Just a small feedback - As a native of Kukke Subrahmanya (departing through Subrahmanya Rd.), I feel obliged to correct your description of the religious importance of the place & the temple. This place is known for Sarp/Naag Dosh Nivaaran (Serpent worship) and not Manglik dosh. As philosophers quote, most of the unforeseen issues faced in a human life can be directly or indirectly tied to Sarp dosh (range from health issues to progeny) and can be resolved through various kinds of poojas here. The main deity is Lord Subrahmanya (Karthikeya) who is said to have been royally seated here by all the gods, after successfully slaying the demon Tharakasur. This place has mentions in the ancient Skanda Puraan, and is visited from all parts of the country. Additionally, there is another ancient & powerful deity - Sri Lakshmi Narasimha swamy, which is managed by an independent Mutt of Madhwa philosophy. This place has good accommodations and is very well accessible by highways too, from Bangalore & Mangalore.
