and his family nothing but the best. May what happened on March 10th not repeat itself for a time to come. There was a press conference earlier this day where Rich Peverley offered his thanks and gratitude to many, I will provide that later this morning on www.bgcsports.net at 9am CST. Again my thanks to all for checking in.
This event suggests that people should always exercise in public instead of running alone on a road or in the woods. I suffered something like this in 2005 while jogging on a treadmill in a Bally Fitness, and the skilled gym staff and the EMTs saved me until I was able to go to the hospital, but I would have died if I were alone.
Prayers for Rich Peverley. We still love you up here in New England.

Very sobering. Praying for a speedy recovery for Rich.
Lindy is such of a nice coach, he could have gone aggressive after all these questions but he always stayed calm and answered well ... i like him

How many of you are here after Jay Bouwmeester and his cardiac episode?
Hope he gets better soon
No team is going to risk putting him on the ice again
Sounds like Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy.
